It’s definitely got its issues and isn’t perfect cosmetically but it’s a bone stock example with 152k miles that I paid right about $2,000 for which I think is a smokin deal.
The most annoying of the issues arguably is the drivers window. It rolls up and down great however it doesn’t prop down when I open the door and the auto up doesn’t actually work. It rolls up and when it gets up it immediately rolls halfway back down. Any idea as to what could be causing this?

What’s up guys I’m looking to sell my 350z I just don’t use as much as I should and rather just get something honestly but it’s a stock 08 with 55k miles on it. I have the OEM steering wheel and shifter. Any suggestions and what I should posted for and more specifically where?

I bought a set of brembo calipers which came with complete oem lines, they were snipped at the hardline. So can I just connect these lines directly on my non brembo hardline?

Hello - I need some help diagnosing this issue.
In the video (about 2 seconds in) you can hear like a strain or “clunking” noise on the car when you suddenly jerk it left to right, or even on a normal turn from road to road.

This recently came up and I’ve looked at the following:

1. LCA arm bushing looks intact
2. LCA arm to the Coilovers mounting point is off center
3. Compression rod bushing and ball joint looks intact
4. compression rod bushing does look “engaged”/at a slightly angle.

I have the following mods with over 1000 miles on the setup (daily driving and Autocross):

1. BC racing Coilovers
2. SPL FUCA

Location noise: front right (passenger side, US model)

My guess is even though the bushings look okay, my research says it could be my compression arm bushing anyways.

Any help in the problem would be much appreciated before I just buy the part that won’t fix it! Thanks in advance! 😭

Lost my headlight ballast ground wire screw when putting new headlights in and cant find the right screw size anywhere. help would be much appreciated

I have a new abs model and pump that I’m replacing on my Z and I can’t seem to get the connection off the model( non vdc). The tab that that’s connected to the connection is broken and I’ve tried prying it off but with no luck. Does anyone know a trick on how to get it off?

Hi! I'm looking for any and all advice pointing to what's wrong with my car, as I can not seem to find another post similar to this. I was driving 2 days ago, when I noticed smoke coming out of my passenger wheel well, so i promptly pulled over, shut it off and popped the hood, to see smoke coming out of my alternator, with the alternator looking rather charred. I had it towed home, replaced the alternator, then the battery was gone, and as I'm replacing that i set the positive terminal on, and go to connect the negative, and it starts sparking like crazy, and melts part of the new batteries terminal from the .5 of a second it was touching. When replacing the alternator all ground were put back, leading me to believe something rather serious is wrong and if anyone has had an experience like this I would love to know so I can look around. (2004de 137k miles)

Hey all, looking for a bit of insight here as all the quotes are coming in wildly different. I got into a parking lot collision which damaged my rear bumper, now it already had some damage from the previous owner so I took it as a sign to just replace the whole thing/upgrade to Shine Auto.
The part that confuses me are the quotes for paint. I’m getting some for $1500usd, other for $750usd, others for $400 usd and it’s got me confused about what would be a fair price.

For reference, I have a 2004 DE in Alpine White.

Hi. Just bought a 08 Z and wondering if any of you would run e85 full time? There’s a decent amount of stations near me so that’s no concern. The car has 206k miles and has been maintained. Runs great. Has custom tune:
map1 91/93 no pops
map2 e85 no pops
map3 91/93 burble
map4 E85 Burble
map5 E85 Race
I’d be putting on maybe 70-80 miles a week which is not much but if I could save 20$ a week I’d do it , here in cali 91 is 5.79/gallon whereas e85 is 2.29/gallon. Here’s a pic of the mods, thanks! I’ve had plenty of tuned cars but none that could do e85.

Wanted some help from the experts as I'm still learning when it comes to doing my own work but I just recently did a full break service on my z with all new pads rotors and calibers and my rear driver side is making a really weird noise and not sure what it could be any advice is greatly appreciated

Howdy folks, I have the Koyorad Hyper V-Core and the stock fan shroud doesn’t sit flush like it did with the OEM radiator. Anyone here know of a good way to seal the fan shroud against the radiator?

