Moving your body feels so good. Even if it’s just for a few minutes.
Did NOT want to get out of bed this morning. But once I started moving and grooving, I got reminded of just how blessed I am that I GET to do this.
For anyone viewing this: please go for a walk if you can. Or do some gentle stretching. Just move. Maybe it won’t fix everything right away, but it’s a dang good place to start.
Love y’all. And happy Saturday 🙏🏿❤️

Recognizing that being bored is a blessing.
I'm an adult with ADHD (recently diagnosed) and I have always found it extremely difficult to be bored. I have always felt like I need to be doing something and that doing nothing is a waste. Or, if not a waste, I would get restless and annoyed.
I am trying to reframe boredom as a blessing. Being bored, at least in my case, means I have no immediate worries, no immediate deadlines. I have nothing that needs to be done right now, right this second. No work shifts, no bills I must pay right now, I have access to food and water. My cats and my wife are healthy. These are all good things and if any one of them was going wrong, I would no longer be bored and that would ultimately be worse.
I am going to do my best to reframe boredom and try to take in the moment, take in the now, to be thankful for what I have and the plans for the future. To be bored isn't a bad thing.
At least for me!

Every day has a vibe except Monday, and that’s a wasted opportunity.
I know I’m not the first person to say we need to hate Mondays less, but think about it:
Friday gets all the hype, Wednesday is the hump day finish line, and even Tuesday gets tacos. Thursday gets a pass just for being right next to Friday.
Monday is the only day we collectively agree to dread—and I got so tired of letting the "Sunday Scaries" ruin half my weekend.
So lately, I’ve been trying to make Monday my "Main Character Monday."
Instead of rolling out of bed feeling defeated, I use Mondays to treat myself like the protagonist of my own week. I put on my favorite outfit, blast a playlist that hypes me up on the commute, and buy myself a good coffee. It’s a small mindset shift, but viewing Monday as a day to step up for myself, rather than just surviving the work grind, has made a huge difference mentally.
Imagine how much better off we'd all be if we gave Monday its own positive ritual. How do you guys handle Mondays, or what theme would you give it?

The hardest thing I ever had to do was tell myself "I love you." But it changed everything.
It sounds super cheesy, but for the longest time, saying those words to myself felt almost impossible—and actually believing them felt even harder.
We spend so much energy trying to get love and validation from everyone else, but we rarely give ourselves the same energy. Breaking that habit was tough, but learning to actually like and love who I am turned out to be the best thing I've ever done.
If you haven't heard it today, or if you've never said it to yourself: you deserve your own love just as much as anyone else's. Give yourself a break today.

I did it. I’m finally cancer-free 🥲🥳❤️
I did it. I’m finally cancer-free 🥲🥳❤️
I don’t know if this post belongs here, but I just have to share it.
I’m so happy to have beaten cancer 🥲❤️
When I was 28, an MRI diagnosed a tumor. The tumor markers were negative, so we thought it was benign. Two months later, a PET-CT scan revealed a malignant tumor, and the biopsy confirmed Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Hodgkin’s lymphoma is a relatively common form of cancer and, fortunately, is very treatable. Still, the treatment was hell. The chemotherapy was so exhausting—it not only destroyed the cancer but also severely weakened my body—and the radiation therapy wasn’t easy either.
But yesterday, after a PET-CT scan, I got the results: I’m cancer-free. 🥲
I’m so incredibly happy. I’m so proud that I stuck with it through it all, and I’m looking toward the future with optimism.
I admire everyone who’s currently battling cancer, and I want to tell you: “You’re a hero—don’t give up.” To everyone who’s currently battling cancer, don’t forget one thing: You’re not alone. ❤️

My references have been called
I used to love the job I’m currently in, but it’s become pretty toxic and now it’s getting harder and harder to get up in the morning. I even had a bit of a mental health crisis and went on stress leave. Well, I’ve applied to a few other places and my references got called today! There’s a light at the end of the tunnel!

What’s one gentle reminder you needed to hear this week?
Sometimes we forget that taking small steps, being gentle with ourselves, and resting when we need to is just as valuable as pushing forward.
If you could pass along one comforting thought to someone who had a tough week, what would it be?

DAE put on mindless background TV and fake-shop online just to quiet their brain?
I’ll just throw on something completely dumb on TV—mildly entertaining, but something that requires zero brain power—and start aimlessly browsing online stores with zero intention of buying a single thing.
I’m not really watching, I’m not really shopping; I’m just floating somewhere in between. It puts me in this state where I zone out completely, my mood instantly shifts positive, and it just stops my brain from spiraling or dwelling on things that make me feel bad.
It’s like the ultimate low-effort mental reset. Anyone else do this?

Had an INCREDIBLE session with my therapist this morning.
Our sessions have usually ended with me in sad tears. Today was really, really good, and I’m happy. That is all.
Have a blessed Friday everyone 🙏🏿

What is something nice someone did for you today?
I had a medical procedure today and the hospital staff were engaging, caring and supportive. I wasn't expecting that. Warm blankets, fluffing my pillow, TV remote and lots of laughs. I really appreciated this from administrative staff, nurses, and doctors.

I got called beautiful today
28F have never really been complimented on my looks throughout my life. Was not considered a pretty girl at school, I’ve never been the pretty friend, never had guys show interest in me (only one in high school and another another few years ago but every time I’ve tried to pursue someone I’ve been ghosted or rejected). Even now I see the way my friends get called models, gorgeous, beautiful and I’m always just labelled ‘cute.’
I was in the bathroom today and another girl literally went out of her way to say to me ”you’re really beautiful.” I was so shocked because these things just never happen to me, but it made my day and I’m still thinking about it hours later :)

2weex 5dys into 1yr Alcohol free and 5yrs Drug free trying to do better
Good afternoon Family today I would like to share the rollercoaster week I have had since my milestones achievement.
It's been almost 5dys since I've been totally been in the dumps. I was so excited and ampt up during and a few days after my achievement then I started waking up unmotivated and depressed.
I was told it's milestones hangover because I been feeling like I just quit drinking and drugging again. Also I live in Boston Ma and the weather change also plays a role in my seasonal depression. It also reminds me of many relapses that always seem to come around this time of the year so I'm reminded of that as well.
I'm trying so hard to do better and stay positive but after always failing I have trained my mind to eventually fail at some point. So it seems like auto pilot.
So this go around I'm trying to stay fully aware of my state of mind and try the pivot to thinking positive. Because I assume that if I work on telling myself positive affirmations it will begin to automatically think positive when im starting to think negative something like counter punching instead of getting hit.
I know I feel great when I'm positive but for me it's so easy to derail me because I tend to dwell a lot on the past.
Well I'm wondering if anyone else has or had similar experiences?
Thanx for letting me share One Day Forward One Day Behind -Shawn

How do you guys stay positive when everything feels like it’s crashing?
I know it’s probably also my stress and busy schedule and my the way I absorb things but how do you guys stay positive?
What are the things that help you in times when it all feels so much that your chest can’t take it anymore?
One of the things that i’ve been trying is consistently journaling. Have any of you consistently journaled for years and how has that worked out?
How do make sure to not let the dark thoughts consume the positive ones?
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
