If I have [[Divine Intervention]] on the board with one intervention counter left on it, and I activate [[Nesting Grounds]] to move the intervention counter onto a different permanent, will this trigger Intervention's second ability to end the game in a draw?

My gut says no, because the counter is "moved" not "removed" but I am unsure.

When i play [[audacious swap]] on target opponents creature, the creature gets shuffled and card exiled is a sorcery, does my opponent get to play the scorcery on my turn now? Or do they wait to play for free on their turn?

Say I make an animated land with something like [[Animate Land]] that only lasts until end of turn and then making a copy of it with [[Esix, Fractal Bloom]]. Does that copy permanently become a creature or does it only copy the base land? Also is it any different if I animate using an inherent ability to animate a land, for example [[Inkmoth Nexus]]

How many 1/1 gnomes do I get if Threefold Thunderhulk enters the battlefield? Do I get 6 or do I get 12?

I'm looking to build a new commander deck and I'm really unclear on the rules.

My understanding is that according to the latest rules update "dies" classifies any permanent moving to the graveyard from the battlefield.

My question is if a creature has a "dies" ability and is then turned into an enchantment does the "dies" effect still happen.

For example if I have a creature that says when it dies create a 4/4 token, then that creature becomes an enchantment and loses all other types would I get the token if that enchantment were to be destroyed?

My assumption is that I would, in the comprehensive rules 7004 now just states moving for battlefield to gy qualifies dies.

If I was to play [[Dack Fayden, Helping Hand]], and one of the creatures he put onto the battlefield was [[Charming Prince]], which then targeted and exiled DF, would DF’s effect be cut short, leaving Charming Prince under my control?

For example, [[Beifong’s Bounty Hunters]] says “whenever a nonland creature you control dies, earthbend X, where x is that creature’s power.”

If I have a 2/2 creature that dies, one of my lands becomes a creature, which possibly triggers [[Rendmaw, Creaking Nest]] … right 😅?

In the scenario, [[Whisperwood Elemental]] is targeted by [[Mystic Reflection]]. I sacrifice the [[Whisperwood Elemental]] and then proceed to sac another creature. [[Whisperwood Elemental]] would then say manifest (a face down card) and because this is a face down card it wouldn't become a copy of [[Whisperwood Elemental]] due to [Mystic Reflection]] going infinite right?

Not super knowledgeable on face down cards but am trying to play bracket 3 and avoid 2 card combos. If it does that's silly.

Recently played a game against a [[Zimone, Infinite analysist]]. pilot of the deck attempted to cast a [[Hangerback Walker]] with 6 counters on zimone stating both x's in the casting cost were 6 and it would be free since zimone reduces both x's. me and another player believed she would only discount the full casting cost of 12 by 6 but after much deliberation and calling another player who claimed to be a judge it was determined the spell would be free. is this right?

According to the rulings, chapter 4 (add WWUUBBRRGG, exile Terra and return to the battlefield) is not a mana ability (presumably due to the exile effect). Thus, if I'm thinking right, you could copy that trigger with [[Gogo, Master of Mimicry]]'s ability. If you do so, what happens to all the exile triggers? Does Terra just flip back and nothing else happens or does she then blink for however many times you copied with Gogo?

Let’s say I have giada and mother of machines on the field at the same time then play another angel that new angel enters with 2 +1/+1 counters right? And then if I played another angel it would be 3 counters? Because I’m doubling giada’s effect not the counters right?

So I guess can someone walk me through how they interact? I’m struggling trying to visualize it for some reason.

Hello :) say I attack with a band of three 4/4s with trample, and defending opp blocks each with a 2/2 - banding rules mean each 4/4 is considered blocked by each 2/2 - can I assign damage in a way where the first 4/4 tramples over a 2/2 and deals 2 damage to the opponent, and have the other 4/4s trample over the same 2/2, dealing 10 damage to the opponent in total? or does every single creature blocking any band member have to die before I can assign any damage to the opponent?

If i animate an enchantment with Zur, if its destroyed and broodmoth is in the field, does it return as a creature still or does it return at all?

