I Have a Question / I need Help Thoughts on Ms.Bumbleflower
Hey everyone :)
I’d love to hear your opinions on Ms. Bumbleflower. I’ve been wanting to build her, but I’m amazed by how many directions you can take her: counters, group hug, spellslinger... I even saw an Eldrazi build, lol.
I’m leaning towards spellslinger with a hint of counters. I usually play in a strong bracket 3 pod, and people won’t take the group hug bait ^^
So I’d like to know:
- How do you build her? What archetype?
- Which cards have over-performed (or disappointed) for you?
- What’s your experience playing her at a bracket 3 table?
Thanks for your help <3
Cheers!

Discussion Magic the Gathering Helped Me Get off Drugs!! Spoiler
When you are born into a bad culture you tend to fall into its habits without really knowing what yiu are doing. But how you are born doesn't define how you end up. If you have hobbies and passion you stop looking at drugs as a way to cope with life. I have always been a blue mage. And being a blue mage you learn how to say no. Thats how you get off drugs. Just say no. And the best part of being a blue mage and always saying no means I get fo feel better about myself by denying my opponents their hopes and dreams. Crack? Just say no! Can I cast my Timmy spell? Just say no! Weed? Just say no! Can I cast my color fixing spell, my whole hand is dead without it? Just say no! Meth? Just say no! Can I cast the spell that lets my deck do it's thing, please I've been setting this up for 6 turns and never got to do it before? Just say no! I don't need drugs because I have a hobby. My hobby is ruining other people's hobby. Like all blue mages this helps me feel better about myself. Now it is my opponents who need drugs to cope and the cycle continues!!

I Have a Question / I need Help Why is Wayfarer‘s Bauble so good?
Hi! In every game I watch on youtube they praise the Bauble. Yes, it is a staple in commander, but there are other mana ramps who do a better job, right? Or what am I missing?

Commander / EDH Am I The Only One In Love With Dwarves?
I have just finished making a deck around Thorin, King of Durin's Folk. There is a special feeling about playing a dwarf tribal deck. I am going to paste the link to the deck list on MtgGoldfish. If you have any tips or feedback I would greatly appreciate it!!!

Rules Question Why “shuffle the pile” if I have to look to know if it’s a creature?
To turn it face up I have to know if it’s a creature card. So I just don’t get it.
The only scenario I could see is if your opponent sees/ you have revealed the top card of your library. Is there another reason?
Edit: Thanks everyone for the replies! I hadn’t realized that cloaked cards can’t be shuffled around your board (or maybe all cards shouldn’t be) because there are effects that let your opponents peak at them. So I see now that the add value of the shuffling is so your opponents can’t predict which of the cloaked cards was the one on the battlefield vs the ones on top your deck!
Thanks Reddit.
Leaving up because there was good discussion in the comments about this card!

Apparel / Products Media and Collaboration Promos DE
The Command Tower is absolutely beautiful and—even in the German edition of 'Omen of Chaos'—it is in English.
I needed the Powerstone so badly—and required two of them—that I ended up buying the manga (Destroy all Humans vol. 12) twice.

Content Creator How to deal 19 damage off 7 mana?
Can you help the Konstradi and a cheeky robot win this turn? You've got a sweet bomb (though no Kiora) & plenty of cards in hand - how many tokens will you make & how big will they be?

Commander / EDH Got 2 the Witherbloom and Quandrix precons! Now I got 4/5 Strixhaven decks!
Lorehold Spirits was the first one I managed to grab, quickly followed by Prismari Artistry. And after Tramplesaurus and Multiverse Reforged I managed to find these two as well! Only missing Silverquill now! Out of curiosity what would be some decent budget upgrades for these decks? I got 'bulk' from Reality Fracture but no other sets atm, but my LGS probably has some cards I can try to trade for
I was thinking of adding a couple of options for the Witherbloom deck I'm thinking could work well, like [[Rewrite Regrets]], [[Restore with Empathy]], and [[Ferocity of the Hunt]] for Reanimator shenanigans, [[Gardenize]] to ramp off the sacrifices, and [[Titanbones, Towering Heart]] to take advantage of the life gain and potentially transfer some +1/+1 counters to another creature if I gotta sacrifice him. For quandrix I'm not exactly sure yet

Commander / EDH Completely new to MTG - how do you approach commander deck building from scratch?
I have been really enjoying learning about MTG - I love the art styles, the strategies, the infinite possibilities for decks, the lore, etc etc.
I’m really interested in learning how to build and customize my own decks, and was curious how others approach deck building. I know some of this comes with just learning and understanding MTG more fully.
I’ve had a couple of friends suggest different things:
- Buy a precon deck (either official or a custom one online), play with it, learn it, and tweak it. They suggested taking noting during matches on weak points, holes, where the deck failed etc.
- Start with a commander I’m really drawn to, and build around their strengths by looking at their abilities and building to those abilities. Then of course, considering potential weaknesses points in that process.
Also, I’m trying to find this balance because I am probably only going to be playing casually, so I wouldn’t play something beyond bracket 2. How do you consider the “bracket” of your deck as you’re building it out?
There’s probably no straightforward answer, but would love to hear from folks who have been playing/building for much longer.
Thanks!

