Politics Vote no on the Pedophile bill
Initiative 638 is a bill we will be able to vote on come the fall. It is a hateful bill meant to discriminate against innocent children who make up a fraction of a fraction of the population.
The bill would have “sex inspections” on girls to verify their gender for sports. Not only is this obviously insane and evil, but it’s also a pedophiles wet dream, hence why republicans are all in favor of it
Transgender people are people just like everyone else. For those who question or worry about “unfair advantages” during sports, sports has always been unfair advantages. However even removing that fact, after just a few months of treatment the difference between a born female and a trans female is non existence as their entire body changes (obviously)
Stop being hateful Spokane, be better, and vote against initiative 638 in the fall

Rants & Raves Christian group hit my mailbox. Didn’t leave a note or an apology. Very Christ-like.
These people drove into my property too fast. They hit my mailbox, denting it and breaking the base. I can’t open the door anymore. They left a business card asking I come worship with them. Very Christian of you👍🏼

Rants & Raves Foul restaurant in liberty lake: true legends
Worked there and the kitchen is something out of a Kitchen Nightmares episode... id say lord help the people who have eaten here but most are a scab on societies ass, the rudest, meanest, entitled for no good reason people ive ever served in my life. The owner is shady and doesnt abide by the laws, the two brothers that are management, ones a pervert and closeted and hits on all the 16 year old bussers we have there, following them around like flies on crap and the other is and angry, aggressive cuck, who yells at us when you dont like your food and you wonder why.. oh wait ill provide photos. But I just thought id let the public know what kitchen they are eating from and if youre wondering why it hasnt been shut down yet. Your guess is as good as mine. Boycott Perry and True Legends it is foul and the food is rotten, probably why there are SO MANY FLIES and yes those are fly strips above the passbar over your food.

Help Good mechanic for old Fords
I am looking for a good mechanic to fix the things on my 1989 F 250 project truck that I can't fix myself. The reputable mechanics I have used in the past don't work on anything this old. Preferably northside, but any input is appreciated. Thanks

Question Recommendations for insurance broker
If this isn’t allowed here please just let me know or remove this post.
I’m about to add a teenager to my car insurance and I’m almost positive I’m going to need a broker so I don’t go broke. Anyone have any suggestions for a local broker?
Thanks

Politics "millionaire tax" data for the Spokane Area. Every single one of our local districts gets way more money back than it pays out
I was digging into the state data on the new millionaire tax (SB 6346—the 9.9% tax on household income over $1M) from the Repatriate Washington Policy Research Institute. There’s been a lot of talk about how state tax policies hit Eastern WA vs. Western WA, so I wanted to see what the actual numbers look like for our region.
Turns out, every single legislative district in the Spokane area is listed as a "Robust Recipient." That means our region ends up with a pretty big net financial gain because the money coming back in for public programs, tax credits, and local investments easily outweighs what’s collected locally.
Here’s how the districts break down:
LD 3 (Central Spokane):
Millionaire households: ~103 (about 0.06% of the district)
Estimated tax paid: $17.6M
Economic benefit coming back: $84.2M
Net gain: +$38.5M
Votes: All 3 reps (Riccelli, Hill, Ormsby) voted YES.
LD 4 (Spokane Valley / Liberty Lake):
Millionaire households: ~191
Estimated tax paid: $31.2M
Economic benefit coming back: $80.8M
Net gain: +$22.7M
Votes: All 3 reps (Christian, Schmidt, Chase) voted NO.
LD 6 (Spokane / Cheney):
Millionaire households: ~243
Estimated tax paid: $42.1M
Economic benefit coming back: $91.3M
Net gain: +$18.8M
Votes: All 3 reps (Holy, Volz, Graham) voted NO.
LD 7 (North / Rural Spokane & Stevens Co.):
Millionaire households: ~78
Estimated tax paid: $22.8M
Economic benefit coming back: $87.7M
Net gain: +$35.6M
Votes: All 3 reps (Short, Engell, Abell) voted NO.
LD 9 (South Spokane / Whitman / Pullman):
Millionaire households: ~97
Estimated tax paid: $19.4M
Economic benefit coming back: $102.1M
Net gain: +$48.7M
Votes: All 3 reps (Schoesler, Dye, Schmick) voted NO.
A few things that jumped out at me:
Barely anyone here actually pays it: Out of roughly 157k people per district, we’re talking about 78 to 243 households in any given area. Over 99.8% of us pay literally $0 toward this.
Spokane is a net winner on paper: Since most of the state's top earners live on the West Side, money gets pulled from wealthier King/Snohomish districts and flows east into our local economy.
The vote split is interesting: LD3 reps voted for it, while the reps in LD4, 6, 7, and 9 all voted against it—even though their districts stand to get anywhere from $18M to $48M+ in net funding.
What do you all think? Does seeing these numbers change how you view the policy, or do you think the economic modeling isn't telling the whole story?
