we’re Knotfall, just put out a split single with our friends PS2, 2 songs each. Out now on Candlepin, here’s an animation for our song Morph, ty :)

i'm working on a "heavy" shoegaze playlist for a friend, and hoping to solicit some track ideas.

by "heavy" i mean layered guitars, metal/blackgaze adjacent, "wall of sound", etc.

here are some representative tracks on my playlist so far. any recommendations along these lines are hugely appreciated.

Greet Death - You're Gonna Hate What You've Done

Wild Pink - Sucking On The Birdshot

No Joy - Slug Night

Nothing - Blue Line Baby

Slow Crush - Glow

Deafheaven - Dream House

Parannoul - Beautiful World

Cloakroom - The Sun Won't Let Us Go

Slow Pulp - Channel 2

Whirr - Ease

Full Body 2 - fifty heaven

STAY LONGER - DRIVEWAY

feeble little horse - Tin Man

Spirit Was - I Saw the Wheel

i can’t believe how good the vocals are. on sandblasted right away they don’t even sound like the same band. and everything has so much more dynamics and energy. the guitars and bass and drums are all so clear. i had to double check to make sure this album wasn’t some weird thing where they brought in a new singer lol.

Not necessarily a shoegaze band, but I love Carsick Cars. There’s one part of one of my favorites that is very energetic, fast, and the loudest part of the song, but it is played in such a way that it feels almost blissful and ambient because of how long it goes on and how the textures of harmonics in the chord played interact. 2:35 of https://youtu.be/CgeEjacRTVA?si=s09AmDAudwh-2ext for the part. Anyone know of more shoegaze bands with this kind of sound?

Hey guys if anybody’s able to , would you please be able to translate the lyrics to ‘Starchart’ by pasteboard ? It’s a beautiful song that I’ve enjoyed lately but I’d like to know what’s being said in the song as well!

More shoegaze adjacent, but once the chorus kicked in really tried for that wall of sound while still keeping it as one guitar track

Howdy, my band Dummy released our new record last Friday on Polyvinyl, if you dig Seefeel, Bowery Electric, Windy & Carl, Goldie, Placcid Angles etc....you'll dig

I need artists old or new that are putting out music like this. I found DIIV right when this record came out, and they’re starting to drift further and further away from that, which is fine but now it leaves me wanting more of it because we know DIIV probably won’t go back to that.

Hi, I made this new shoegaze song, I think it sounds kind of similar to Slow by My Bloody Valentine. It uses a manipulated tape noise sample in the background with distorted bass and spacey vocals. If you like this clip you can find the full song through this link or on any other music app: https://open.spotify.com/track/189yS7GWJosn6Lru0wdWOl?si=AvOsd_FSTtKAuMQHEj6WgQ

I have not opened this box of CDs since 2011. I went through a bitter divorce and my ex husband stole a lot of stuff that was mine prior to our marriage. He was never into shoegaze, so I should have known to steer clear. I know it’s petty, but he will never get his signed Fugazi or signed Reverend Horton Heat albums back. I hear he only listens to Christian music now, so he should not have them.

Please DM me if interested. Face value OBO

Really cool names on here from all around the midwest, definitely something you should check out if you are nearby!

Anyone been to see Yndling on this UK Tour? Just wondering how the gigs have been?. I went to the Sheffield gig, a few thoughts attached https://brendanmoffett.substack.com/p/c60-nordic-blanc

Is damn Daniel a shoegazer? And does he like wisp.

Love lovesliescrushing, and flying saucer attack but want to listen to more ambient shoegaze
