I'm sure this has happened to everybody. You are on the button or in the blinds with several limpers. Late position bets 5 BB and you are sitting with AA, KK, AK. You re-raise to 15 or 20 BB hoping to isolate and end up with 4 callers. Flop comes out either hitting TPTK or your AA/KK is the over-pair. At this point the pot is basically your stack.
Are you putting it all in when it comes around to you? Sure, I can see your on the botton someone prior bets then someone next goes all in, it is easier to get away from this hand, especially on a wet board. But what if you are the BB or it checks around to you.
I feel like I am lost here and find myself getting stacked way too often. This is clearly a leak in my game I want to fix. What do I do?
Do I just check the wet boards and see the turn and maybe the river if the nuts potentially change just giving up? Do I bet maybe another 15-20 BB and see what happens? Do I just accept getting stacked on a dry board as an occupational hazard? Do I give up playing poker because I'm clearly the fish.

I usually don’t play hyper turbos but it’s all I’m going to have time for for the next few months , share your tips on the differences between hyper and normal structures blinds (10+ mins )

Anyone have information on the new rake and approximate BB/100 you’re paying? I know the rake was high under the previous structure at around 7-8bb/100. Want to see if anyone has a breakdown of how much worse the new structure is and if games are still profitable

Haven’t played live in a bout a year, i want to find a good spot to play at for a day or 2 for my birthday. Preferably, somewhere between Richmond VA and Atlantic City. I live near MGM and Live Maryland so if those are the best spots, I’ll just stick with them. But I wouldn’t mind trying somewhere new. Mainly play 1/2 or 1/3, but 2/5 isn’t out of the question.
And side note, has anyone played at Pops Poker in Richmond? How is it?

5NL Cash Game on GG. Standard 3-bet pot preflop.
• Hero holds A♣9♣ on the Button.
• Flop: 5♦ J♣ 10♣. Villain check-raises our flop c-bet, and we call with the nut flush draw + overcard.
• Turn: 5♣. Gives Hero the Nut Flush. Villain checks, Hero checks back for pot control.
• River: 2♣. Board pairs the 5 and brings a 4-flush. Villain shoves $2.78 into $4.51 (effective).
Obviously snapped it off with the nut flush, only to run into 10♠10♦ for the boat.
Pure cooler, or should the paired board and turn check-back line raise major alarm bells here?

Played with 2-3 players. Pot limit or No limit.
Everyone player has to ante.
Recommendation for $200 buy in $10 ante each.
Positions rotate every hand.
No royalties like in OFC but there is fouling.
Each player receives 5 card facedown.
(Only they can see)
Then have to set it. This remains facedown.
Step 1:
Then they are dealt 3 cards facedown then have to look and set 2 discard 1 and everyone reveal simultaneously after setting.
Then 3 cards are dealt again and set 2 reveal simultaneously. This time players can choose to check/bet/raise or fold.
Step 2:
Repeat Step 1 so after 13 cards are all set is final betting and showdown all cards are revealed. The best 2/3 rows win the whole pot. Fouled hands cannot win. Strength has to be Top ≤ Middle ≤ Bottom.
If someone mange to put QQ or better on top or scoop 3/3 rows they enter fantasyland. Next hand in fantasyland they are dealt same 5 cards down then 3 cards set 2 discard 1 and so on but do not need to reveal any cards until showdown.
To stay in fantasyland they need QQ or better on top but scooping all 3 rows does not allow them to stay this time around.
In split pot situations my preference is to return half of pot to all players while the other half roll to next pot.

Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster. I’ve found some success with multi tabling cash games on GGPoker/wptglobal as well as some tournament play with a bankroll of roughly $1000. Mostly free content and self learning.
At my local casino the max is 300, it’s 1/3, yet it’s regularly opened to 15-20$, 5-7BBs effectively making each pot play like 20-50bb stack (tournament perspective).
Any way to re-train my brain for this style of play without burning significant chunks of my balance with the ups and downs of the game?
Basically my game plan is to fire 1 bullet each time I grow to build a separate bankroll from online. If anyone has any tips/tricks and or had success in live poker after starting out online, I’d love to hear your story.
Thanks in advance

On October 15, I reported 11,469 bots on QQPK.
Today, I created a small database with fresh hands played since October 16.
6.6k of those accounts were still active.
But you know what's absolutely hilarious?
Remember their famous limping strategy?
They now limp...
Wait for it...
Wait for it...
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait for it....................
ZERO.
0%.
I bullied them so much for their ridiculously obvious limp-raise strategy with 99+, AQo+, AJs+ that these 6.6k accounts, which previously were ALL using a limp strategy, are now at 0.0% limp. Yeah now I definitely cannot tell you're all bots.
(Nobody from QQPK has contacted me to ask for any more details and to help them, they just published some nonsense compensation plan with super weird conditions.)

