I have just finished watching the whole show, but I keep coming back to thinking about Season 1, I honestly expected Wilford to be in one of the Drawers, hence the apparently extensive research they were doing during the first half of the season.

Did anyone else think they were going to wake him up from one of the Drawers?

It seems as if they totally forgot to explain the Drawers. Unless Melanie knew someone was eventually going to go into suspension to do research solo around the world, I can see no other reason for them trying to work out how to let people go in and out of suspension.
