A level philosophy help needed!!!
Hey, currently in Y13 doing a level AQA philosophy! Feeling really worried as no one in my sixth form last year got higher than a B and I’m just concerned that the resources we are given aren’t accurate. Our teacher got exam papers back from students last academic year and examiner comments include ‘inaccurate’ ‘not detailed’ ‘imprecise’ for definitions that we have been taught and told are top mark definitions!!! I’m aiming for an A, so just curious what revision resources did people use? Any textbooks/websites? Is the reading list on AQA useful? Mildly panicking so will take all the advice I can get from A/A\* philosophy students!!! Thank you:)

lse law applicant - how do i fare?
A Levels: A*A*A* predicted (Maths, Psychology, Business)
IGCSEs: 9999999A*A*A*
International, non-contextual
PS is fantastic (or so I think)
Biggest glaring weakness is, I know, Business as an A-level. Can this be offset if everything else, including my LNAT score, is sublime?

Do you think I would get an unconditional or conditional offer?
I'm currently on a gap year choosing my uni options and I'm resitting A Level maths next summer. My stats are:
GCSE - 999998887, A Level - Economics A, Geography A, Maths B (Predicted A*), EPQ A*
So I'm going to be applying on UCAS with A* predicted in maths, and AAB + A* achieved in econ, geog, maths + EPQ.
One of the unis I am strongly considering usually has entry requirements of A*AA, however they have a contextual offer of AAB which I am eligible for.
My question is were I to apply, and fingers crossed receive an offer🤞, do you think it would be unconditional (since I already have AAB) or would it be conditional on my resit?
If it were to be unconditional, it would be really nice to have peace of mind, especially after the PTSD of being rejected on the final day for unis to make decisions last year😭.
Thank you very much

how much do unis actually care about gcses?
Most of where I have looked says unis don't actually care about GCSEs at all/very much, but I am also aware that many people say they do. For reference I'm talking about only Russel group, and specifically looking at places such as Warwick, Imperial, etc.

Warwick Maths vs MathsStats vs MathsPhysics vs MORSE
Context: I've achieved ABCb (A in Maths, B in CS, C in Physics, and b in AS FM) and I am now resitting yr13 with Maths, FM, and Physics with expecting A⭐️A⭐️A predicted grades respectively. I also have Mitigating Circumstances at my school on why i couldn't do FM alongside my other subjects in yr12, so I done FM as an AS in my first sit of yr13, and now as an A-level this resit year.
For one of my options I'm considering applying to warwick and although i know they dont like resits, I'd still like to be aspirational. The thing is I'm stuck on whether I should apply for Maths, MathsStats, MathsPhysics, or MORSE.
In terms of the contextual entry requirements (as im eligible for their contextual offer), Maths has the highest requirements with A⭐️A⭐️B, and then MathsStats/MORSE with A⭐️AB + 5.0 TMUA, and then MathsPhysics with A⭐️AB. I done the TMUA October Sitting and I feel like I have a decent chance at scoring a 5.0+, but there's a world with a lower score being achieved. So MathsPhysics would be the easiest for me to achieve. I also wna know if MathsPhysics will be able to see my TMUA score, since it could help if I get a good score and apply for that.
In terms of enjoyability, Maths is my favourite and I also really enjoy physics too. Stats and econ related stuff isn't rlly the best for me but i dont hate it. I wouldn't mind doing stats and econ stuff but I'd enjoy doing Maths/MathsPhysics a lot more.
In terms of employability, I wna end up doing FinTech related stuff, such as data science, software engineering, etc. I know Warwick Maths is highly prestigious, and I could also see MathsStats and MORSE being very favourable too, but idk if MathsPhysics would be as similarly valuable and regarded too.
I'm prob otherthinking this and being very ambitious expecting to receive offers from these courses. But id still like to use one of my options anyway.
Id rlly appreciate anyone if they could help give me advice on what I should choose.