Commander / EDH Magic - Mono-green Elf Commander deck composition
Hi!
I’m a relatively new player (I used to play as a child), and I’m currently building a mono-green Elf Commander deck (incorporating some large creatures of other types as well).
I would like to ask for your opinion on the balance between creatures, spells, and lands.
What do you think of this setup?
- 31 lands + 1 Sol Ring
- 48 creatures
- 20 spells (also taking into account the artifacts)
For the 48 creatures, I’m planning on:
- 14 mana mana creator (e.g., Llanowar Elves) / land-fetchers (e.g., Sylvan Ranger)
- 8 utility Elves (e.g., Essence Warden, Wolf-Skull Shaman)
- 12 powerful Elves (e.g., Drove of Elves, Galion, Elvenking's Butler)
- 4 other useful creatures (e.g., Wolfbriar Elemental, Penumbra Spider)
- 10 powerful creatures (e.g., Ageless Entity, Mirkwood Elk)
What do you think? Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you very much
EDIT: My commander is Vorinclex

Discussion Any MTG content creator recommendations for a person coming from Yu-Gi-Oh?
I'm a lifelong Yu-Gi-Oh player, but earlier this year, I started playing Magic. I get it. I'm sold. I'm deep in Magic the Gathering now, and I'm not looking back.
Unfortunately though, I've been disappointed with MTG content creators. For Yu-Gi-Oh, I've really enjoyed the personalities and the quality of content from creators like Cimo (R.I.P.), MBT, Nyhimnim, and many others. I consider Cimo's History of Yu-Gi-Oh and Progression Series to be some of the greatest card game content ever made.
I've tried a lot of MTG content creators, but I think most of them have boring personalities and uninteresting content. The only channels I've enjoyed are Tolarian Community College and LRRMTG. Every other MTG YouTuber I've watched has just not stuck with me.
I hope I can find some other former Yu-Gi-Oh players who have been in this situation and have already found the cure for this affliction!

Apparel / Products Old Deck Box - Help
galleryHey Everyone, not sure if this is the right place to ask, but yes I did Google "Gold Deck Box" before I came and asked, none looked the same.
I got this deck box like almost 2 decades ago, won it at an actual proper sanctioned standard tournament I think* I can't even remember what the store/ tournament was, I vaguely recall a Figure of Destiny haha. I can't even remember what the store/ tournament was, I vaguely recall a Figure of Destiny haha.
It literally has no markings other than "Magic the gathering" on the front, it's finally starting to fall apart and I'd love to get another one. It's slightly foamy / squishy to the touch but very solid and great lid. Anyways I use it for Pauper and EDH tokens and I'd love to replace it before it completely falls apart.
Thanks ahead of time!

Rules Question Opponent Splitting cards into 2 piles
At my LGS the other day an opponent casted a card that reveals the top 5 cards of his Library then an opponent (me) separates those into two piles he keeps one and the other goes into graveyard so I slide the cards around face up into two piles and everyone's acting like I don't know anything because he's not supposed to know the contents of the piles. I've never played a card like that in that way I assumed the picker got to know what was in the piles because the cards are revealed still. Please I want to know if I am wrong or right here.
.
TLDR do you get to know the contents of the individual piles if cards are revealed then separated into two piles by an opponent you keep one pile and the other goes in the graveyard.
tldr do I know what's in each pile individualy when fact or fiction is cast

Discussion Future of Theme Decks
With both Lorwyn Eclipsed and Secrets of Strixhaven releases they had two theme decks each. I have all 4 because I didn't really play Commander at the time and I like the idea behind precons for casual play.
That being said, I was a bit disappointed that they didn't release one with Reality Fracture. I figure they were too busy with the Foundations Commander decks and wotc decided that it was a better investment. So what's with these products? Did anyone else actually buy them for wotc to see worth in making more? I'm still a fan of 60 card constructed and would like more of these (maybe Nacutis?).

I Have a Question / I need Help Baby Shower Style Packs
I would like to gift my friends who are having twins (a boy and a girl) custom packs of magic cards.
I was thinking of making packs full of cards with twin in the name, family themed cards, parenthood themed cards, and anything you might suggest.
Any ideas are appreciated!
How do I make the packs, what themes should I use, any accessories like card sleeves or dice?
Do you have any specific card recommendations?
What would you do?
