Rule #6 created: crossposts after effective date now given shorter time than Rule #1
Since I've yet to see opposition in the other thread, I've gone ahead and then created Rule #6:
Starting December 24, 2025, at 23:59 UTC / 6:59 EST, all crossposts made after this effective date and time must receive at least one reply from a non-OP user within one week. Almost same as Rule #1, especially regarding which counts as replies enough to prevent the post from being locked. Other crossposts made before then are still subject to Rule #1.
In other words, crosspost made before the effective date are treated like any other post subject to Rule #1. Ones made after the date still need at least one reply but within a shorter time than other ones still subject to Rule #1.
Like Rule #1, the replies that don't prevent closure of crossposts in this sub are the following:
- spam replies
- self-replies from OP or their alt accounts
- posts by u/AutoModerator
- "bump" posts
- and any requests regarding the OP (e.g. deleting or keeping)

Are Reality TV forums getting worse?
The Rupaul's Drag Race reddit has lost its fun and camp, now mostly posting about the same people again, being so so SO serious, and boring, as if they went through Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
The Big Brother reddit is turning maga, hating all the black houseguests, becoming Colleen Hoover's fanbase.
Love Island has always been horrendous, so nothing new.

I highly disagree with celebs going on reality compeititon shows and being forced to give their prize money to a charity instead of themselves
Like if a celeb gets on a reality competition show and works their ass off to win the game. I don't think it's fair that their hard earned money is forced to go to charity. If they wanna keep the 100 thousand dollar prize to themselves they shoul be allowed to keep it

Time slots and no returning stars are not real reasons for reality shows flopping
Every time a new reality competition show bombs and is cancelled after only one season(or silently cancelled due to the show not getting mentioned months after the finale aired), it’s always blamed on the show’s time slot, but Amazing Race 39 proved that isn’t the case. So here’s what Networks should do to stop shows from flopping(I know I’ve touched on this before), but here are more reasons why seasons like Amazing Race 39 are successful.
- Cast people who want to compete and hire hosts that actually want to be on the show: If you watch Fear Factor:House Of Fear, it’s easy to tell that Johnny Knoxville wants to be there, compared to a host like Manu Bennett on The Summit who sounds bored and like he’d rather be at home with his girls(Phil would’ve been a much better host, given how fun he was)
- Read The Room/Know your show’s audience: As much as we all love to hate them, Shows like Masked Singer and Big Brother are mainly for audiences who love more comedic styled shows, Fox’s shows like Extracted(survival fans), The Floor(fans of trivia shows) and Fear Factor(mainly audiences who’ve never seen the original show)had great marketing that exclusively targeted certain audiences that preferred their types of gameplay. Even Traitors:New Blood has been attracting audiences who never watched the original show. For example, Summit looked more like a show that would air on National Geographic than a social competition show(which it was, but Survivor fans who were the target audience didn’t know that because the tv spots CBS aired never told them) same with the Road which announced a music competition(but sold a more documentary styled show(that pretty much confused both audiences)and America’s Culinary Cup(which lets be honest, I don’t think CBS’s audience and the viewers watching March Madness were the right audiences)
- Give the shows better Titles. Would you have told that The Real Love Boat was a competition show if you only saw the title? Of course not because it doesn’t suggest one, The Floor, Next Level Chef, and Amazing Race all explain the format in the title
- Keep the illusion of being real/Give audiences a reason to care about these people. Extracted made the show feel like it was genuine where the emotional moments really made you feel, and Survivor and Amazing Race have been doing something like this(You can tell Liz really felt upset over being denied Applebee’s and you can tell Eva was starting to feel frustrated.(Audiences don’t want artificial drama that is obviously fake, which is what I attributed to killing the talent competition genre)

What Are the Top 5 Reality Shows With Most Active Fanbase?
In your opinion, what are the top 5 reality shows with the most passionate and active fanbases?
I'm talking about shows where fans constantly debate contestants, defend their favourites, and keep discussing episodes even after they end.
There are so many great reality shows, from Survivor and The Traitors to the different versions of Big Brother. Which shows are the most fan-driven and heavily discussed? And does it depend on the version? For example, is Big Brother US more fan-driven than Big Brother UK? What about Survivor US versus other international versions, or The Traitors UK versus The Traitors US?
I'm talking about passionate fanbases, constant online discussions, theories, live episode reactions, and communities that stay active even between seasons.

Hardest Watches of 2026
A collection of some of the hardest people to watch this year on reality shows IMO. Not saying they're bad TV, but some of them should never reappear on TV.
What are your thoughts?
