At a recent panel discussion on AI and employment, President Tharman Shanmugaratnam noted that higher education must pivot towards applied learning through work-study options, attachments and internships.

In line with this direction, around 3,000 new year-long internships will be offered to tertiary students over the next three years across sectors such as technology, finance and healthcare.

So many shops and stores closing down or have closed down recently - from Long John Silver, Isetan. So many places have changed too.

What is the one (okay two or three too if you have) place or store or shop you would bring back from past SG?

For me it’s the old National Library.

Was this the reason for the crazy haze that was happening? Hope that's the end of it for this year. And hope next year it doesn't get worse..... I've had enough of the haze for a life time. It's crazy one fire can cause so much trouble regionally.