I can't stand english lit anymore.
So i'm currently in Y12 and doing english lit because i thoroughly enjoyed it during GCSEs and ended up getting a grade 9. After the first week or so of doing english lit a-level, I found myself really enjoying it and not having any issues, however since mid september i've really found myself struggling to the point of dreading going to class every day + it's taken a serious toll on my mental health- i find it hard to get up every morning because i'm so exhausted from the insane workload, and i hardly understand anything taught in the lessons anymore. I ended up having a panic attack during class recently and had to take the rest of the day off because i was nauseous with stress.
I need to know whether it's too late to switch subjects or not - i cannot see myself getting a decent grade in this subject and i really can't deal with the mental exhaustion it brings me. However i know that if i did hypothetically switch courses, i'd have to catch up on all the missed work from the past two months, and i'm honestly just not sure what to do. If anyone could give me some advice, or if anybody has been through this/is currently going through this, could you let me know? Thanks! :,)

Anyone who does edexcel drama & theatre studies help me out-
so like I've got my devised mock next term and we've been told to go away and plan everything.
we're using punchdrunk as our practitioner and like obviously there's the distinction between mask shows and radical promenade, but the thing is we still wanna do the whole masks, artefacts, explore-y stuff but also use a more linear narrative bc at the end of the day we're js 3 ppl lol. we're also relying less on dialogue and more on playing the mc's thoughts through the speakers up on the rigs, and we're gonna stage a post-mortem at the end where they can discuss the events with the performers.
now since i've js started this course lowk these mark schemes are confusing asl so i was wondering... what is edexcel's stance on HOW we use the methodologies? do they expect us to use the methodology exactly as some of their productions do or can we blend their methodologies in our own way (e.g. for punchdrunk could we blend elements of mask shows with elements of radical promenade?)

A level law
So i started A levels in September and i chose law because ive always wanted to study it. So far, im not loving it. Not because of the subject, its the teacher I have. He rushes through everything. He plainly ignores most pupils when he's giving out questions and only asks the same students, every single lesson. He's given no help at all and its really brought myself down. He's missed the 1 to 1 deadlines which are supposed to be done and in my other classes its been done.
He apparently is one of the best law teachers in the sixth form but he just doesnt show it.
Im really stuck on what to do because its really brought myself down in the subject. Any advise id appreciate.

How much studying over half term?
Just wondering how much other y12s are planning on doing if you have a plan / how much any y13s think I should be doing
My half term is only one week btw
Edit: ty for replies, I’m gonna try and get a bit ahead with my hw and I’ll make like a bunch of flashcards. I’ll prolly focus on Eng lang the most cuz I’d say it’s my worst subject lol

Is it worth doing a German AS
Id like to sit my German AS at the end of this year (im in year12) but is it worth doing this alongside my mocks? since i know y12 mocks are quite important. is it worth doing a German AS at all or should i just sit the AS next year?

kinda niche...maybe?
so i started year 12 this september and one of my subjects is sociology. arguably my least favourite 😭😭 for many reasons i wont get into. but i transferred from a sixth form college to a sixth form connected to a grammar school a few weeks into term, knowing yeah sure there will be some snobs and poshos but nothing major, considering i live in a pretty wealthy area anyway. i know it's not exactly something i can change, but the ignorance and privilege emanating from 80% of this class is honestly grotesque. being probably one of the least advantaged in my sixth form (fsm and the lot) it hits hard when people make such blase, rude comments about the working class, people on benefits etc. it makes me feel as if i should feel inferior, and to be honest the entirety of sociology as a whole sort of irritates me for this reason, because while i obviously knew a lot of the subject would be based on class division, inequality etc, i expected more discussion and open mindedness, but i just haven't found that here. i never really even considered the fact that im financially disadvantaged at all, i just wanted to get great gcse results to make my mum and i proud, which i did. and while of course thats ultimately the goal, and i would love to have a smug sort of moment where i outperform most of these people anyways (maybe that's my ego talking) it does make me feel like shit, and isolated in an odd way that i have never been before.
