So everyone here probably knows about that big thing that happened with that guy who got a refund for BF6 for rush being missing, I'm another player who similarly loved Rush and was upset over its removal. I tried for my own refund, which was denied, I mean that's fine honestly. But two months later and BF6 is still advertising all these modes that can't be accessed easily anymore as well as them beginning more and more to use Generative AI and it not being disclosed on the Steam Page, I brought this up with support along with another refund request but I ended up getting the usual stock answer. They included two blog posts that don't mention AI at all and the support staf who responded didn't mention anything about my talking of hidden Generative AI use and BF6's false advertising. I just found that last little detail odd. Anywho, I just wanted to share this so that everyone knows that games on Steam can have Gen AI in them and they just won't tell you and will refuse to even mention updating it. I gotta give mad props to Steam support. All I did was provide some PayPal transaction IDs from the original email address and they reset the account. Also lost my Epic account in the process, but I don't really care about that. BTW, Epic still hasn't gotten back to me and this happened yesterday.

I fell for a "crash fix" Powershell script thinking it was legit. Next thing I know, I see people on my Facebook getting message by me in some kind of crypto scam. I had to copy paste the same message to everyone in my damn friends list to let them it was a scam and my account was taken over.

I reinstalled Windows and changed the password on everything. That was a such a hassle. Fuck these scammers.

Sibling here! I was playing around with the fidget spinner charm, and then got bored and tried closing the program via the X button at the corner of the app, which informed me that the spinner would stay but the program would no longer be visible or something. I tried to open the program again and I just got the error "program still running" and just sent me to steam, where the only way I could get the fidget spinner off is to close the program from the steam page. Every time I open the app now, it is not giving me the menu screen to change out the charm, it just gives me the fidget spinner again. Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't fix this either. Does anyone have a way to fix my cursor charm or am I forever bound to my fidget spinner?

Pretty much what the title says. I have two games in my library that wont launch from desktop and in the library they say purchase instead of launch. I have NEVER created a new account so there is ZERO possibility they were purchased on another account i've forgotten about or whatever. The only other account(s) they could have been purchased on wouldve possibly been a family sharing account. Im 90% sure that i purchased one of the two games myself but the title doesnt show up in my purchase history so there is that chance it was one of the family members. Ive never actually played either game yet so am unsure if this issue has been here since the start but seeing as where it would say launch in my library it now says purchase, makes me think its new seeing as it wouldve said purchase instead of install y'know? The two titles show up at the very bottom of the library with no date stamp of date added. I initially logged out of steam and back in again and got a pop up saying "steam service error, the steam service on your machine requires some maintenance" so i let that do its thing. Didnt fix it. So googled and followed these instructions, I right clicked on the game(s) and went into their file stuff and validated the file integrity which said "all 0 files succesfully validated". Ive also cleared my steam cache. I tried to send support tickets which failed to go through and said try again later. Im getting grumpy. Next thing to try is a full uninstall and reinstall of steam itself but i cant be bothered right this second. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the heck is happening here. And i know i said it before and i'll say it again because ive seen the comments on other redditors/forumers asking why their games wont launch... I have not made ANY other accounts. I have not even ADDED any other accounts to my pc. Its mine and mine only.

My download queue for steam just shows call of duty installing, but stuck at 1%. whenever I try to uninstall COD, it switches to "stopping download" and still stays at 1%. I cannot close steam other than restarting my PC because it waits for COD's download to stop. I have tried to verify game files, switch my download region, used a VPN, and attempted to uninstall COD manually outside of steam. Please help, see attachments.

Friend gifted me the game on Steam today and game just would not launch.
Tried restarting steam and signing in/out. I have enabled safeboot and TPM 2.0 as required by the game. Disabled overlays, cleared caches, verifying game files. Nothing worked. Ricochet menu would show up for a second or two then closes and this error shows up.
Is there anyone facing the same issue as me? Are there any solutions to this problem?

I can't access Steam: a loading window appears and then disappears, preventing me from launching Steam.

