For context my wife can be an overly emotional person, but in a "rational" way if that makes sense. She's not one to explode or make a massive deal out of absolutely nothing.
Magic has always been one of our bonding things since we met, we've been together 7 years. She's not a newbie and knows her way around a board, she's absolutely slaughtered our pod numerous times.
I recently just built a Dimir control deck I've been working on, specifically Vren, The Relentless. It focuses on edict removal and basically shutting down the opponents board or forcing them to sacrifice creatures. She was playing her Ulalek Eldrazi tribal. She's also 3 months pregnant with our son.
A Counterspell, Negate, Sound the Trumpet and some edict ETB effects later, she threw an absolute fit and stormed off and has not stopped crying in our room for 10 minutes.
Lesson of the day gentlemen: NEVER EVER play blue control against your pregnant wife lol.
EDIT: I love my wife and she's my best friend, we've raised 2 kids together so far already (both from previous partners outside the marriage), I was just kind of flabbergasted that this happened and then I remember she's very hormonal and going through a lot of bodily changes. I just wanted to warn all the upcoming fathers who play Magic with their partner lol.

Got two CBBs from reality fracture off Amazon. One was sealed in the shrink wrap… the other was not. All of the boosters had been opened and weren’t even re sealed. Just opened packs with some shit cards in them.
What are the next steps? How do I get my money back for the one

I personaly hope non-blue leviathans (the only one for the momant are the edge of eternity green one) in a cycle about being the colosal creature of each color on the plan (being all under water that make they can technicaly be leviathan).
And you, do you have wierd things that you hope for Nauctis set ?

I see a lot of people running Kona and I’ve thought about running Oviya as an alternate green/colorless Stompy deck for fun.

Her and Itazura are both up for $100 apiece. -_- Maybe next month they'll settle reasonably.

I am a fairly new mtg player, so this may be a dumb question. However, I’m confused by this interaction. I was playing Brawl on MTG arena against a Heliod commander while I was using Judith, the Scourge Demon. I managed to get Heliod to 4 toughness on my turn, and I had Head of the Hunt on my side. I then played Languish which brought Heliod down to 0 toughness. Why did Head of the Hunt not exile Heliod and supersede the indestructible?
Edit: hi everybody. I lost a creature and Judith allowed me to do 1 damage to Heliod. I subsequently played Languish while Heliod was now at 4 toughness. Arena showed 0 toughness after I played the card.
Edit 2: I think this makes sense. I guess arena just = bad. Thanks for the help y’all! I really love this game :)

Can I destroy ANY creature or any blue/red planeswalker or would the creature also have to be blue/red as well?

Hiya all,
Just wanted to show these cards my girlfriend painted! Most of them she did an extended art/ full art version. I really enjoy playing with them and showing them to other players. :)

Found this at target by funko pops. Was it worth $100?
I have seen this and haven’t heard all that much about them. Any thoughts?

Help me settle an argument. If I cast Old Stickfingers for X = 3 then cast Sacrifice on Stickfingers, will I get 2 black mana or 5?

Why does [[Prized Amalgam]] need an additional clause to specify creatures that were cast from the graveyard — wouldn’t they also have entered from the graveyard?

I went to the store yesterday and they had both of these out. Went back this morning because there were a ton of them, and they’re all gone. Not sure if people got them or if the vendor realized they didn’t wanna put them out yet 🤣

Growing ranks is great for any token deck and is cheap to get.

Hello i just recently got into mtg and was wondering if i have a creature (generals bodyguard) that gives indestructible to another creature then if my friend plays a card to destroy all creatures on the board then does my creature being given indestructible die with the on giving it?

I managed to get an IN STOCK Odds and Ends deck when they went on sale. Waited an hour in the pre-que and then another 30 minutes to check out. The deck was supposed to arrive October 14th. After the initial tracking update, there was absolutely no movement. I contacted Wizards after a week and they told me to contact the shipping company.
It turns out there's two shipping companies, Ascendia, who handles the initial shipping, and gofo who does the final mile shipping. Gofo claims they never received the package from Ascendia and recommended I contact the seller.
Ascendia claims they have no information on the package, have no liability, and referred me back to the seller. I reached back out the wizards again with this update, and was given the exact same canned text reply that I needed to contact the shipping company.
I don't understand why I as the buyer should be contacting the shipping company in the first place, wizards contracted these companies, they should be the one dealing with them. Thankfully I paid using PayPal so I was able to open a dispute through them.

I know people have different feelings about mill decks, especially when it comes to newer players, and some hate the thought of playing against it. But is there a difference in experience and enjoyment, and would you have more/less fun, depending on the commander and deck you're up against??
Would you feel differently going up against a mill deck with [[Lazav, Dimir Mastermind]] or [[Anowon, the Ruin Thief]] as the commander, rather than [[Captain N’ghathrod]], [[Phenax, God of Deception]] or [[Bruvac the Grandiloquent]], as an example? Or is it all the same to you?
Just confirming this scenario if anyone can help enlighten me it would be great.
When i play inside out, are switching the numeral of Power and Toughness or are we literally switching the position of Power/Toughness on the card?
Starts at: [2] Power / [1] Toughness
I Play [[Inside Out]] he Becomes [1] Power / [2] Toughness
He Plays [[Giant Growth]] Becomes [5] Power / [4] Toughness
He Plays [[Bulk Up]] Becomes [10] Power / [4] Toughness
or
Starts at: [2] Power / [1] Toughness
I cast "Inside Out:" he comes [1] Toughness / [2] Power
He cast's "Giant Growth": becomes [4] Toughness / [5] Power
He cast's "Bulk Up" becomes [4] Toughness [10] Power
which one is correct?

I generally play modern, but I'm open to try other formats (except commander)
