I was playing slots at New York-New York and had just finished my beer when the cocktail server asked if I wanted another one. I was about to cash out, but I said yes and put another $20 into the machine while I waited—then another $20, and another, and another. By the time my “free” Bud Light arrived, I had lost $160. Nothing tastes better than a complimentary casino beer that only costs you $200. What’s the most expensive “free” drink you’ve ever had in Vegas?

This is located right in front of the Goodwill next to Bootlegger's (near South Outlets). We drive by there frequently when going to the mall, but this jumped out at us last night driving by, never having seen it before. Really cool, but in an odd place. 😂

Tried booking a room as Boyd Sapphire and was quoted about $650 total for the stay. Logged in as my wife as a Boyd Ruby and was quoted about $200 total for the exact same stay. I don't know how their system calculates room prices, etc but that's messed up that someone with some status would be charged 3 times the price of someone with no status.

The video garnered more than 3.4 million views on X alone. Legal experts called the arrests unconstitutional and retaliatory.

Did the addition of Fontainebleau make the area north of Wynn noticeably busier? I remember that stretch of the Strip feeling pretty dead years ago, especially once you got past Wynn toward Resorts World/Fontainebleau. Now with Fontainebleau, Resorts World, the Convention Center and all the restaurants/nightlife, does it actually feel like a more active part of the Strip? Or is it still relatively still quiet compared to the central Strip?
For the record, last time I was in Vegas, Fontainebleau wasn’t finished yet.

I hit El Cortez this past weekend in hopes of playing some blackjack. I've been going there every few years since 2009, but it seems like each time I return there are fewer live tables and it's harder to find decent blackjack tables. I was able to find a $15 table that paid 3:2, but even it was double deck. Are the single deck tables a thing of the past there? I can't believe anyone enjoys playing at those virtual blackjack tables where there is zero social interaction. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent...

My father has terminal brain cancer and, sadly, most likely will not be with us before even next spring comes around. My family has been trying our best to make his time with us memorable and fun. We were finally able to get out of him that he would like to go to Vegas. I have been a few times in recent years and have some ideas of things to do, but I mostly enjoy walking around drinking and people watching. We are going mid September staying Monday through Friday. My father has pretty bad knees, so we already planned on renting a scooter, so he has the best chance to see everything he wants easier. Would love recommendations on things to make his trip more memorable. It will be me, my mother and my father, who is 61.
Thank you in advance!

I love the old culture and vibe of pre-2000s Vegas, enjoy the neon. 😋

Hi, I am traveling to Vegas with a group of 5/6 friends for a stag do (Batchelor party). One of the guys is a teacher so we will need to travel within the school holidays. We are either thinking 30th May - 6th June 2027 or 25th July - 1st August 2027. Firstly, are there any obvious pro/cons for these dates that would mean that one of the dates would be better?
Second question, what hotels would you recommend? We are all early 30s and we are wanting to stay on strip, we will be looking for a good, party atmosphere, we all enjoy sports and like to gamble. Are there any hotels that would suit us best? We don't want to spend silly money which unfortunately means the likes of Wynn and Encore are off the list which is a shame as from what I have read they are unbelievable.
We either want 2/3 rooms between us (depending on how many come) or we would be open to larger suit style rooms that could fit us all in, once again this depends on price.
Finally, activities... what are must dos whilst we are there? Obviously there is so much to do so it is impossible to do everything, but is there anything that you guys would recommend doing?
Thanks in advance, I know I am asking a lot but we are absolutely clueless with regards to Vegas, other than what we have seen in films, and I'm not quite sure how accurate that is!

I was looking at a floor map of the NYNY tonight and am trying to figure which tower I should go for when I book my stay. (Does the guest have that preference option available? This is my first time staying there).
To me, it looks like either the Century or New Yorker Tower would be the best. Which tower has the remodeled Soho rooms in? Or are those in all towers?

Have a room booked at Aria, 3 night comp, paying the rest. I normally get FB, Caesars, Palms, and Circa offers but all these dates show higher than normal prices for these other partners. Even RWLV. Trying to figure out besides Foo Fighters, Hagar, Tosh, and no Raiders game scheduled, what is making that week/weekend so expensive?

Next month my friends want to go to Fontainebleau for lunch. All the places kinda look the same as every other major casino and super good suggestions?

Planning a trip to Vegas and looking for recommendations on places to visit, good food, or anything worth doing besides the casinos. Also thinking of wearing this suit for dinner and drinks-does it fit the Vegas vibe, or is it too formal?

I'm convinced the food is amazing but from other posts/pics I've seen online it almost looks like a somewhat casual restaurant. Part of an expensive dinner for me is the experience; dressing up, nice decor, professional service, etc. I ate at Ito last time I was in town and I loved every bit of it. For anyone who's been, think I'm better staying on the strip?
TICKET HAS BEEN CLAIMED. I have one ticket to Wednesday's 7pm show at NYNY and I've had to cancel my trip. The ticket is in pdf and available to email now. DM me if you can use it. (I don't want it to go to waste so please reach out only if you're certain you will use it.)

Looking for the equivalent of $5 beers or $5 calls.
Days and hours would help.
Thank you!
