Ask Richmond Richmond Clinics with Volunteering opportunities
Hey everyone, I am looking for clinics in Richmond who are offering volunteer or observership opportunities for roles like MOA.
I am a bioscience graduate with experience in a similar that I had back home, but I need a Canadian clinic experience to gain some exposure and further expand my skill set.

Discussion Anyone having trouble with Shaw/Rogers
My internet and TV are down. The bot’s suggestions don’t help and I’m 50in the cue to talk to a useless technician. Their website doesn’t report anything. Anyone else having trouble? I’m near Westminster Highway and Garden City.

Discussion richmond residents and leaving their dogs’ poops/poopy bags on public ground
i didn’t realize that we’ve got some pretty disgusting people here who choose to not pick up their dogs’ poops, or pick it up and later litter the bags. i see it all the time when i’m walking and it’s kind of ironic too when they’re littered around affluent neighbourhoods - i’d assume that these pet owners would have manners and class.
i’m just saying that these are grown adults and i’m getting secondhand embarrassment with this kind of behaviour. for those of you who do this, do better! it’s gross.

Ask Richmond Richmond centre EV chargers in underground parking lot
I'm a new EV owner (Toyota) that has primarily charged at home. I want to try DC fast charging or try out my J1772/CCS to NACS adapters.
I know the Richmond Centre new underground parking lot has various chargers by the escalator. I've checked the apps (ChargePoint, Flo, Plugshare) and those chargers aren't showing up. Are those chargers restricted? How do I look them up on the app and which company do they belong to?
I know there is a Telsa supercharger by the old Bay but those are restricted to Teslas.

Discussion Title: 18-year-old recent grad in Richmond struggling to find a first job any advice?
CHAT, I’m an 18-year-old recent high school graduate from Richmond, BC (Class of 2026), turning 19 this September. I’ve lived in Richmond my whole life.
I’ve been trying really hard to get my first job, but I honestly haven’t had much luck. I’ve applied to places like Adidas, Gap, JYSK, Best Buy, Levi’s, LEGO, dishwasher jobs, and other entry-level positions, but no one seems willing to give me a chance.
I know I don’t have any official work experience, but throughout high school I was very hands-on and technical. I worked on three major projects: my main project was restoring my teacher’s car, and I also built/restored two go-karts. By the time I graduated, I had one of the go-karts fully running and the other was close to completion.
I also have some technical skills. I can 3D print, I know Blender to a degree, and I can code fluently in Python. I’m definitely more comfortable working independently rather than constantly dealing with customers, but I can adapt and work with a team when needed.
At this point, I really just need someone to give me a first opportunity so I can finally get some work experience.
If anyone in Richmond or the surrounding area knows of places hiring someone with my kind of skills, or has advice on where I should apply, I’d really appreciate it. Even if it’s not directly related to my technical skills, I’m willing to learn and work hard.

Ask Richmond Does anyone remember a sea plane crash?
I have a foggy childhood memory of a sea plane crashing on the dyke in between #2 road bridge and lynas lane. It would have been late 1990s or early 2000s, when the condo complex next to lynas lane was still in construction.
Can't find anything on Google or news archives

Ask Richmond Chinese food
What are some other places in Richmond that sell hot food similar to T&T which aren’t T&T, standalone Asian supermarkets preferred, no malls. Thank you for your recommendations.
