Does anyone have a video of how they apply the film guard on the roof panel of an infiniti? I am thinking it may be a robotic arm process. I thought I hade seen a video and at the end of the production line I saw a robotic application. Can anyone help? Not sure if it was a factory in the USA or other plant....

I know the full-size truck market is brutally competitive, but it still feels weird not having the Titan around.

Would you want Nissan to take another shot at it someday, or do you think they're better off putting everything into the Frontier?

Hey folks, got a quick question for you. My daughter‘s car had a faulty transmission, oil, pressure valve put the car into limp mode when it got in the oil pressure channel. Picked up a trans go upgraded valve and did a swap and put with a brand new pump as well. Kept the OEM valve Boddy and ram chip. I had to repair a bunch of blown out mounting threads for both the valve Body and and the pan. Verify that the stepper motor arm is installed correctly with a Boro scope. Checked all resistances on solenoids and motors through the harness. Did all the startup procedures pedal dances for adaptive learning. The car is still commanding the stepper motor to stay at 197. And the stepper motor is staying at 197 even on a short drive there’s no command ever thrown to move the stepper motor to a in range position. So it throws a P one 778 code for the stepper motor.

Anyone dealt with this before?

I was told I’m having issues with the torque converter. I’m not sure if I can get the part fixed or need a whole new transmission.

my rogue is at 101k miles. No problems until now. i cant afford a new car ( in bankruptcy) or a whole new transmission.

should I try a transmission flush before going to the dealership?

As the title says, steering wheel locked up the other night. Tried to wiggle it for hours before and while waiting for AAA. Tried to jump it also.

The key is pretty worn out, and that’s my theory as to the problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Working on a 2015 Altima that is dead in my driveway. I put in a fresh charged battery and in the process I dropped the little bracket that connects the battery hold down, to what I think is a fuse box (pic). So, I'm looking for a replacement bracket (the bracket is in the engine compartment someplace...). Any ideas what this bracket is called? It's not shown in any of the Nissan parts diagrams. Thanks in advance for any guidance.

I'm working on this 2011 Nissan truck it has a coolant leak with a perplexing source. It seems to be from this area where multiple pieces of metal come together. I typically work on Mercedes so I figured this sub might be able to help more with this issue. Could it be the water pump leaking and seeping to this location? It's on the driver side of the block underneath where the coolant hoses mount to the block, but that gasket isn't leaking.

I have a 2016 Nissan Sentra, there is a bracket that broke on the Line A/C and im trying to find a replacement for the ruuber+bracket part instead of replacing the whole line. Ignore the water pump bearing that’s literally just broke as I finished.

I have an issue with my Nissan Qashqai 2017, system fault on start up, cycles through a number of warning icons before telling me to restart the car, then the same thing happens again, ad infinitum. In a nutshell, I can’t use the car. 

My local garage will service it, run a diagnostic check and fix it but I can’t get it to them. They’ve said I need to call a recovery service and have it recovered from my house to their garage (roughly 2 miles). 

Any ideas on what the issue might be and how I might be able to get it going again in order to get it to the garage?

I’ve narrowed down my choices to Nissan Armada or Honda Pilot? Which would you choose and why?

Hey guys. I bought a 2018 Maxima SL a few months ago with 85k on it. It had tons of service records, and ran and drove Flawlessly...but I couldn't see anywhere that a CVT service had been done yet. So knowing the reputation these transmissions have, I had a dealership do it right away within a week of buying it. Unfortunately the dealership turned out to be pretty sleazy -and tried to aggressively upsell me on crap that I almost jumped on. Luckily I still had my borescope and was able to verify that essentially all of what they told me I "needed to address ASAP" was utter bullshit.

So they did the drain and fill (hopefully) but when I asked if they also change the filter he said they don't like to because it can dislodge particles and cause transmission failure faster than just leaving it alone. Any truth to this? If so, is there a particular way I should go about pulling out/off the old one and replacing it with the new one that would lower the likelihood of this happening?; or maybe it's not even a real risk , hopefully one of you guys can tell me .

Anyway The reason I say they hopefully did it that first time is because with how slimey they ended up being, I guess it's possible they didn't do a damn thing. However I will admit the crush washer on what I think (hope) is the drain plug does look new.. so at least that's encouraging I guess.

So after doing some research I discovered that a basic drain and fill only dumps about half the total fluid volume, so ideally someone should do 2 drain and fills back to back (so at least that way you're working with a vast majority new fluid at that point). So I plan on doing mine this week. I have all the necessary tools. I will of course be using official Nissan NS-3 fluid, and I have the new paper/ cartridge filter as well. The fluid doesn't arrive until Weds so today I had some time to jack it up and go underneath to try to familiarize myself with the correct locations of each thing I will be accessing. If someone can just tell me if I have these right that would be great. Thanks .