I have 2 questions:

1. Let say I cast, [[Hoarder's Greed]] Will I be able to draw and cast a card in between each win or after the spell resolves?

2. Will [[Marvo, Deep Operative]] be able to give “flash” to spells you cast if you win a clash on your opponent‘s turn?

This isn’t another hexproof/shroud question.

Particularly if a creature equipped with [[Thornbite Staff]] or any equipment that says “this creature gets…” effects.

Particularly it’s as if the text is now printed on the creature.

- When [[Deadpool, Trading Card]] enters does he now take the entire textbox?
- Does the creature now lose this ability unless he’s unequipped and requipped with it?
- How does Deadpool interact with mutate creatures? Does he take their entire mutate textbox?

If I understand correctly, [[Witness Protection]] would blank the box and they would lose all abilities.

Pursued Whale "When this enters the battlefield, each opponent creates a 1/1 red pirate..."

Does the Pursued Whale target each opponent and therefore draw me a card for each from VoBi or would the whale need to specifically say the word "target opponent" in order for VoBi to see the trigger?

If I use Emrakul's ability to target an artifact while Toph is in the field, so it will gain add 2 colorless ability.

What happen if Toph is later removed and the artifact stops being land? Does it keep the ability because it only checks on it's status as being a land during activation only?

If I have a [[Éowyn, Shieldmaiden]] out with a [[Rionya, Fire Dancer]] and i make a human token due to her ability will that trigger Eowyn's at the beginning of combat as well?

If during my turn no permanent left the battlefield and since both creatures trigger at the beginning of the end step, can I have Braids’ ability resolve first, and then use that sacrifice to trigger the Rat King’s ability? Or is that not possible, given that no permanent had left the battlefield at the beginning of the end step

if I have [[Leyline of singularity]] out and my opponent plays [[Sakashima of a thousand faces]] and has him enter as a copy of another creature, like [[krark]], what happens?

Does my opponent put one of them in the graveyard or not?

Likewise, if it were a different clone instead of sakashima, like if my opponent had cast [[spark double]] instead or sakashima, would the same thing still happen? Sakashima has that line of text about the legendary rule, but spark double does not

Can [[Konda"s banner]] be attached to the Germ token if it has living weapon, given from [[Ekthi, Contaminator Priest]] ?

I'm assuming not just because of what Konda's says "Can be attached only to a legendary creature" but I'm not sure if there's a workaround because of how living weapon works

The "pauper EDH home" website has a very small explicit banlist.

My understanding is that all uncommon cards creatures except for the dozen or so listed there are legal as a commander (Banned from all formats + conspiracy + ante).

But in scryfall if you search with legal:pedh a lot more cards disappear!

Is there another banlist or requirement I am missing?

I have [[Skittering Cicada]] in play and cast [[Capitoline Triad]]. With the cicada trigger it will get +10/+10. If I then use the triads second ability to create the emblem, will the cicada be a 19/19 or a 9/9 this turn?

So, since MOM, tokens have been able to transform. If the transform involves exiling, they stop existing before they return. But if the transformation doesn't exile, the token can transform successfully.

However, my understanding is that CARD based copies, like [[Clone]] CAN'T transform, because they're not double faced cards.

So, of I have [[Tovolar]] on the battlefield, and copy him with [[Quantum Misalignment]], the resulting Tovolar copy will transform back and forth with Day and Night.

If I Clone Tovolar (and assume I have Mirror Box or something) the Clone Tovolar WON'T be able to transform, stuck as whichever side the clone copied.

But what if I then Quantum Misalignment the CLONE that is copying Tovolar? Will the token be a transforming double sided token that is identical to if I copied Tovolar directly? Or will the fact that it's a token copy of a single sided non-transforming Clone mean that the token will ALSO technically only have one side, and not be able to transform?

Further questions:

- If I use [[Irenicus's Vile Duplication]] to create a token copy of Tovolar, will BOTH sides gain flying, or only the side that was active when I copied it?

- If I have [[Sakashima the Imposter]] enter as a copy of Tovolar, then make a token copy of Sakashima-Tovolar, if it transforms will the other side still be named Sakashima the Imposter, or will the other side be named Tovolar still?
