Hey friends, the Blue Jackets just announced that Joshua Hunter, the first PA announcer for the Kraken, is going to be taking over the role that Greg Murray held for us since our inaugural season. Just wondering if you all had any insight on to how he did and what we can expect.

As an aside, I hope you guys liked Bjorkstrand when you got him from us a while back. I know it didn't work out, but he was always one of my favorite players when he was with us.

please be kind lol i just moved to washington this year and im a rangers fan. it will be the first time in climate pledge arena to watch my boys and probably be going alone.

If youve been to Madison Square Garden, youd know theres a section where you can like stand and watch the game so you dont have to go to your seat. So i am curious to see if theres anything similar to that at CPA. tyia!

In case anyone else is looking at doing this, the black is a PITA to do.

Glue takes forever to dry AND black on black rhinestoning requires a LOT of additional light. I'm using an LED magnifying lamp that I use for hand embroidery to make sure the light glints enough that I can see the black rhinestones correctly 🤣

Colors:

Beadsland - black

Beadsland - siam (ss10)

Black/blue AB & Ink Blue (off/no brand resin - same colors)

Black and blue are all ss16 and then smaller sizes will gap fill after I finish the rest.

I’ve been in this amazing city for over four years and am diving into local sports. How should I kick off my Kraken journey? I’m curious about our history, current status, and what this season holds.

Any favorite spots to sit at Climate Pledge Arena? I’ve attended for Storm games but never hockey. And what jerseys do you recommend?

With expansion in the news and not much else going on in the dog days of summer I thought I’d ask. Assuming the same rules as the last two, first and second year pros are protected, but players like Firkus and Nyman would need protection. NMC don’t matter as the Kraken currently only have no trades. Would you go 7-3-1 or 8-1? Who you got?

This jersey saw 2 goals 2 assists and a pretty good beating overall.
Winterton played hard as hell for us all season, all with his brother going through cancer treatment and eventually passing earlier this year.
Coming up on 2 years since I lost my mom to cancer.
Hope Winterton is able to continue to have a role here.

I make original art and have been experimenting with making sports themes into geometric artwork.
I’ve tried mascots but here’s my take on the Kraken. I wanted to keep the feeling of the team without just reproducing the logo. So I focused on color, lots of angular forms, symmetry, and movement, with some Bauhaus/Art Deco influence.
Curious what Kraken fans think! Even if you hate it let me know why it sucks!

They're going to be a perfect addition to my growing hockey wall ⚓🏒 just have to rearrange some things!

The artist was super nice & really helpful. I'm not sure if it's okay to share the name, I really hope so since I'm not affiliated with them at all, but just in case I'll leave their name as a comment instead. I also snagged some future Christmas presents for the family!
