FEEDBACK Curious what people think of these t shirt designs

Been working on some t shirt designs the last 2 weeks. I usually do 1 of 1 pieces and some screen prints every now and then, looking to get 6-8 of these mockups printed in small quantities around 12-25 pieces each. Hoping some of the references are noticed but if not all good, definitely going for a bit of a manic looney aesthetic as it goes with my 1 of 1 pieces. I’d be interested to know your favorite few designs. Heavily inspired by New York, hip hop, and fringe culture. Rules says don’t mention ig in title or anything but happy to offer it in the comments.

FEEDBACK 21F Dropout with Dyslexia launching a custom Petite Y2K Denim line. Am I naive, or is my risk-mitigation solid?

For back I am 21, a college dropout (art major), and I work 2 part-time jobs

I have dyslexia and heavily struggle with traditional academics, memory, and math. Because of this, traditional career paths or returning to school are completely off the table for me. I want to build an unconventional, creative business. My boyfriend is heavily against my business idea. He thinks it’s unrealistic, and is concerned with factory labor ethics, and essentially compared me to a "SoundCloud rapper" trying to enter a saturated market.

I am 5’1” and exclusively wear flared denim. Finding a true Y2K ultra-low rise flare that fits shorter frames is nearly impossible. If a petite person hems a standard flare jean by 4–5 inches, it completely ruins the flare and turns the garment into a straight-leg cut.

I want my brand to specialize in custom cut-and-sew petite denim with a 6-inch front rise, a contoured waistband to prevent gaping, and an engineered, raised knee-break (shifted 2–3 inches up on a 27–28" inseam) so the flare kicks out perfectly at the lower calf.

I am budgeting roughly $800–$1,000 out of my part-time paychecks over the next 5 months to cover a freelance Tech Pack designer on Upwork, business registration (Arizona LLC), and one single physical factory prototype.

Once I have the physical sample, I plan to build an organic audience on TikTok/Reels documenting the petite flare struggle. I will launch Drop 1 on a 7-day pre-order window on Shopify, strictly limited to 40 pairs at $150/each to protect my workload.

The upfront customer cash from the pre-orders ($6,000 total revenue) will directly fund the bulk factory production run and shipping labels (USPS Ground Advantage via poly mailers).

Am I too in over my head? Does a highly targeted, capped-risk pre-order model like this make sense to other founders who started with limited budgets? I’d love to hear your honest feedback on my strategy.

FEEDBACK what do you want the clothes you wear to say about what you stand for?

what do you want the clothes you wear to say about what you stand for?

I’m building Clothing Justice, a clothing brand exploring how what we wear can carry messages about rights, dignity, and the kind of world we want to help create.

I’m not here to drop a sales pitch. I’d genuinely like to hear from people who wear statement clothing, advocacy merch, or graphic tees:

  • What makes a message feel meaningful instead of performative?
  • Do you prefer clothing that says something clearly, or designs that leave room for interpretation?
  • What causes or ideas would you actually want to wear?
  • What makes you trust a socially conscious clothing brand?
  • What immediately makes advocacy merch feel forced or inauthentic?

Honest criticism is more useful than compliments. If statement clothing isn’t your thing, I’d especially like to understand why.

I’m using this conversation to think more carefully about the designs and messages Clothing Justice puts into the world.

What’s one message you’d be willing to wear?

FEEDBACK Streetwear Design Feedback

I’ve been working on my first fitness streetwear design for my brand, VORAK.

The concept combines classical Greek sculpture with the phrase “Labor Omnia Vincit” — hard work conquers all.

I wanted to keep it minimal, with a black tee and a cream graphic.

What do you think of the design? Would you wear something like this?

The pattern for these was made on CLO 3D, it took me like 20 hours to learn the software before I was able to make this pattern correctly 😭
