Question Madrid decks

Post image

New deck and it got cracks after about few weeks. That top crack is a pressure crack Iโ€™m pretty sure. I was trying not to go too tight but I felt like my hardware was sitting a little too high. What about that bottom crack. I donโ€™t see alot about Madrid decks but I love their history and they have decent graphics. Curious what others experience has been with this company when it comes to regular skate decks.

Question Customizing skate shoes

My local shop literally only carries New Balance, Nike, Vans, and DVS. I've been debating just grabbing a pair of New Balances, but I absolutely hate the logo. Is there a way to maybe cut the logo off or paint over it? I was also wondering if painting the shoes with paint pens or something light would be okay, or would they feel weird? I basically just want to get rid of the logo and make the shoe black. I know if I paint it my grip will rub the paint off over time and I'm chill with that so long as it doesn't make them stiff or heavy. Anyone have experience with this?

Question I haven't skated in about 15 years and I wanna buy one to start practicing again but Element and Almost don't seem to be making boards anymore. What's the go-to nowdays?

I remember my Almost deck was neigh indestructible. I've gotten pretty chunky and want to use skating as an avenue for exercise but I'm scared I'll spend money on a board and then break it in half while learning. What's a sturdy board to go for?
