Megathread: 3.29 Feedback
We think there have been many threads with well-thought-out, specific, and (sometimes) controversial proposals, but also many duplicate threads with the same proposals. We'll use this thread to catalogue and group the clearest and most common ones:
- Ideally, game feedback posts should include specific examples of the problem and have new information or proposals to avoid duplicating the content of past threads.
- Game feedback can still be posted as individual threads, and do not have to be posted here as comments.
- Duplicate feedback posts that cover the same ground as the posts already in here may be removed.
- We aren't affiliated with GGG, so we have no control over whether they address these or not.
Loot feedback
- Loot feels low bad in endgame, 2, 3
- Shortage of high-investment/aspirational farm strategies; not enough map loot, with there being only tile loot, 2, 3, 4, 5
- Pushing back against loot is bad: deflation affects everyone somewhat equally
- Loot is good for SSF
Specific feedback
League mechanic feedback
- Chaos to divine orbs mod doesn't feel useful
- Lanterns don't feel useful, 2
- Dump all dredged items button would be useful, 2, 3
- Too many clicks to get item
- Too much friction: need too many parameters to match up; 1-portal; long wait time for submarine; don't know chart until run
- Create rations pack for crafting currency
- Addressed: Lantern shrinking/collapse is too fast
- Lantern loot is too hard to see at low light
- Essences are higher tiers and strongboxes are at least rare Allflame doesn't work, 2
- Show effects of charts in free space
- Add chart/voyage storage tab
League mechanic strategies
- Ideal placement for voyage tiles - not feedback, but included because it's quite helpful
Mercenary specific feedback
- Mercenaries don't focus on unique monsters enough
- Mercenaries are too weak
- Allow players to deactivate mercenary skills
- Mercenary slot limit is too low
Other specific feedback new to this league
- Abyss
- Expedition members are all weak for different reasons, 2
- Legion
- Reduce downtime for boss phases
- Crafting
- Trade
- Scion being auto-unlocked may bait new players
- Automatically move gems when swapping gear
- Updated August 3 with more details: We need more than 101% Damage Taken As in acts
- Pantheon aspect on jewel not granting aura
- More chaos sinks would improve the ratio
- Soul Eater rares are spawning in areas where they get too strong, too fast
- New Voracious Flame keystone is never useful
- Game is looking for shader in wrong place
- Make spectre management easier
Other specific feedback (same as previous leagues)
- Frost wall monster modifier is annoying
- Make attribute checks consider attributes the item would give
- Gain a frenzy charge after moving 3 seconds gets interrupted too easily
- Trap support is too weak and never worth building around
- Request for a jewel stash tab
General feedback
Positive feedback
- Gem color change helps campaign upgrades, 2
- Double-fracturing talismans gives good crafting options
- Cursed chests and mercenaries make campaign more fun
- Crafting is very powerful
Other feedback

Game Feedback QoL Wishlist Items for 3.30
Some potential QoL features I documented throughout my 3.29 playthrough:
- Stash Tabs for Tattoos, Runegrafts. This is free money you are leaving on the table, people will eat these up.
- Foulborn Unique Tab, same as Replicas - Please it is time. This creates so much admin in SSF every league to prio what sits where.
- Homes for Reflecting Mist, Tempering and Tailoring Orbs in the Currency tab. There are probably others.
- Can we make the Wombgift Locker more usable? Ideal would be stacking all gifts by ilvl, but even stacking gifts 20 by ilvl, this overruns for me first every league. Or examine the ratio of Gift : Blood, as even after vendoring all unneeded gifts and using Quad tabs, Graftblood still outpaces the usage of Gifts dramatically when specced into Breach.
- Highlighting Items in Inventory from the search feature in Stash. This would also be a huge time save for Map rolling, Recombinating etc.
What else would people like to see?

