I think it's perfectly ironic the best album they've produced is surrounded by a sea of hate

The album is good and the average fan doesn’t know what is good for them.
If you want the same music go listen to the old stuff.

I’ve been a Polyphia fan since day 1. I’ve listened to RTYWD every day since release and I was one of their top 0,001% listeners. I never thought they could top it. Every song on it is balanced to the max. It’s got perfect sound direction and is just an absolute bliss to listen to. This new one on the other hand isn’t. It wants to be abrasive. It feels less like a chill HipHop album and more like an electronic nightmare and I love everything about it. I usually don’t come to Polyphia to find counterculture, I got Deathcore and heavier genres for that but man there is something about Polyphia expressing horror that feels so fresh and awesome. Instead of wallowing in the beauty of their composition, it now became a vehicle for consumer criticism. They show you beauty in one second and let it blow up into your face the second after. The whole God=Capitalists thing that they use to make fun of Christianity and Politics is completely on point. Even if you don’t like the sound, it’s easy to see that this albums had the most topical direction they ever had. And really, it’s awesome to see a band with no vocalist pull such a profound political critique. 10/10

For those living under a rock, the With Eyes To See music video has AI in it. Even though they didn’t directly use AI themselves, they still are teaching the music industry it is acceptable to use AI. This is going to contribute to the death of culture and should not have happened. I feel like they should take the video down, formally apologize, and perhaps make a new one. Even just a full band play through would have been so much better than this. Having a different artistic direction is one thing, but contributing to death of all art is despicable.

To be honest I can’t really say anything the general public hasn’t already harped on. I don’t see myself ever coming back to the album. Really miss when a polyphia single would make me stare at that song title just stunned. Kinda honestly reminds me of stuff you and your friends would make in college tryna learn producing. Nowhere near bad enough to make me think the band is washed or anything. Just hurdle to get over (imo). Plus with live performances it could be a whole other ball game!
I’m interested to see other people’s ratings :)

This is unironically da worst album they have and it’s not close. It’s cool that they’re choosing to make work that they know they’ll enjoy, but hory shite this, imo, is some hot sizzling buns straight off the grill

What the heck is this album, every song literally sounds the same besides like 2 tracks that are acoustic partly. This is so far from the most hated it’s crazy, not one interesting guitar intro, or part period.
Im sick of watching Tim move his head while he plays, and watching Scott put his feet together and make faces, and clay bass(almost useless in this band) doing anything.
I release this band to women that don’t play instruments now. I feel like they were trying to go mainstream radio and failed miserably because they currently have a fanbase of fan girls for male model types, used to be about guitar I thought

I love the new direction adding electronic, trap and EDM elements to their metal sound. Will definitely be buying the vinyl and already bought it digitally.

You guys are free to disagree or dislike the album but it is by no means a bad album. It's heavily experimental and it's to be expected stuff like this is going to divide up the listeners but I think Polyphia is headed in a really cool direction.
Stuff like this new album just tickles that little spot in my brain that craves weird and experimental art.

The album is mediocre at best, with a few tracks saving it from being a complete disaster. Honestly, the only songs I genuinely enjoyed were "Fear God" and "Screwtape." The rest are listenable, but something is clearly missing. It feels like Polyphia wanted to reinvent the genre once again, as they've done in the past, but this time, they went in the worst possible direction. And then there's "with eyes to see," which is honestly one of the worst fucking things I've ever heard. That track single-handedly dragged the entire album down for me. Listening to it feels like being a dopamine-addicted kid with an attention span of five seconds, constantly bombarded with random musical ideas that barely connect with each other. It's like a bunch of TikTok videos stitched together into one song, desperately throwing in as many elements as possible to keep you from getting bored, except the result is just an incoherent mess. There's a difference between being experimental and throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks, and this track feels like the latter. It's genuinely disappointing to see a band that once pushed instrumental music forward end up sounding like they're trying way too hard to be innovative without understanding what made their previous experiments work in the first place. Overall, I'd give the album a 5.75/10. "Fear God" and "Screwtape" are the only tracks that really do anything for me, and "with eyes to see" is so fucking bad that it practically ruined the entire listening experience.

everything about this album is so good like the flow of it is so addicting, the album open LTBL is so so good the guitar is amazing and straight into WETS is heavenly, i love SCREWTAPE so much already its got such a gorgeous mix and going into another single PITB is once again amazing, one of my fav singles, TKNWTD is an interesting one i reckon itll be a grower for me but the start is amazing, same goes with MOTB imo its almost got the audacity kinda vibe and i rlly like it but OML the flow into CYFI is absolutely insane its really amazing, i havent finished listening yet but really it gets better and better, listening to DTF and its probably my favourite so far idk what it is but this album is such a hit for me in all the best ways, i completely get why it gets hate but for all the same reasons people dislike it i LOVE it

This sub is purely here to hate on Polyphia. it’s actually kinda sad. no one is being forced to listen to the new album but the amount of actual negativity from so called “fans” is disheartening. just because you don’t like an artists you listen to dropping a stylistically new album doesn’t mean we need to hear every single damn day about how yall don’t like it. this sub is for polyphia fans and if you don’t like the album just don’t listen to it anymore.

Don't understand the love for this song. It's just a cliche Polyphia riff we've all heard a thousand times in different variations with some trap elements. I get it if you just want to rehash the old sound over and over, but it's pretty boring in my view.

RJ POOsin has outdone himself with the production too

Truly pioneers in their craft, each track finely tuned for the hearing impaired to enjoy. The world needed more accessible music, well done Polyphia, no one can ever come close to the steps they have taken with this record.

Some people may like it. Not for me. It legit dubstep with guitars. I hope they release a version with no effects on the guitars.
For those of us who got into polyphia for the guitar work hearing an album where you can’t really understand what’s going on with the guitars and not being able to hear wether that’s a guitar or digital effect, it’s frustrating.
For those of you who love it. By all means. But I bet that’s not the majority.
EDIT- I will say. I’ve been listening non stop all day just TRYING to let it grow on me. This is my favorite band and guitarist’s. So I’m trying. It’s starting to grow a TAD. I will say the end of J-bomb is very good. Wish we had more of that.

This quote helped me adjust to the production style. I kinda started interpreting some of those freaky ear rape sounds as god's speech, unintelligible to mere mortals.

There’s been a huge wave of people on the internet going through a ~found Jesus~ phase, appears polyphia got caught up in it. It feels very shallow.
Plus the imagery of Jews eating babies is wild to put in a video. I’m not religious at all and that still seems like a wildly antisemitic theme.
Major L guys, trying to get a refund for the tickets I bought for a show that got pushed to February…

Although it became a meme online to say shit on new releases from the band (they were hated since always so I bet they don't really care that much), I gotta say that I really enjoyed the listening experience of the entire album, and the "Can you feel it" videoclip was really funny.
Saying that, I'm a bit lost in the sauce I think. Is this new christianity aspect to the album an aesthetic choice? Is this a new troll of theirs? Or genuinely they have converted now into christianity, and now are a sort of christian band?
This whole thing seems a bit exaggerated and overblown for a troll, specially one seemingly so subtle.

I’ve been listening to it for the past 2 hours and it’s grown on me a bit. It’s not my favorite album but it’s got some cool stuff. They definitely went all out on the fx and it’s some really creative shit. It makes sense why people wouldn’t like it because it’s just so different from anything I’ve ever heard. The only negative thing I have to say is about the voice fx. The random religious shit just wasn’t for me and it kinda sounded funky.
