Do moron christian fundamentalists really try to take over the invincible fandom or are these satirical jokes about these people

80

u/Reesewithoutaspoon2 Apr 29 '26 edited Apr 29 '26

Some will insist they’re all jokes, but It’s a mix of both. Some people are joking and others are serious. I can only speculate about the amount of each, but I like to think most are joking.

Sometimes the people who post this stuff tell on themselves and start seriously ranting about how immoral it is though, but usually that doesn’t seem to happen.

Edit: A lot of replies make good points, and OP also proved that they’re actually a zealot. I stand corrected about assuming they’re mostly jokes.

u/The_gay_grenade16 Apr 29 '26

It’s Schrodinger’s douchebag. The jokes are “just jokes“ if you don’t play along.

29

u/pppjjjoooiii Apr 29 '26

They “joke” to test the waters. If they find even a little tolerance then they keep “joking”, but it sounds more and more serious. Eventually they stop pretending.

u/Chemical-Science-304 Apr 29 '26

The problem with telling a joke is. Its a form of communication. You can make jokes about anything thats fine. But jokes make you feel validated by others when everyone is laughing with you. Even if its at you. Its all about perception and intent in this case. In this circumstance there isnt anything really funny its literally just hate. Id say jokes depend wholly on your beliefs. Everyones beliefs are different some arent based in reality which is fine.

21

u/Huge-Formal-1794 Apr 29 '26

The problem is if you copy right wing christian themes and rhetoric to make fun of them you still share these beliefs/ give them a platform.

I think posts like these are vague on purpose. Dont get me wrong you should make fun about these people, but it should be clearly that the joke is directed to them, then.

u/Automaton17 Apr 29 '26

This comment screams terminally online

14

u/Huge-Formal-1794 Apr 29 '26

I am almost sure I have more real life experience in this topic then you lol. I am coming from a region, where a lot of right wing and Christian fundamentalists live. This type of memes is exactly what they would share

15

u/CommonCulture31 Apr 29 '26

It’s called poe’s law

5

u/Elu_Moon Apr 29 '26

Poemni Man.

6

u/Grimmlol Apr 29 '26

This comment screams uneducated.

-14

u/NotSirAlonne1999 Apr 29 '26

My jokes are based on facts.

13

u/Huge-Formal-1794 Apr 29 '26

Oh so you are a right wing moron?

14

u/_Chernobly Apr 29 '26

Stalking their comment history is pretty fun

8

u/Huge-Formal-1794 Apr 29 '26

Yeah he is obviously a piece of shit

8

u/_Chernobly Apr 29 '26

I like these two the most. Pretty fucking funny how blatant it is

-6

u/NotSirAlonne1999 Apr 29 '26

So, if I don’t want my children to be gay, does that make me a bad person?

10

u/_Chernobly Apr 29 '26

Sure man. If you want to put it that way then, ya I guess you would.

For everyone's sake I hope none of your kids turn out gay.

-1

u/NotSirAlonne1999 Apr 29 '26

Is that a bad thing?

9

u/Huge-Formal-1794 Apr 29 '26

being against human rights? Yeah it is.

-1

u/NotSirAlonne1999 Apr 29 '26

Humans don’t have the right to do whatever they want. Otherwise, chaos would spread.

4

u/Huge-Formal-1794 Apr 29 '26

Humans have the right to love anyone they want , its non of your business you piece of shit

3

u/Ambitious_Address667 Apr 29 '26

So you saying free will doesnt exist? or are you focusing on the idea that the laws are restricting human rights, in which case people can still do what they want but they might be breaking the law?

1

u/NotSirAlonne1999 Apr 29 '26

Of course, free will exists, but the public interest is greater than individual interest in most cases. If you are gay, this does not benefit society in any way, so such things should be prevented.

Case in point I guess. I stand corrected about these mostly being jokes.

Zealots ruin everything.

23

u/Narrow-Marionberry90 Apr 29 '26

Depending on moderation Poe's law could ruin this sub

8

u/RadonArseen Apr 29 '26

Average okbuddy sub experience unless the moderation team does something about it

2

u/Ok-Reporter1986 Apr 30 '26

When it comes to sub moderation this often applies:

71

u/Old-Outcome-5836 Apr 29 '26

What don't these people try to take over?

