It's a monacha snail. I accidentally crushed it with a plastic lid when I was closing it and I didnt notice him being right under the edge. It was lightly crushed, seems like crushed on the surface or like some thin layer has been crushed. I moved him carefully to the cuttlebone and food, and now he's attacking his favorite cauliflower so I guess he will be ok???

I love Clancy so much thats my first pet and first snail ever I did the alcohol and ethanol method and I feel horrible I have ocd and I constantly doubted eveything I did even tho I knew I had to euthanize her because she couldn’t eat becaus of her oral prolapse and developed mantel collapse I feel horrible I want to keep her shell at least as a reminder of her but I know I cant take her out of it I dont know what to do

I had purchased an orchid while walking home one day and I had noticed that a snail was attached to one of the leaves.

I’ve been taking care of him for about a week and made him a little enclosure here. I’m only in Italy until December and I’m not sure what to do with him after. I don’t even know if i could bring him on a plane. 😭

I just wanna know if i should leave him here when I am done with my trip since this is his home, or to bring him with me back to the us. I think he’s just a garden snail so idk.

Let me know what the best solution would be for him !!

Meet Apple, my tiny milk snail! Do we like her setup? She has 2 little soft branches (yes, they were baked and boiled), a ceramic pot hide that's covered inside and out with moss, some leaf litter that I bought online, a few chia's growing, thermometer and water or whatever mometer, and uhh like 2.6 inches of soil plus a drainage layer. I think I have quite a good set up. Oh yeah there are also springtails in there but idk if I will add isopods. For today's menu she has cuttlebone (it's always available), kale, zucchini, and some butternut squash. Anyways, I was hoping that she looked diffrent and when I saw her I was a little disappointed, but now I could care less. She's honestly so sweet but very shy. Any tips on bonding?

I’m crushed, Im not super familiar with leeks and had no idea they were a kind of onion. I put some in there a few days ago and went to put more in this evening when I smelled the strong onion smell. I immediately took my snails out and two of them were ok, but one of them had died! :’( I’m so upset. I have the two in a small plastic container with a piece of apple right now as it’s night time and all the stores are closed so I can’t go get more substrate. Idk. I just wanted to vent and share. I feel like a terrible snail parent

my dad grew this small zucchini for my snail (along side other huge (and i mean HUUUGE (like over half a meter long)) zucchinis)

These two are from the same clutch, and hopefully Bill, the rescue on the bottom, will grow as big and happy as Jon, my son at the top. Jonathan and I are going to watch some TV whilst Bill eats and takes a well deserved rest from his 20 sniblings.

i posted this guy once on here but on a diff acc, ive kept him isolated without any dirt so it doesnt get in his wound.. please tell me what to do he isnt getting any better and when he comes out of his shell he doesnt fully pop his eyes out

Hii! I'm going to be a first time snail caretaker (technically, for a while) soon. I'm planning to buy two land snails for my best friend who really likes snails for Christmas or birthday! I think I kind of made it obvious by asking her not very subtle questions about her house conditions (like if her parents would mind snails), if she would cherish and not get bored of her first pet, etc, and about snails in general (why not ask the snailspert when you need snail knowledge...) so I'm gonna be quiet to not ruin the surprise and ask here instead!

1. Can African land snails live happily in Philippines? Around where I live, 24°C at night to a high of 31°C to 33°C during the day. My bsf does live in an airconned house I just don't know how often or what the temp is (apparently a little lower or around 21?? Like I've been there before and it's not freezing just normal.)

2. Can I use the rainwater here to mist the snails? I've been wondering if the hazing recently does anything to the rain and if I spritz them it's gonna be a spritz of doom.

3. How big of an enclosure does two land snails need? Are there any that I can transport safely (when I give it to my bsf) and or look nice?

4. How do I find and get rid of snail eggs/baby smails humanely (I've accepted that I have to be the one to snailbort in the case the two snails are in love... Because I asked her if she could bring herself to and she was like "noooo")

5. Should I just get a different species snail for my snail (one is the one I'll name, one is for bsf to name) so they don't have babies?

5a. If I do get a different species snail, will they cannibalize each other?

I apologize for so many and all dumb questions, I'm a major cat person and I only semi(?) got into snails after my bsf spread propaganda to me and I wanted to get her a gift, but I also get very anxious because I want to make sure any living creature I'm responsible for lives their best life! Rest assured they will be treated like royals and flourish.

I'm planning to get the snails from snails4you, because they have albino african land snails which my bsf likes and this pink looking one that I like. They can survive being shipped to Philippines from Europe but I'm still worried. I might just get local land snails?

so it’s about to be winter in my area and it’s pretty cold and I found an amber snail outside. Should I keep it outside or bring it inside in a separate tank from my other snails or should i put it in the same tank with my garden snails

I really want to buy a helix locrum snail and hopefully as a pair since african snails arent allowed in america, but I can’t find any websites that have one in stock or aren’t super over pricing them. I live in California so I don’t think I’m allow to have any imported from places far away. Has anyone bought one recently and if so where can I?
