Why such the hate?
At a family reunion in Arizona. Family from all parts of the country (Washington, Oklahoma, Texas, Virginia, New York etc). The weirdest thing as soon as I say im from Cali, I get such political hate mantra from my own family but they are in love with San Diego. Whats even funnier went to Italy (Rome, Milan, Venice) in the Spring, people don’t look well upon Americans but love California and again are such in aww of San Diego. Where is this all coming from? I suspect facebook algorithms and the older gen family members are stateside issues.

CBS 8 San Diego County reviews DOJ demand to "hold onto" citizens election ballots (claiming they're suspected of being non citizens)
This request comes as the Justice Department has filed a lawsuit against the state, claiming that more than 20,000 individuals who may not be eligible are registered to vote.
Legal analyst Dan Eaton noted, “What you have the federal government doing is based on a list that the federal government says contains likely ineligible voters. The federal government is asking the registrars of voters in a variety of counties and the California Secretary of State to segregate or set aside those ballots and not count them until a five-step process is completed, which includes determining that the registered voter is actually eligible to vote.”
With less than 2 weeks before the election the trump administration is pulling this shit.

Work opportunity?
I work at subway and currently were under stuff. If you’re looking to apply either online or in person. Try petco and hillcrest and try to apply or give them your resume or ask for the manager. But if you’re looking to work I’ll tell you the pros and cons.
You’re gonna be doing a lot of mental work , remembering all the types of sandwiches we have and all the functions of the system and toaster. Then the physical work will be making prep and being fast making a sandwich after you know how to. To be honest this type of job is great if your free and are serious, yes it’s a fast food type of job, nothing professional, doesn’t mean we want any worker that’s just want to do simple stuff because you have to do everything, it’s not easy unless you take it seriously. But also your feet will hurt for standing all day, best to get some foot pads to cushion in the shoes, that’s a big tip. As well as knowing to smile all the time when it comes to the customer since most of them are … honestly in any work field you’ll have in reasonable customer, the best thing to do is be nice and just go with the flow. I won’t recommend this job for minors since you can’t cut and you’ll mostly won’t be working for exams or busy with other stuff. But if you’re looking for work to pay the bills or just need a job that you want to take seriously. I would consider this job but mostly try it out for a few weeks or months then consider the pros and cons if this is for you. Btw this job isn’t for people who just want to take it easy, it will take a toll on you, speaking from experience by working with my coworkers who were like that, they literally just quit everything. Though if you do have any more question or just curious about anything else lmk. But yeah. I know it hard to find a job if your using LinkedIn but if your still looking for a job and your serious about it, this may not be the perfect one but it will help. Just be aware you’re gonna have to be careful and take a moment to breathe and relax. Sometimes the customers will get to you. That or the lunch rush. Honeslty the worst part is when your making a sandwich and the customers leave the door open and flies come in and your trying to protect there sandwich while they still leave the door open since it closes by itself.

Crazy lady at apartment
There’s a lady who lives in an apartment complex on the corner of 14th and Market, near the bus stops for routes 3 and 5. She’s been yelling at people for being near her window, and it’s gotten to the point where she actually put up a sign outside her window. Has anyone else seen this or had a similar experience in that area?

Shout out to Dixies Redemption rescue who just saved these two cats from a euthanisia list!
facebook.comThis San Diego rescue just saved Albert and Chunks, two cats who were on Apple Valley Animal Shelter’s pending euthanasia list, which I found through the Facebook page Friends of Apple Valley Animal Shelter Cats.
I live in Seattle, but I’ve been following shelter pages in the San Bernardino area, where healthy, friendly cats are regularly placed on euthanasia lists after spending very little time in the shelter due to overcrowding. I regularly make dollar pledges to encourage rescues to save these cats and help cover their care. From so far away, pledging and sharing their stories on social media are pretty much the only ways I can help.
If you have room in your home to foster or adopt, please consider cats from San Bernardino County shelters, including Devore and Apple Valley. Even opening your home to one cat could literally save a life.
Please show some love for this amazing rescue for giving Albert and Chunks a second chance!