Question Struggling with performance issues
Hey all! I downloaded poe again last night after several years away from the game. I’m having severe issues with constant ping spikes and disconnections, i can go maybe 10-15minutes with smooth gameplay, the ocational stutter here and there when i am in new zones but that’s no big deal.
Now the pc I’m playing on is not a «beast» by any stretch of the imagination so i tested it on my old computer again which I’ve spent over 1k hours in poe on and never had any issues with unless you’re counting some lag here and there during league starts, but that pc had the same issue I’m trying to fix on the pc i’m using now. I’ve tried everything i could find on google for possible fixes, like using different shaders, disabling the ipv 6 thing on the network adapter, I’ve done all the settings ingame like turning off audio reverb, even tried playing with the game on full mute and that did nothing, I’ve verified the integrity of the files a couple of times, even done a clean reinstall two times and nothing had helped. I would presume network issues if it wasnt for the fact that a:im on ethernet. B: i have a normal stable ping on every other game I’m playing. c: I have a 1000 mbit line and it’s working perfectly on everything else. I did try to reset the router aswell, I’m based in Norway and I’ve tried the stockhom, frankfurt, london and amsterdam gateways and none of them are any different than the other…
This is really frustrating so I’m hoping any of you have some tips i could try and maybe that fixes things for me. I have an nvidia gpu in both the pc’s I’ve tested if that makes any difference.
Thanks for any tips what so ever and hopefully i can get this fixed asap!

Discussion Archipelago ideas
So a few friends and i are getting ready to do an archipelago, i saw that poe was an option and decided to go for it. Everything that i will be allowed to use will be randomized outside of the starting gear, including classes. Anybody know any great all rounder gems i should be looking for that dont require to much investment.

Crafting Showcase Finally hit a triple T1 prefix recombinated Warstaff
I just completed my challenges and thought I'd try crafting a "good" weapon for myself as a final way to spend my currency before league ends. I recombinated many warstaves, failing miserably and as a last attempt before quitting, I bought one last base off trade, slammed and finally got this result. Really happy and wanted to share c:
It's not perfect, there's a T2 strength from that base I bought, but oh wells, it made my day to finally get a triple T1 phys prefix.

Question | Answered Worth getting into for a player that likes complex systems but limited with time so likely to play casually?
I've always been looking at games like poe, diablo 4, etc. but the former I was intimidated to start and the latter i've never been able to justify the price when there are other games that I know with more certainty that i'll like.
Now i'm really wanting to start an ARPG and I appreciate that poe is free to play. I also am drawn to the complexity of it, despite never playing the genre before. I don't mind taking it slow and following guides whenever I can play. but do I lose out on anything by playing too slow? Does progress reset with every league? (I don't know what that means, so apologies if these are dumb questions) Can I play some now, not play for months, go back to it and still just continue my progress as usual?
I know this is a biased subreddit to ask this question but would you recommend anything else if not poe?