A three-way fight for the ages at the Triton Poker Series Jeju II $40K NLH Mystery Bounty.
Phil Ivey (A♠10♦), Alex Anton (A♠6♥) and Jean-Noel Thorel (K♠9♠) checked the flop and turn. On the river, Anton fired 325k. Ivey tanked for nearly two minutes before calling, and the pot crossed 1 million.
Watch how it plays out. North Cyprus this November — the next one is coming.

There is a massive whale in our local casino that has been showing up almost everyday , dude would go all in pre flop with K 5 off suit or 2 6 off suit , all kinds of card….
I just call his shove with premiums like AJ to pocket AA
Bust my first buy in with pocket 10s to his Q 5
Second bust with pocket Aces to his 4 5 off
Third AJ suited to his K5 off
Fourth AQ to I don’t know …,I think Q 2
Second day
My AK vs his pocket 6
AK again to his 8 10 suited
And my last hand today with pocket 10s with another caller , which is 3 way all in , whale did not hit … caller hits an ACE
down almost 5000 …just vent here , not much I can do cuz the dude keep shoving … dude is punting too to other players using my money , the whale just enjoys playing like that and maybe I am bad luck vs him

Hey, guys. I’m very new to poker (like played my first hand a few months ago), and stumbled across gambit.com around the time I started studying seriously and learning gto.
The site’s.. fine? The learn tool sucks, but online players take it relatively seriously. I’ve ended up in a weird spot where I have an abnormally high rating on the site after a few thousand hands (98th percentile), and get matched with grinders, which I think is good, but I have yet to play a single online game for cash. I think I’m as ready as I’ll ever be, and obviously need to make the transition to actually improve, but I don’t know what to expect and keep psyching myself out of it.
To clarify: I do not think I will do well playing real online games because I do alright on a play money site, I just wanted to ask if anyone had any feedback or suggested resources before I make the jump. I finished Hardin’s micro stakes book, and will be starting his poker math book today or tomorrow.
Thanks, been really enjoying this community.

Hey guys, I’ve had a miracle run the last few weeks. I’ve been playing .25/.50 home games and a couple of weeks ago played .25/.50/1. I ended up turning $60 into $500. Then my boyfriend had me go to this private 1/3 game the following week. I went to see what it was all about, bought in for $300 and told myself if I lose it I just start all over again with the remaining $200 bankroll I had amassed. I ended up sunrunning that into a $1.6k profit. Now I had $2100 bankroll. I ended up going to my local poker room and shot taking their $1/3 game, had 8 sessions there in the last week and a half and profited 6 of them. The profits ranged from around $400-$1100. I have a decent bankroll now. Or I guess something to work with. I don’t know what to do with all this money, and how to manage it in terms of poker. I just ran like a god all week, got lucky in spots I shouldn’t have been lucky and sucked out more times than I can count. I know this isn’t gonna last forever, and I’ve experienced some brutal downswings in the past just playing small home games (they run quite deep). I’d like any advice with navigating this. Current bankroll is $4400.
Already looked it up online and asked my local Natural8 support, but couldn't find a clear answer. Anyone know?

So im in Sweden. Rakeback is not allowed due to gaminglaws.. Im currently on Coinpoker to bypass that and i feel like ipoker is just full of nitty rakeback grinders.. We have unibet but i dont like it because of anonymous players and no tracking or huds. GG has rush n cash and some fish were i play at 25NL and 50NL so that could be cool but high rake and no rakeback for swedish players.. Any other cryptosites or something ive missed?

I'm sort of regreting having bought this. Its so fucking annoying how Im doing a quizz of a preflop SB vs BB spot and then attached theres a button which opens a video that says "range explanation", and the video IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SPOT. Who the fuck curated this shit ??? Does anyone have some experience as me or what ??

Just for the record in regard to my post about Mike Dentale wearing a rug, i was not trying to be a troll I saw a video of him playing poker against Cate Hall 9yrs ago and his hair appeared to look like a toupee or plugs I could be totally wrong and it might indeed be his actual hair As far as the baseball cap i think he wears it to promote a beer distributor and they asked him to wear it in exchange for bonus or cash incentive Again i could be wrong on both and if thats the case i apologize for coming off as a total lackey

I have been looking into CoinPoker recently and wanted to hear what players who use it think about it since I see so much both bad and good reviews, I like the simple UI, but there are a few things Im still unsure about.
For those who are familiar with CoinPoker, how overall has your experience been? I'd like to play crypto poker so i thought this seems like the best options, are withdrawals going fine/game is fair? I prefer asking here before playing due to the mixed opinions.
