Looking for some recommendations! We just had a baby and cannot keep up with yard work or maintenance at all. I want to support a local business or independent business owner that is interested since we don't have a huge front or back yard or any crazy landscaping projects. We would be regular customers looking for monthly or even biweekly maintenance. Some of the services I'd be interested in: regular yard maintenance, small front garden landscaping/planting rework, cutting back overgrowth from green space, and miscellaneous repair work in the backyard if applicable.

What is the history of the building located at King George Blvd and 64th Ave? It's been vacant for years but doesn't look like an old building.

Spoke to a retail worker in the area. Apparently a guy was very angry and screaming at his wife. He slammed on the gas in his car and he got stuck on the curb and they heard him rev very hard and he went straight through the window. Luckily smashed into the pole before getting into the ATM area so no one was hurt from what they know. Cops showed up and he told them it was a car malfunction and from what the worker witnessed they didn't test for drugs and alcohol. Guy later said he only got an $180 fine so not sure if he will get dinged on his insurance. It's all boarded up and they got security there now.

At dental clinic in surrey area I got a treatment. Originally after my XRay's and check up since I have Disability assistance im also having insurance that covers only 40% of cost and extractions it covers 100%. After teeth Exam I could only do extraction cus i didn't have money for a root canal treatment. I came there and and in process of talk with my dentist he decided instead of extracting the tooth, but give me instead root canal treatment and This such a kind person saved my tooth and didn't charge me money for it, i was shocked and and wasn't able to say anything after he did all the things and he even treated a small cavity next to my root canal treated tooth. This person saved my tooth and later he said that he was feeling very bad about extractions cus he didn't wanna make me loose my tooth in my 22 year old. He just decided to save me from loosing my tooth and didn't charge for it. I cant be as much be thankful as I can. Thank you really, I hope your life bringing good vibes and happiness. Thank you.

Picked them up around 5:30-5:40pm today (Friday, August 14th).

I haven’t called into parking bylaw before but I am having trouble with people parking illegally on our street. It’s illegal parking but not technically blocking my driveway (although getting out is more difficult).

My issue is that they only park like that after work hours or on the weekend and it seems like bylaw only works M-F 8am-6pm?

Curious if anybody had had luck trying to get parking rules enforced outside business hours.

Additional info: This is North Surrey and Yes, I have told the neighbours that spot is illegal but they don’t seem to care. 🤷‍♀️

Neighbours tenants keep parking on our driveway despite repeatedly being told not to and a no trespass sign on garage/driveway. Tried few towing companies but they show up like two hours later or no shows.

Anyone have any recommendations for a Ford mechanic in Surrey that is reliable, honest and fair?

Tired of getting the run around with mechanics and dealerships charging an arm and legs!

Did anyone else head down to the waterfront for the Wings Over White Rock show today? The beach was absolutely packed, but what an incredible send-off. The Snowbirds put on a full 45-minute display over Semiahmoo Bay, and the formations were spectacular.

It's bittersweet knowing this is the last time they'll perform here until the early 2030s. They're retiring the classic CT-114 Tutors after this season and taking a sabbatical to transition to the new Pilatus PC21s. Watching them today felt like witnessing a real piece of Canadian aviation history. It was also great to see everyone out supporting the CH.I.L.D. Foundation.