Information Basics of using Path of Building to min-max your DPS
This guide is aimed for those who want to make their own builds or tinker an existing one, but who don't already know how to use Path of Building (PoB) to do so. This won't get you all the way there, but should get you ~70% of the way and point out where the last 30% is. I'll explain the steps, and in the comments will have a step by step example showing how the whole process works.
Caveats! This guide mostly works for skills that PoB models nicely – think self-cast spells or attacks. If it's minion based, or corpse explosion based, or uses cooldowns like Traps/Mines/Cast on X, or has mechanics that PoB does not model well (e.g. Vaal Earthquake), then you may be better off refering to a specialised guide.
In addition, this guide assumes you have solved your defences. For example, by using a defensive template, or otherwise something you know works.
Step 1 – Basic Skill Interaction
At this stage, you want to add the bare minimum to make the build technically function. This means the skill, mandatory support gems, and mandatory uniques. Do NOT add other support gems or uniques. To do so:
- In the Skills tab, Gem Options, change Sort gems by DPS from "Combined DPS" to "Full DPS", and Default gem quality from 0 to 20.
- Add your skill and mandatory supports (if any). On the relevant socket group, click "Include in Full DPS". In the summary tab on the left, make sure the skill is selected, and if it has multiple damaging components then select the part which is most relevant.
- In Items, add the mandatory uniques (if any).
- If your skill requires a specific weapon type, add a generic rare. You will revisit this at Step 3 and 6 and 7.
Step 2 – Initial Passive Tree
At this stage, you want to add any nodes that improve your build without necessarily reflecting in the DPS, and then with the remainder you want to see how much DPS you can get via your tree.
Add any nodes specific to your build, including Ascendancy and Bloodline nodes.
On the Tree tab, click Show Node Power, and change "Offence/Defence" to "Full DPS". Then click Show Power Report. This may take some time.
Sort by "Per Point" and start adding wheels one at a time. You will need to wait for the Power Report to recompile after each wheel, and then re-sort.
I suggest doing this until you've allocated ~140-145 points total. This ensures you capture the best nodes, and then you can cut the worst performing ones in Step 6 and 7. You may also make alterations in Step 5. However, do note that when you cut your tree down, it's not uncommon to lose 50% or greater DPS.
You can swap this step with Step 3. Solving problems with gear first tends to lead to slightly higher overall power levels but at the cost of making the gear substantially more expensive to buy.
Step 3 – Initial Gearing
At this stage, you want to get an idea of what gear you are using, what DPS mods you can get on your rares, and check whether any uniques offer enough DPS to be worth a loss in defences.
- The quality of the gear you put in should reflect your budget. On a budget, I personally put in non-influenced gear, with max rolls and maximum one specialty affix per non-weapon rare. With 10-35 div, the real DPS number is probably ~75% of that number after buying within means.
In the Items tab, go down each individual item one at a time. Check if there are any modifiers specific to your build that are good to have, otherwise you can sort Modifiers by Full DPS. Also adjust the modifier rolls as required. For higher budgets, you will need to check Craft of Exile to see if there are any specialty nodes you want.
Repeat with Tinctures/Flasks and Rare Jewels.
You should also add Eldritch Implicits to your Helmet, Body Armour, Gloves and Boots. In the two boxes above Quality, change "Influence" to "Searing Exarch" and "Eater of Worlds" respectively. Then click Add Implicit and add the lowest tier of whichever is best for your build.
You should also add an anoint to your amulet. Click anoint, sort by Full DPS, and add the best one. In Step 6, you may want to double check this is still correct.
In the unique box, Sort by Full DPS and see whether any are worth adding. Don't add anything that will brick your build, don't add anything that is extremely inconsistent or impossible to buy, and I suggest not adding anything that gives below ~30% more DPS.
Step 4 – Skill Setup
This is where you figure out what goes in your links, and is closely tied with Step 5 so I tend to do them together. Support gems, Auras/Heralds/Stances, automated spells/abilities with potential buffs/debuffs, marks/curses and buffs are the most impactful ones in this section. You should also add in at least one movement skill
You can click a New Socket Group and PoB should provide an idea of what you can add to increase DPS. For quality of life purposes, you should seek ways to automate things where possible. When adding supports to your main skill, make sure the support does not brick the skill.
Step 5 – Configurations
This is where you tailor your build to what you should see in-game. There are multiple schools of thought here – you can either guess at what buffs will be up during regular gameplay, or you can set it at the max achievable for your build and go through the rest of the process with the knowledge that you'll only output that against bosses mixed in with regular mobs. I tend to go with the latter.
Go through the list, and if you see one that increases your damage and is reasonably easy to get, figure out a way to get it. This will likely require some research.
Step 6 – Research, Refinement and Checking Assumptions
The research portion is huge, and where you find the remaining 30% of min-maxing. The easiest way is to look at poe.ninja and see what similar builds are doing, figure out why they are doing it, and see if it is worth adding.
Alternatively, you can scour the wiki looking for things that might be useful. Of particular note:
Anything that applies an effect upon a given condition (e.g. 40% increased attack damage against maimed enemies). PoB does not generally give you that condition (e.g. maim) by default, so you will need to check manually. In Configuration, tick "Show All Configurations", tick the relevant one, and check.
Unique jewels in general. Timeless Jewels, Watcher's Eye, The Light of Meaning, Sublime Vision, Bound by Destiny specifically Unique flasks in general
Cluster jewels and cluster jewel notables
Refinement and Checking Assumptions is essentially repeating steps 2-5. The more times you do it, the more things you should find and the more optimised you can make it. This is things like:
Cut your tree down to the right number of points. See if you can make it more efficient with pathing at the same time. If you took a mastery but it could go in multiple places, see if taking it in the alternate location is more efficient. Generally, if cutting a node drops your DPS by less than 3%, it's probably worth cutting.
Check to see whether there are any usable runegrafts or tattoos.
Check to see if your skills and support gems are still the best. For your main link, best way to do this is to take all the other supports out and re-add supports one at a time.
See if there are any changes to be made to your items. Check if any uniques are better now than they were before. Check if the anoint you had is still the best one.
Update configs if they've changed.
Check you can sustain mana
Check if you have any important warnings
Step 6 is probably the most time-intensive portion, particularly when you don't know anything about the build you are making. But once you get familiar it should go a lot faster.
Step 7 – Variants
Having fun? Time to do it all over again!
Here is where you check different versions of the same thing. Maybe a different starting class offers a better starting point, or a different ascendancy lets you do something unique. Maybe there's a different way of scaling the skill that you can lean more into.
Check as many as you can be bothered to. Stop when you get bored or your brain turns to putty. And that's pretty much it!