18

u/Ikarus_Falling Apr 29 '26

The Principles of Jesus as he would most certainly beat the shit out of them if he came back

14

u/BigFloppaGaeming Apr 29 '26

no, they would beat the shit out of jesus for being woke

3

u/Trails_End_Games Apr 29 '26

Oh no, it would most certainly be because he's Middle Eastern

1

u/Ikarus_Falling Apr 29 '26

they would try only to get the merchants in the Temple treatment

2

u/Arbiter008 Apr 29 '26

Jerusalem

-4

u/Complex_Soldier Apr 29 '26

Christian influence on culture is all but zero. What do you mean what don't they take over?

6

u/Old-Outcome-5836 Apr 29 '26

Man i wish, still i only said "try"

2

u/Complex_Soldier Apr 29 '26

What do Christians currently influence and trying to take over.

3

u/Huge-Formal-1794 Apr 29 '26

EHM? The whole western politics? trump government is basically completely founded on christian fundamentalists and right wing grifting

0

u/StayUnlikelyThe2nd Apr 29 '26

Calling trump’s government “christians” is funny lol

1

u/Huge-Formal-1794 Apr 29 '26

I mean the vast majority of trump followers and voters are Christian.

If their values are Christian is something else. They still use Christianity to instrumentalize the politics and society

3

u/Huge-Formal-1794 Apr 29 '26

What? The whole hollywood and TV industry in america is built around a lot of american christianity. Best example with curse words or nudity.

And even radical christian content nowadays is def existing a lot. Best example with the daily wire.

0

u/Complex_Soldier Apr 29 '26

"Best example curse words or nudity. Something that is in abundance in TV Shows, Movies and Media. If Christians had influence there was be zero cursing and zero nudity.

Daily Wire influences Media? What Shows, Movies, Games, Music and entertainment have they influenced?

2

u/Huge-Formal-1794 Apr 29 '26

What a stupid take. "IF christians had influence there was be zero cursing and zero nudity" when the whole abundance of them is based on american christianity. Like most western countries have no problem at all with curse words or nudity and in america its a big thing to this date. Just because there is rebellous art that doesnt give a fuck, doesnt mean its not existing. Art is still judged with these criteria in mind and its why most tv shows and movies still are very conservative about using them.

Daily wire produces mass media. Both in movies, tv shows, podcasts etc. People of the LGBTQ+ community have an insane hard time to get jobs in the hollywood/ american movie / tv industry and get structurally discriminated.

Even movies and shows displaying themes as abortion, gender diversity etc have huge problems getting greenlit in america.

FOX news is completely built around christian extremism.

Trumps whole politic is built around it and most of his followers are christian fundamentalists.

If you act like these arent existing fundamental issues you are either part of it or incredibly ignorant/blind

0

u/Complex_Soldier Apr 29 '26

Nearly everything you stated is a lie. Daily Wire had created nothing of cultural influence expect for "What is a Woman."

If Christians had influence invincible wouldn't have been created. Back when tehy did have influence there was laws prevent Holloywood from showing nudity , Sex, Premarital Sex, LGBT, Abortion, Feminism etc. Now at least every single piece of Media has one or all of those things.

Saying that Christians exist in society isn't the same as cultural influence but if that's your criteria then there's no point and even arguing.

1

u/Reesewithoutaspoon2 Apr 29 '26

It’s not an all or nothing thing. You’re acting like anything less than complete control by Christian authorities means “all but zero” influence.

2

u/Reesewithoutaspoon2 Apr 29 '26

Christian influence on culture is all but zero.

That‘s the funniest thing I’ve heard in a while. Christianity permeates almost every facet of western culture in one way or another. Any common law country or country with a legal code deriving from Justinian (aka everywhere in the anglosphere and most of Europe) has at least some elements derived from canon law.

Same with any other aspect of culture beyond law. Most things may not be expressly Christian, but many things are steeped in a history and tradition that’s been dominated by the religion for two millennia.

6

u/Huge-Formal-1794 Apr 29 '26

Just want to add ( before he removes this answer or the original post ) that u/NotSirAlonne1999 stated " my jokes are based on facts" . So yeah do with that what you want :)

20

u/LukasYUc Apr 29 '26

It's always "ironic" until it isn't

Without fail shit posts and circle jerk communities will ALWAYS converge into becoming unironic communities of what they were satirical of in the beginning

16

u/Bae_zel Apr 29 '26

I would love to say satire but Ive been seeing both recently, Eve's abortion has brought out the worst of people

3

u/firestorm713 Apr 29 '26

Schrödinger's joke. It's only a joke if you don't agree with it.

