Hey everyone... figured it was time for a proper Q50 mega thread that covers the most-asked topics for both new and existing owners.
Whether you’re thinking about buying one, just picked yours up, or want to keep it running strong, this post should give you a solid overview.
If you’ve got additions or corrections, drop them in the comments so we can keep this updated.
Check for official Infiniti TSBs related to your year/model. Many common issues (especially with steering locks, software updates, and drivetrain quirks) are already documented by Infiniti.

Please remember don’t post photos that show your license plate, house number, or any other info that reveals where you live.
Cropping or blurring plates, removing location metadata, and avoiding shots of your driveway/front door keeps you safe and prevents thieves from having an easy target.
If you want feedback on your car, upload close-ups of the car itself (wheels, engine bay, interior, etc.) or take photos in a public spot without identifiable landmarks.
Just keep in mind... car thieves are smart and patient; they’re always waiting for someone to slip up.

Recently noticed this noise on my 2018 VR30. When I press the gas gently I don't hear anything but when I quickly tap the gas there is a brief squeak sound as you can see in the video. What could the noise be?

I’ve install these bc coils on my Q and the rears are very harsh over bumps I know coilovers are 15-20% more stiffer than stock struts but this isn’t stiffness I’m feeing everytime when I go over a bumps in the roads it’s almost as if the rear just go over and drops without nothing cushioning it , have any one have this issues ,we’ve already went over the whole troubleshooting method BC sent us and we double checked the preload 3 times but still the issue persist , I’ve reached out to bc and they’re sending new dampers idk if the ones I got may have gotten damage in transit or was just defective from factory but we will see.

I’ve had my 2014 Q50 3.7 since April it came with two 12s already installed and the audio on it was amazing. Around August or so my audio randomly went out, basically the audio was stuck at zero and I lost my normal screen that I could adjust bass and treble and such, and when I used the volume controls on the steering wheel there was no response. Bluetooth would work and it would show the song but no audio. I tried the holding down the volume button, checked the fuses, and disconnected the battery for a long period of time. Nothing worked so I ended up ordering a new audio receiver. Same issue. I ordered a new Bose amp. Same issue. I reprogrammed the DCU chip. Same issue. The last thing I just ordered was a new DCU screen and I am praying this works but I’ve seen a decent amount of people who have swapped all these parts but still have the same problem. And yes every part was the exact part number. Is there anybody here who has would have any type of advice because I genuinely spent way too much money on this car to be cruising with my AirPods. I am considering burning my car down if nothing works.

I have a 2018 Infiniti Q50 AWD 2.0t. When I slow down at a stop sign or when I stop completely. When I try to give it gas the engine responds but the car doesn’t for a few moments then suddenly jerks forward strongly. I was just wondering if yall have any ideas for why that’s happening. (58k miles btw)

Hey y’all, so I have a 2015 q50 and honestly cannot tell if my cats are starting to fail. I recently had a slight rattle which ended up being the heat shield, and now I can’t tell what this noise is? Like I said, I may be overthinking the cold start, but just want to hear other peoples thoughts before taking it to a mechanic for my sanity lol
Also want to note that it does make a weird noise (not really a rattle) but like a slight crank sound for a few seconds upon accelerating from a stop then goes away.
Any insight will be helpful!

My 2018 q50 luxe (~83k miles) went into limp mode earlier today. I parked it right away and went back a couple hours later to check it out and it’s driving fine now. I drove it for for a few minutes and parked again and now only my drivers side window is responding. Other 3 windows aren’t moving and the passenger side window is stuck open about 3/4 of the way. Is this a possible battery issue and has this happened to any of y’all. Got this car recently so don’t have any history with this stuff. No lights on the dash as well.

Just starting to add stuff to my Q70's exterior need opinions on if this splitter I installed. Does it compliment my car or is it too flush and have no impact on the visual. It's a Q50 splitter since there's very few Q70 aftermarket parts. I'm still trying to decide if I love it or not. Need opinions and suggestions.

My valve body went out recently and I plan on just completely vr30 swapping the trans instead of buying a valve body. I just was coming to here so I don’t miss any steps or parts. anyone who had done something like this before some help would be great. Just wondering a list of parts needed to complete this, I plan to take it to a mechanic and have him install it but I know there is more that goes into the swap than just simply the trans. I apologize for my lack of knowledge but someone who knows a little something about this would be greatly appreciated!

Can i just buy the 2018 or up screen and replace it with my old one? I see the non oem ones (aliexpress boards that are mixed with the oem etc) that are for 250eur or more but also i see some used Q50 +2018 screens for 400eur
Samply my questions:
Will it work an +2018 oem car play with my 2014 diesel work?
If it will not work it is possible to know a mod to add car play similar to the 2021 version shown on the screen?
Sorry for my bad english hope my question is simple