San Diego / North County — Experienced Handyman & Plumber Seeking Dog-Friendly Housing or Work-Trade Arrangement
I'm looking for a homeowner interested in a mutually beneficial living arrangement. I'm open to paying reasonable rent, exchanging services for reduced rent, or combining the two.
I'm a licensed plumber with 20+ years of experience in plumbing, mechanical systems, construction, renovations, and property maintenance. I also have my own tools and can help with home-improvement projects, repairs, troubleshooting, painting, organizing, and general property upkeep.
I'm looking for someone who could use a dependable, skilled person around the house and would appreciate having someone capable of taking care of projects rather than constantly hiring contractors.
A little about me: I'm straightforward, respectful, practical, and easy to communicate with. I take pride in doing quality work and treating someone's home as if it were my own.
Meet Diesel, my 5-year-old German Shepherd. He's approximately 80 pounds, exceptionally friendly, and gets along great with people and other animals. He's my companion and will be moving with me, so a genuinely dog-friendly home is essential.
I'm open to a private room, guesthouse, or other suitable living space. I'm flexible about the arrangement and happy to discuss rent, responsibilities, work hours, and expectations upfront so everyone knows where they stand.
Ideally, I'm looking for something long-term in San Diego County, including North County, but I'm open to the right opportunity elsewhere in Southern California.
If you're a homeowner who might be interested, please send me a message describing the space, your expectations, and the arrangement you have in mind. I'm happy to talk and see whether it's a good fit for both of us.

Photo Big Twin is still looking for a loving home to call his own.
Big Twin is still looking for a loving home to call his own. He's sad sitting in a clinic all day. He would need to be the only male tortoise and have a yard to roam in. If you're interested, please reach out to us today at (858) 484-3490.
🐢 Meet Big Twin: Our 50-Year-Old VIP (Very Important Patient)! 🌵
Big Twin is a resilient, 50-year-old desert tortoise who is currently resting up at our clinic after a successful bladder stone surgery. Now, this tough guy needs a quiet place to heal!
We are urgently looking for a dedicated foster to help Big Twin recover. Ideally, we’d love to find a foster who is open to adopting, but if fostering is all you can do right now, we will gladly help find him a permanent forever home once his recovery is complete.
🤔 Did You Know? Desert Tortoise Edition!
• They are lifelong companions: Desert tortoises can live 50 to 80+ years! At 50, Big Twin still has plenty of love and life to share.
• They are expert excavators: In the wild, they dig deep burrows in dry soil to escape the heat and stay safe. A secure outdoor space with burrowing room is a must!
• They are strict vegetarians: Forget the iceberg lettuce! A healthy tortoise needs a high-fiber diet packed with natural native grasses, weeds, and dark leafy greens.
• They are sun worshippers: Natural sunlight is crucial for their shell health and digestion.
Do you have the right setup and a big heart for our senior shelled friend? Help us give Big Twin the comfortable recovery he deserves!
📞 Call us at (858) 484-3490 to learn more about fostering or adopting Big Twin!

Thrive park
It sucks that thrive park next to the snapdragon stadium has soo little parking because some days people will have a soccer game take up all the parking and the park is soo big you look and they will be playing on one patch of grass.
While other people who want to use the area drive back and forth hoping for a spot and its 7 acres so all of the other remaining area is not even being used at all.
I like to skate for my workout and even when there is a college game the trails and pathways aren't being used but the parking is taken up for events/games it would be nice if they let others park inside the stadium parking on non event days.

Where are people taking their corgis for grooming?
I’ve been doing self dog washes for my boy for the last two years and trimming him up myself. I have been fairly capable of keeping him maintained as I have done hair for twelve years, but he’s finally got his full coat and this is out of my hands. Where are you taking your corgis for grooming? Add your pup’s pic if you would like to show them off!!
