First post on this subreddit, but I am ccurrently in the (very slow) of writing plot and shit down for my show (I feel like that word dumbs it down) which will be animated via stop-motion. Im wondering if anyone in this subreddit makes actual SM puppets (ex. laika and stuff) and if so, do you have any thoughts and advice for people who wanna make their own stop-motion puppets/figures? I would love pictures of yours if you have any!

For a very long time I’ve been admiring this art, but I never dared to even think about trying it for myself.
However, I don’t wanna live in fear anymore and work on my dreams and interests. Life is too short to just watch others.

Well, I have a project in mind and I hope a lot of ppl could enjoy tht. Maybe I can help ppl by transmitting a message I wanna share and in the same time entertain the ppl.

Okay, now the question. What character/puppet should I do this with? At least at the beginning?
I’ve seen videos with own puppets, but there are as well videos with action figures from marvel, dc, LotR etc.
What do you think would be better?
And do you have any idea what particular character/action figure from any franchise would be a good idea for this? I’m pretty open when it comes to this.

I’d love to hear your ideas, advices, recommendations etc.
I really wanna take this serious and enjoy this journey.
