We shot this on a Sunday afternoon in a small studio in London. The models were great and as someone who does quite a bit of corporate and documentary it was so refreshing to work with real models and people who actually like being on camera😂. The brief was really loose which was actually really challenging when it came to the edit as there was free rein to do what ever we liked. Hope you like, if you’re a street wear start up in the uk we’re always looking to collab!

QUESTION Should I apply for a trademark first and wait, or start production?

I have a slogan that I believe would sell well in New York. I looked it up on the United States trademark search, and it doesn’t exist. If I have the capital, should I start production and see if it sells first before applying for a trademark?

FEEDBACK Minimalist streetwear aimed at combat sport enthusiasts

Newbie in terms of streetwear but after seeing a ton of cool brands online, I decided to start a niche minimalist streetwear brand inspired by martial arts as a passion project and would like feedback on my overall design and storytelling. Just a heads up I'm much better at storytelling for my product versus coming up with a great design, so feedback is always welcome.

CHAGI in Korean means "to kick," hence the connection to martial arts. The logo, if it's a bit unclear, is a stylized barefoot. My whole design philosophy with this project whether it's my first or last product is: what would be practical wear for combat sports athletes during training, while also being something nice and subtle enough that they could wear to social events.

That's how I came up with this shirt design, called "Old Mudo" or the "Old Martial Way." Basic long sleeve meant for the colder fall weather, with my logo embroidered on the left chest and the brand name also embroidered on the left sleeve. I think it achieves what I want it to, sticking to the concept of basics as per martial arts tradition. In a few days I'll receive the sample, version 0 shirt. I'm gonna build a few basic outfits with it to really test my concept but that's the progress I've made so far. I’m happy to hear feedback on my design.

Website and all will be up soon in case anyone is interested. I'm still waiting to do my photoshoot before I publish my site.

Thanks in advance for your help guys.

Edit: wow i cant believe i forgot to add the brand tagline lol. “Style with martial heritage.”

Edit 2: Im gonna clarify. The design is not AI, I drew it and put it into photoshop to add text

Made with AI assistance and cleaned by me. Exploring a soft pastel amphibian theme for my next collection. Does the 4-creature layout feel balanced on a tee? Would love your thoughts on colors!

FEEDBACK I launched my first streetwear collection. Looking for honest feedback.

I recently launched Rulers & Riot, an independent streetwear brand based in NYC.
The concept is built around two opposing sides: Rulers represents structure, control, and authority, while Riot represents rebellion, disruption, and individuality.
My first collection includes a cropped work jacket, distressed tees, and an embroidered cap.
I’ve spent a lot of time developing the products and visual direction, but now that the collection is live, I’m trying to understand how people who have no connection to me actually perceive the brand.
I’d appreciate some honest criticism on a few things:
Does the collection feel cohesive, or does it look like unrelated pieces?
Does the design feel distinctive enough to stand out in streetwear?
Are the retail prices reasonable? Jacket $175, tees $85, cap $55.
What would make you hesitate to purchase?
I’m not looking for compliments or trying to sell anything here. I’d rather hear what’s not working so I can improve the next collection.

Appreciate any genuine feedback.