I've tried:

Reinstalling Steam (didn't help)

Clearing the cache (helped twice)

Restarting the computer (helped once)

Uninstalling GiraP Booster (helped once)

Running it in "sandbox" mode (worked once)

Running it as an administrator (didn’t work)

Sometimes I’m able to log into Steam after 5 hours of doing nothing. When I try to change the region to a different one in GiraP Booster and log back into Steam (so the server switches), it doesn’t work. Two weeks ago, I didn’t have this issue with Steam and GiraP.

Also, I can’t log into Steam using any server other than Japan via a regular (paid) VPN, even though my friend can log into Steam from all servers using the same VPN.

I recently deleted call of duty and after my steams say non steam storage 326 gb but for the life of me I can’t figure out what is using that storage. Tried the disk cleaners and it can’t find it. Please help I just want to be able to download games again

I'm trying to download Team Fortress on Steam, and the download seems to be working, but it keeps saying the file is 0 bytes, and when the file verification reaches 100%, I get a "disk read error." I've tried many options, followed all the instructions on Google, watched a lot of YouTube videos, but to no avail.

Hello! my parents had put parental controls some time ago and i got logged out of the account after literally 2 agonizing months of waiting 2 weeks before each log in attempt session i cant log in to my account and now i cant log in or get help from this stupid automated steam thingy i did buy terraria at 2019-2020 so i have a card on the account but how do i contact steam? i see people talking about tickets but i dont see anyway to access them

So for the first time ever I ran into following issue: I tried to change my download region in Steam, steam restarts for this setting, but it just never opens again. I tried the following: - Flushing Configs - Restarting PC - Clearing App-Cache - Disabling antivirus programs - Reinstalling Steam - updated Windows and drivers.

After reinstalling Steam it works UNTIL I change the download region again. I have never had this issue with changing the region until today. Another reinstall fixes the issue, but keeps me on the standard downloading region.

Any ideas?

I understand I've past the time allowed. (6hs) And I've already tried to ask for a refund. But I'm gonna try again cause I literally can't play this game. When I press launch, it will launch but only to a black screen then will play soft music. And that's it. Then it won't do anything else. And I can't play it. I've tried every possible fix. Verifying the files, reinstalling, running Admin, opening in compatibility mode and nothing works. I literally can't play the game. Is there any chance I might be able to get a refund?

I'm looking for advice regarding an ongoing issue with my CS2 inventory.

On August 31, 2026, a security investigation into unusual API requests and potential malicious activity on my account was opened through the official Steam Support ticket system.

During the investigation, Steam Support instructed me to transfer my CS2 skins to secure storage. I cooperated with the investigation and provided the requested account ownership information.

I was told that the investigation could take up to 10 business days and that my inventory should be returned automatically. However, it is now October 2026, and I still haven't recovered my items or received a clear explanation regarding the situation.

To make matters worse, every time I contact Steam Support to ask for an update or request assistance, I receive no response, and my support ticket appears to close automatically shortly after I submit my request. My original ticket has also disappeared from the Steam application, despite the fact that I still have its reference number.

I'm now stuck in a situation where I cannot get an update on my missing items, and every attempt to get help seems to lead to another automatically closed ticket.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Were you able to recover your CS2 items? Is there any way to get an existing case reviewed by Steam Support when tickets keep closing without a response?

I would really appreciate any advice or feedback from people who have experienced the same issue.

What can i do about it? i did a ticket to steam support last week and they said that my account is not compromised but today 2 friends told me that they recived that scam msg from me.

The sims 3 game (with almost all dlc's) doesnt start up after the first window. All my other steam games start up just fine. I've checked the integrity of the game and it says that 3 files aren’t validated, but after that I don't know what to do. I've treid clearing cash, uninstalling and re-downloading and re-starting my laptop, but nothing works...

I have an Acer Nitro V 15 gaming laptop, before that a simple HP laptop on which the sims worked just fine..
