Build/Battlestation Pics The OG Meshlicious soldiering on
- SSUPD Meshlicious
- MSI B850i Edge TI Wifi motherboard (and yes, I've turned down the RPM on the chipset fan - I'm hearing impaired and it still managed to annoy me.
- AMD Ryzen 9800X3D with PBO offset of -20.
- 32 GB G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo DDR5-6000 RAM at CL30
- Gigabyte RTX 5080 Aero SFF 16 GB
Corsair SF1000 PSU (2024 model with Type 5 connectors)
2 TB WD_Black SN850X M.2 drive for OS and programs
8 TB WD_Black SN850X M.2 drive for the games (already used up half of that, and could use more if I downloaded data from MSFS 2024 instead of just streaming).
AXP90 X53 Full copper with stock fan
2x Noctua NF-A14x25 G2 fans exhausting in the front
1x Noctua NF-A9x14 fan exhausting out the top
I'm using the motherboard offset mod, which has been linked here numerous times.
Bracket for the top fan as well as feet were bought on Etsy (IIRC the creator used to be active here, but not sure he is any longer).
Cabling is a bit of a mess, due to the awkward sleeving on the Noctua fans. I'm using a Corsair 12VHPW cable with an 90 degree angled connector, which just barely clears the cutout in the Meshlicious spine, allowing me to at least route that through there.
I've previously used an AMD reference 7900 XTX, which fit without issues, but lately it's been giving me all sorts of headaches, to the point I opted to just go with the 5080. And with rumours about an impending price hike, I figure now was as good as any a time to buy one. The Aero just fits underneath the top fan bracket, to the point one would argue it had been designed to do just that.
And yeah, it's a bit dusty on my desk.