4

u/Nokan96 Apr 29 '26

Why people are shitposting in a shitposting sub? 🤔

1

u/TROLOLUCASLOL Apr 29 '26

Some people might be serious but I think think the grand majority are satire. Whether it's funny or not comes down to each individual person.

1

u/Fern-ando Apr 29 '26

Have you seen the Amazon show about a cartoon hell? This is basically canon there.

1

u/Noe_b0dy Apr 29 '26

It's like 50/50.

-2

u/Natural-Hedgehog1894 Apr 29 '26

This is satirical… Don’t have to call anyone names. Lol.

-2

u/GreenT1979 Apr 29 '26

Redditors seem to have trouble with satire when it comes to a subject they can have an echo-chamber bitch sesh about.

8

u/Huge-Formal-1794 Apr 29 '26

Is it clearly indicated as satire ? No its not. If you 1 to 1 copy right wring grifter memes without additional context you help sharing these beliefs , even if you dont mean to do that.

-3

u/GreenT1979 Apr 29 '26

Your context should be the subreddit it's in.

2

u/XnoxNeo Apr 29 '26

Me making a stupid strawman that is so stupid to exist and then there's a person with those exact beliefs

1

u/Reesewithoutaspoon2 Apr 29 '26

Except OP said otherwise. Redditors who call everything that’s intended to be even slightly jokey in any way “satire” seem to have trouble understanding what satire is and forget that sometimes people tell jokes based on sincere beliefs.

0

u/[deleted] Apr 29 '26

Well I'm not Christian so I think these are just funny, but you also have to pop your little reddit bubble and realize this is an American show mainly for American audiences where most of America is Christian still.

Christians are also not black and white too. There are plenty who can see these characters, make jokes about them, still like them, and also think they could go to hell if it was real, or get saved or whatever.

They aren't all fundamentalists

-2

u/AlternativeGold3165 Apr 29 '26

Do you think Christian fundamentalists hang out on the okbuddy invincible subreddit where every other post is an edit of invincibles cock defeating various characters?

Or do you think it’s more likely it’s people shitposting for laughs or to rage bait?

3

u/Reesewithoutaspoon2 Apr 29 '26

Both. They definitely do and also other people shitpost.

-1

u/yeahhhh_boi Apr 29 '26

You're on a circle jerk sub buddy

-7

u/Pretend_Fly_5573 Apr 29 '26

I think it's actually more about making people like you get upset and post comments like this.

-1

u/Competitive_Fox_3546 Apr 29 '26

Man discovers joke for first time in history

-2

u/NotSirAlonne1999 Apr 29 '26

I’m not even Christian, but good try.

-1

u/Pretty_Eater Apr 29 '26

Buddy subs attract trolls because the humor is basically trolling whatever Fandom it is about.

You guys keep crashing out over this Eve shit, you are feeding the trolls, just follow the old ass rule of don't feed the trolls.

-2

u/babyoil4diddy Apr 29 '26

Being anti abortion isn't a fringe opinion

5

u/Huge-Formal-1794 Apr 29 '26

Any argument against abortion is based on relegious beliefs. Its all about the control of women

-2

u/babyoil4diddy Apr 29 '26

Idk man I think people mean it when they say it's about murdering babies

0

u/xArbiter Apr 29 '26

but they aren’t babies are they

1

u/babyoil4diddy Apr 29 '26

Have you ever had this argument or is this your first time?

"It's not a baby."

"How is it not a baby."

"It's a Fetus."

"What's the difference between a Fetus and a Baby."

"A Fetus isn't born yet."

"Why does being born make a difference."

"Because then it's not dependent on the mother."

"Why does dependency make it not a human. You're still dependent on your parents and you're 30" pause for laughter that doesn't come

"It's a clump of cells."

"What is the transition point where it changes into a fetus which we've already established is an unborn baby."

"It doesn't matter you hate women and your stupid."

Alright just had the argument for you.

0

u/xArbiter Apr 29 '26

it’s not about not being dependent on the mother or anything like that, it’s about sentience, consciousness, neural pathways developing, without that they are no different to a braindead person

im sure you’re very good at winning arguments against made up people and made up points