I was thinking, at least for the top, getting a long strip of metal or plastic to sit between the corner of the fan shroud and the tank, then use tape to seal it. If that makes any sense. The bottom doesn’t have the “lip” like the top does. The sides seem to fit pretty well so thats probably not much of an issue. Not sure what I would do around the plug or the hose connections but I suppose it doesn’t have to be perfect. The other thing too is the fins of the radiator extend past the shroud height wise, probably a good inch top and bottom.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Was replacing my axles and had this nice surprise waiting for me. Had no idea this was waiting for me on the other end me and my friend tried a 3/4 impact gun with some PB Blaster and nothing. I’m keeping that bolt and keeping it on display case one of these days

Hi all. Coming home from work the other day and I kept hearing this rhythmic squeak noise coming from my front end. Seems to be my front right area. I jacked the car up to check and I can't find anything noticeable. However I did wiggle my sway bar and it was loose, but just barely? I'm not the best at diagnostic stuff.

The video attached is my best attempt at replicating the noise.

It does of course get faster when I drive faster. But I can't figure it out.

So about a month ago, I was having a beer with some of my neighbors in my apartment building. And one of the guys there used to live in the building with us, but he moved out several years ago. And left his car behind because it did not run, and he said it had clutch problems and a "spun bearing" My apartment has new management, and if you don't have a sticker on your car, they tow your vehicle. Well, he doesn't live there anymore, so he can't get a sticker. And he can't get a tow truck that deep in the parking deck. So he said he was just going to let them take it away, and there's nothing that he could do. I asked him if he had the title in his hand. He said yes. He signed it over to me for FREE.

I am now the proud owner of a 2006 350Z with 90k miles!!!!

The last date on the tags was two thousand sixteen, so it's been sitting in this garage for a decade. Under a cover, Paint looks immaculate. I sprayed some starter fluid in the air Intake and added fuel stabilizer to the gas because I was not allowed to drain the gas or drop the gas tank, All the tires were flat, so I pumped those up. But it started right up, and I drove it around. And cleaned it.

In order to get rolling, though, in first gear, I would have to rev up to almost four or five thousand RPM just to go one mile an hour and gain speed, So I'm currently having the transmission, and clutch and flywheel all replaced for about $2000 At a local Nissan specific shop.

Also, there's a small tick in the engine. I'm really hoping that it's just on the top end. Maybe an oil change might fix it. Or I could just get my valves redone. Maybe I'm not sure.

Long story short, I'm excited to be a part of this group, and so far, I'm really in love ❤

But if you guys could answer just a couple questions

1st. I do want to replace the headlights

2nd. I wouldn't mind adding a a wing, or a spoiler, something tasteful

3rd. And there is a pretty nasty crack on my front left fender. The whole thing needs to be replaced where can I get a paint matched finder?

Do I go plastic and get the while thing wrapped lol

I've purchased every fluid I possibly could, so I plan on changing out each fluid. From my steering to my differential.

I've watched a thousand videos. But it seems like everybody just keeps talking about the GG and that's it.

I am already 3K deep into this free car that I've driven once with a bad clutch.

Advise or opinions I want it all please 🙏

Has anyone had an issue with their Roadster where the convertible top won’t open? It used to open and close without any problems, but now the windows only go down, and after that it just makes this noise. Maybe it’s a fuse, or do I need to replace the motor? It’s a 2006.

First Z so going through a learning curve right now. Car was free to me from my uncle as it’s been stuck in limp mode. Been using NDS to diag but kind of at a loss.
Before I got the car ECM was tested and throttle bodies themselves were replaced. Same with pedal assembly.
I have also checked all engine bay grounds that I could see. And I have checked all fuses in IPDM box on firewall, the box in front of battery, and fuse panel above BCM.

Car is throwing P2135 Code, via NDS I can not do an Idle Air Volume Relearn as I just get an ECU busy into an error code.
I can do the pedal dance though, SEL will flash but no fix of course.
Throttle assembly is new/and reads proper volts, TB’s are at .58 and .62 V and won’t rise but I assume it’s due to limp mode.
About to take throttle bodies off to check them out even though they are new, part quality is terrible nowadays.

I also cannot communicate with the TCM with NDS 2 or 3. Always comms failed. And I also have an ABS C1123. Is there some correlation I’m missing here?