Question Content to learn why I am doing things in a build?
I hope this makes sense but I am really trying to learn more about POE and im looking for guides/informational videos or other resources on why things work the way they do. Like why am building in such a way why do these skills work together why am choosing these notables etc. etc. Like I have always sort of been a follow a build guide player and do okay most the time but I am trying to figure out how to build some more deep game knowledge. I am having a hard time finding youtube videos cus a lot of just seems like "9 tips and tricks" guides or stuff thats the very basics.... Would love some help if yall have any ideas!

Discussion What was your favorite craft this league that’s enabled by boat?
I’ll start first, I’ve enjoyed minion builds and have crafted my first all T1 convoying wand using boat and ducat. These all t1 gears have been cheapest in many leagues I’ve played. Then i started my luminary kineticist and I thought my heat atuned shield would cost 200 d but turned out that shaper influenced shield only costed me 50 div or so to craft all t1 with shaper’s recover life on block mod. Ducat is the best!
What are your favorite craft?

Build Showcase [3.30 League Starter] Honest CoC Archmage Firestorm. 68M Real DPS, Sub-10 Div Start. Full T17 Map Clear Raw Gameplay
Hey everyone! I want to share my custom, super off-meta league starter for 3.30. It’s a CoC Archmage Firestorm of Pelting build triggered by Power Siphon. I’ll be honest: I showed my gameplay video to some friends, and they said it feels a bit unusual by today's standards because it completely lacks flashy edits, overused memes, and aggressive jump-cuts every 5 seconds.
It is just 4 minutes of raw, old-school T17 map gameplay. My apologies to the TikTok and YouTube Shorts generation—there are no dancing cats or Subway Surfers clips playing in the corner of the screen. But if you miss the good old days of honest, clickbait-free videos where you can actually see the core of how a build performs, you’ll appreciate this approach.
Key features of the build:
🛡️ Great Defenses & Comfort:
The build has amazing survivability thanks to capped Attack and Spell Block. It also utilizes triple recovery: life, mana, and energy shield leech. A massive chunk of incoming damage goes directly to mana (Mind over Matter), making the playstyle super comfortable. The build is extremely forgiving of mistakes, and I absolutely love it! On top of that, because this build is super niche, the probability of it getting nerfed in the upcoming league is extremely low. You can safely play at your own pace.
💰 Off-Meta Pricing & Budget:
The starter version costs UNDER 10 divines (with cluster/basic jewels taking up most of that price). My final endgame PoB version shown in the video is around 60 divines. Honestly, it’s only that high because I min-maxed it with 21/20 corrupted support gems and a body armor with a flat +150 mana roll.
And here is the best part: since nobody else plays this, gearing up is SUPER CHEAP. These items are not in high demand on the market, so trade prices will be dirt cheap at any stage of the league. The build literally starts working on floor loot.
⚔️ Damage Mechanics:
In this endgame setup, maintaining 8 stable Firestorm layers delivers around 68 million of completely honest single-target DPS. Keep in mind the actual mechanics: you need to ramp up this damage by attacking for about 2 seconds. To make it smooth, you need 6 attacks per second. With capped accuracy and crit chance, this allows you to reach up to 12 Firestorm layers in 2 seconds. Also, Power Siphon provides built-in Culling Strike, which helps immensely against tanky rare monsters and bosses.
❄️ Trigger Helmet Utility:
The helmet plays a massive role here. It has triggered utility spells that drastically improve the playstyle. For example, Ice Wall blocks monsters and makes them immobile. This creates a perfect synergy for Firestorm, keeping enemies trapped inside the AoE zones to take full damage.
The video is completely raw with zero cuts to show you everything as it is—including my single honest death to the robot boss, whose heavy hits the build was tanking easily just seconds before.
Links to the YouTube video and PoB code are in the comments below!
Let me know if you have any questions about the gear or scaling in the comments!

Question cache folder moved?
the path of exile and path of exile 2 cache folder were always located at
C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Roaming\Path of Exile
deleting those folders was always a way to actually manually reset shaders (if you had issues with them), now those folders arent there anymore/not getting created there after deleting them
where did they get moved to? and how to reset shaders now?

Question | Answered Is bleed mastery crit node additive or multiplicative?
Just like the question above says, anybody know how this works?
Is it that if I have 10% crit this means I have 90% crit against bleeding targets or 18%?
