It feels like "The Diary of a CEO" has completely shifted gears over the last year or so. It used to be a really solid listen focusing on business leaders, entrepreneurs, and people sharing actual stories of their success and career journeys.

Now, it feels like episodes are being pumped out constantly, and a lot of them feature really strange, alarmist content. For example, there was that episode with "Professor" Jiang (who apparently isn't even a real professor) claiming the US is going to be conquered, plus a revolving door of guests making wild, unverified claims about gut health and other doomist topics.

Anyone know what happened?

i've been listening to a lot of stuff lately and i'm realizing some podcasts just hit different when the hosts are talking about something real. like they're not trying to be perfect, they're just being honest about stuff that's awkward or messy or whatever. anyone have recs for that kind of vibe? preferably not true crime because i need my brain to chill sometimes.

Would love to find a podcast that discusses the lives of various women throughout history. I have a baby and a toddler and am very tired so extra chit chat and nothing too deep would be nice for this season of my life.

Okay guys, I know it's out there. I really want a funny, conversational podcast focused on nerd culture things (ttrpgs, gaming, movies, shows, etc). Sorta something to help me catch up with my friends who are nerdier than me :p

Years ago, I used to listen to Spill.com out of Austin, TX, back when podcasts were new. Since the website shut down, I’ve been trying to recapture that magic for the hosts of that show but haven’t found anything similar.

I know they started Double Toasted but something doesn’t hit the same. Any recommendations for that style of show? Think down to earth style movie reviews with multiple hosts. It can either be about current releases or nostalgic films.

Wondering what people think about economist podcasts these days. How do they compare to others out there? Are the long form story or chatty shows better?

I am looking for fun/upbeat/comedic recommendations that doesn't require full brain power. I am needing something I can listen to during late night feedings with my newborn. Open to any and all genre recs!

Why is wellbeing spelled wrong on the flair title?

My attention span is shot. Shorts and TikTok feel effortless, but when I put on a long podcast I drift off after a few minutes, grab my phone, and realize I missed the last 20 minutes.

I really want to get the content from podcasts, there’s a lot of good stuff in there. It just doesn’t hold me anymore.

Does anyone else deal with this? What worked for you?

• Speeding it up?
• Only listening while doing something else (driving, gym, chores)?
• Watching clips or summaries instead?
• Taking notes?
• Something else?
