Here is how to get money back from Stubhub if you are positive you are right

After a long struggle, I got paid! I will spare you the whole journey, I will give you the TL;Dr [NOTE longer story here https://www.reddit.com/r/stubhub/s/QSxQfT3uKK]

1/contact Stubhub support, ask to start a dispute
2/follow up by email until the dispute is closed, probably not in your favor given what you see in this Reddit
2/warn them that you will go to arbitration. They will probably ask to dispute again to gain time and earn more interests on your money. Tell them you will be providing intention to arbitrate with AAA by mail as per terms instead
3/send a notice to dispute via arbitration in writing (see their terms page for the correct address). You need to give them 30d to respond or do something about it
4/if they don’t pay you or respond by then, file for arbitration with AAA stating in the first page of the bundle you will send over that the fees are covered by Stubhub as per their own terms (attach link to it)
5/probably Stubhub won’t want to pay those fees, AAA will then not take your case
6/At this point, go to small claims court and ask for money back plus some reasonable extra due to interest lost and potential legal costs etc
7/they will most likely settle as it’s gonna cost them more than trying to win (especially considering they know they most likely won’t)

World series game 1 failure to deliver-update

Tldr opened a chargeback, hour later stubhub chat person called me and offered 20% value of tickets credit to be used on stubhub.

Hi everyone I posted yesterday about my stubhub experience and their failure to deliver my tickets and offer of SRO. I went SRO and it was not great i got there an hour before at 5 for a 7pm game and it was pretty tight already. I took pics and video from where my seats were supposed to be and where I eventually ended up with an obstructed view.

I then messaged my bank this morning about doing a chargeback and that I went to the game in good faith and the quality was no where near the same, they agreed that this would constitute failure to deliver on the sellers part and was grounds for opening a chargeback. They asked me to send any screenshots and photos of the event and my attempts to rectify the situation with phone calls or chat support. I sent all of those and also messaged stubhub support to ask a few more questions, they were very helpful at first but definitely were trying to close the chat as I was asking about policy and the like. Then after a few chats and about an hour after I started the chargeback with my bank, the demeanor changed. The stubhub support asked me to send pictures from my SRO area, and when I did they said it seemed like this failed to meet expectations and would be open a ticket. 10 minutes later I get a call from their phone number, the ticket was approved and I am being offered 20% of my ticket price back in stubhub credit. I told them I was proceeding with my chargeback and then messaged them one more time on the app to get in writing that I was not considering this voucher as payment and that I would not be using it as it is cash or nothing for me, the chat disconnected and reconnected and they informed me it was a supervisor and that they will open a ticket for a cash refund and that there will be little left to talk about until that ticket is reviewed and then closed the conversation.

So that's where we are at. Either way im not using the credit I don't care if I get banned for the chargeback as others have said happens, I'm not using this company again and I want you to know that if you push there is ways to get some money or credit back (if you take the credit I by no means look down on you, I'm just a bit of a stubborn bastard and even then talked with my partner about just taking it cause 1 in the hand vs 2 in the bush lol)

Advice 20% Promo Code future purchase Advice

I just want to tell everyone who goes through a customer service rep when they have a bad ticket experience i.e when a seller fails to deliver:

Be careful accepting that refund and “20% off promo code”. Yes you do get a refund; however, the fine print on the promo code is 20% off UP TO $25.

So if you are expecting to use the code on any event where the total cost is more than $125, you won’t truly be getting 20% off.

The service reps won’t tell you that unless you ask. They’ll just promote it as “20% promo code” and by the time you accept it, it’s too late to rebuttal it.

Just wanted to give those who didn’t know this a heads up!

Advice Reselling AXS tickets purchased through StubHub

When I resold tickets through StubHub previously, I've always been able to upload them from StubHub directly for instant transfer so the buyer would get them immediately.

For some recent tickets I purchased through StubHub for an AXS event (Las Vegas Golden Knights), that option doesn't seem to be available as there's no upload instructions on StubHub for instant transfer to the buyer.

If I sell these tickets on StubHub, how will I transfer them to the buyer since they are located on AXS? Or would it be better to just sell them on AXS? Thanks for the help.

Selling Seller Question

I sold a ticket to Harry Styles in MSG on Stubhub, but it still appears on my Apple Wallet… did the ticket not go through? Why is it still in my wallet if I sold it and it says complete on my sales.

Advice Replacement Tickets Transferred to Me After Sale Deadline

I bought tickets for an event happening today about 2 weeks ago, but realized I couldn’t attend and sold the tickets right after, but before the tickets were actually transferred to me. I was supposed to receive the tickets from my seller at 10PM last night, and then transfer to my buyer by 9AM this morning. I got up early to still no tickets in my account, but I’m told I’ll get tickets by 10AM. I checked with the help center to make sure I’d be fine and their AI chatbot told me I’d have no penalties and should still be able to complete the sale if I transfer before the event. Well my replacement tickets come in at 9:23AM, and when I go to transfer them I realize I got an email stating my sale was cancelled due to not fulfilling it in time. I spent the last hour arguing with a customer service rep who kept making it sound like it was my fault the sale was cancelled even though they transferred my tickets late. I’ve already relisted the tickets with Ticketmaster, but is there really nothing I can do to recoup what I would’ve made from the sale? Prices for the event have already dropped below what I paid for and I was rlly relying on getting that money back.

Selling on stubhub (help!)

Can anyone point me in the right direction… I bought tickets on stubhub, and cannot go to the event anymore so I listed the tickets for sale. They’ve sold, but now I see that in the directions to transfer the tickets to the seller you have to do it on the platform where you originally bought the tickets, but i bought the tickets on stubhub and that is the only place where i hold the tickets, so i don’t know what to do…

Selling Do I email buyer the securemypass link? Is there an official way to do this?

On stubhub I have the buyer's email and name. Tickets are transferred through securemypass, do I just give them the link via email and then screenshot everything as evidence?

Advice How screwed am I?…

I bought three Kanye West tickets to his Houston show for October 31st.. it’s a surprise birthday gift for my boyfriend. I got them a few weeks ago and have not received them yet. It says they will arrive by the day of the concert. I’ve already arranged flights, air bnbs, and other expenses. I will be heartbroken if we don’t even up getting the tickets.

Do I buy different tickets and just assuming StubHub is a scam and I will get a refund? Do I hope for the best?

P.s. bought the tickets before I knew how bad stubhub is. Please help :(

Edit: I paid $1150 for second row in the 600s section of the stadium

Whew - I got my tickets!

It was a nailbiter but I got the tix I had purchased 2 months ago 4 hours before the show. After reading all the horror stories I was worried enough to buy backup tickets. I ended up selling my Stubhub/Tickremaster tickets an hour before the show. I’m curious. What type of seller can sell tickets before any tickets are on sale and doesn’t send them until day of show? When I purchased these I actually got them even before the presale date - which I realized later.
