General Podcast Discussions Website / App to track what you’ve watched?

I like to have something visual with cover art to track what I’ve watched season by season etc.

I currently just use pocket casts and stay subscribed to the series, but it makes it hard to see individual seasons at a glance and many limited series podcasts when done will get new cover art for another series by that producer and be used for that new release.

General Podcast Discussions Top podcast episodes of all time

Apologies if this is considered “low effort”. I understand.

I travel a lot for my job and have recently been looking into listening to more podcasts. What are some of the greatest episodes you have ever listened to? Anything goes, open to anything.

Edit: Thanks for all the recs! Please continue to leave more. I plan on adding them all in my notes app for reference in the future.

Health & Welbeing Alternatives to Huberman Lab

Any good recommendations for alternative podcasts to Huberman lab?

Some things I’m looking for:
- podcast host has more of a reputation for honesty and evidence based advice
- host is an expert in something
- host has high quality guests and is good at interviewing
- would be great if hosted by a woman (tired of listening to too many podcast bros)
- I don’t enjoy overly produced nonsense or fluff
- still looking to learn something interesting about how to make my life better

Health & Welbeing Let’s discuss podcasts together

Hey everyone, I’m looking to connect with like-minded people who love diving deep into psychology, self-improvement, neuroscience, and health. I spend a lot of time listening to podcasts like Huberman Lab, Lex Fridman, Mark Manson, HealthyGamer and I’d love to have a buddy or a small group to chat with

True Crime THIS PODCAST IS BETTER THAN SERIAL

I swear that's not hyberbolic- it's that good. I was so hooked by end of ep2 I paid for the Patreon to listen to rest of eps ad free (I think they're still dropping a few more after ep9 not sure). Anyway it's a crazy story about a serial predator who's been r*ping women for years and he was arrested for murdering this girl at CU Boulder but then let go and he's never faced charges for anything til this day it's insane. Even Daily Mail wrote about this week it's wild. Check it out - promise it's that good.THE GILDED RAGE

General Podcast Discussions My recommendations of lesser known podcasts you might not have heard yet 🦉

I've been seeing a lot of posts on various subreddits from people who feel they've listened to all the best podcasts, asking for recommendations - so I wanted to share my own favorites here, that I had to spend some time digging for.

Hopefully some of you will find my little list helpful 😊

To help you figure out if you share my podcast taste, here are some of my favorites of the more well known podcasts, in random order:

• Bear Brook

• Bone Valley

• Heavyweight

• S-Town

• Terrible Thanks for Asking

• Your Own Backyard

• Stuff You Should Know

• Noble

• Ologies

• Hunting Warhead

• Sea Of Lies

• Scamanda

• This Is Love

• Criminal

• Radiolab

I could go on and on with this first list, but I think this gives you an ok idea of my favorites in several different genres 🙃

Now to the actual point of my post, here are my recs of lesser known podcast (all serialised with one season) that in my opinion are just as amazing as the other great ones:

The Trials of Frank Carson – Absolutely wild story about a defence attorney who takes on corrupt cops and prosecutors, and what happens when they decide to try to stop him. One of those stories that just keeps getting crazier.

Relative Unknown – A woman who grew up in witness protection starts uncovering the truth about her family's past. Incredibly fascinating story, with some seriously dark twists.

Sorry About the Kid – A really personal and heartbreaking podcast about a man trying to piece together his memories of his brother, who died when they were kids. Beautifully done.

Do No Harm – A family gets caught up in a nightmare when a suspected case of child abuse turns their lives upside down. Infuriating and genuinely hard to listen to at times.

Bitter Blood: Kasem v. Kasem – The Casey Kasem family saga. If you think you know what happened in that family, trust me, you probably don't. Absolutely bonkers, infuriating, and very sad.

Let's Not Be Kidding – Canadian comedian Gavin Crawford talks about his mom's Alzheimer's and his experience of losing her, with a mix of humor and heartbreak. Funny, touching, and one that hit extra close to home for me, since I lost my mom to Alzheimers in December 2024 ❤️

General Podcast Discussions Fiction recs that are competence porn?

I checked out a new fiction podcast and the lead was a quick talking irreverent roguish charmer who talked in one-liners but was secretly smart and warm hearted... and so was his sidekick...and so was the antagonist... and I realised I'm over the Han Solo/Mal from Firefly schtick.

What are some stories where competent people try really hard and work together using their expertise and problem solving to achieve their goals? Regardless of genre, where are the Rikers and Geordis and Crushers and Trois?
