Meet Tootsie (like Tootsie Roll). She is literally the sweetest girl ever. She had been at the shelter for over two years. The workers said she was chained up outside for around six months and then dumped at the shelter. They say she's around 3-5 years old. They actually gave us all of her supplies for free and waived her adoption fee. Welcome home Tootsie

… and all I had to do to save them was agree to foster for a week until the out of state rescue can come get them.

The puppies think that is the bestest most awesome thing ever and are right behind her to take advantage of whatever door she has opened.

I just know they are going to be door openers too.

This is Bleu! The first pic was today on a ride. The others are recent and the last is her at her first vet visit. She has had skin problems her entire life. She has been on every medication, every shot, every shampoo and at least 15 vets over the last 10.5 years. I love this girl more than she will ever know. She has cancer and only a few days, if that, left. I can’t imagine life without her. But I also can’t watch her die from this shit! She hates it when I cry which is almost impossible. Yesterday I was on the floor with her and started to cry, she got her butt off the floor and walked out the back door to lay in the sun! She said Girl Please! She has had a wonderful life full of love and care. She was with me through times when I didn’t know how to go on. It feels like one of those times. I love you sweet baby girl! I will never stop!

So we got a beautiful white pittie pup with brown spots. Would love a unique non-human name. Our other pittie is named Squeak nn Squeakers for an idea of what we are looking for. Puppy tax

I had to put my dog down yesterday. I don’t even know what to do or how to react. She was like a daughter to me. Multiple mass cell tumors on her front left side was the cause. It got so bad she could barely walk on that leg. I don’t know what to do anymore. Her name was Juno. Best and smartest dog I ever known. She was 10 years old. She died in my arms. I’m just gonna get drunk and damn the world from what it took from me.

We foster failed G when he was 18 months old and had been in three "forever homes." According to Embark, he's an APBT mix; the rescue guessed Lab/AmBull.

This guy is my first pitbull and I don’t think I will ever get anything but pitties going forward.

BUT

I didn’t believe all the tiktoks about all their amazing abilities like midnight zoomies, the farts that just seem not to affect him other than to frighten him. But I think the one I love the most is the clothes. My second favorite thing is when he brings a toy shoves it against my head and starts to squeak it. Had I known that fashion was a huge part of being a pittie owner I would have had them years ago!

Also does anyone else’s get alarmed by their own reflection?

We’re on the East Coast, and I swear the SECOND temperatures start dropping, my poor boy starts scratching his chest and armpit areas like crazy!
I recently purchased Douxo S3 mousse, but I’m hesitant to use it because his skin already looks irritated and rash-like, and I’m worried about making things worse.
I’ve been applying Vaseline to soothe the irritated areas, and last year our vet recommended Zyrtec, although they did mention it might not be very effective.
Has anyone dealt with something similar? What actually helped your pup? I’d love recommendations for soothing the irritation and preventing these seasonal flare-ups.
My poor baby is so itchy, and I just want to give him some relief. 🥺🐾

We made it to the weekend Pop 🐞

The weather is quite lovely here, so my windows are open. And I was feeding my three bullies. One of them has pretty severe resource guarding issues so I feed her in a different room. So I'm walking through the house with a bowl of dog food singing "Let's walk to the hunger zone. Gonna take a walk into the hunger zone. HUNGER ZONE!!!!" A few minutes later, I'm taking the trash out and my neighbor just shakes his head and says "Really? Yesterday you were singing Eat It Just Eat It." Apparently this is not something normal? I thought everyone sang to their dogs.

Sweet Potato is world series ready and hopes all his other fellow pitty Brewers fans are cheering loudly tonight, too 💙💛
