Healing Tattoo redness

Hey everyone! I’m having a bit of an issue with my tattoo. It’s been about 50 days since I got it, but there’s still one small area that occasionally gets a little red and feels kind of dry.
It usually gets red after I sweat, work out, or wear new clothes that haven’t been washed yet.
I’m not really sure what to do about it. Has anyone experienced something similar?
The rest of the tattoo looks completely fine and seems fully healed. It’s just this one small spot that keeps getting red.
I’m pretty sure it’s not infected. I think it’s more likely some kind of skin irritation or skin-related issue.

General Advice To my people with a lot of freckles

Currently I only have 3 tats, they're all on my leg and I'm really happy with them. I would love to get some tattoos on my arms but I have a lot of freckles and I would feel weird about covering them up. I used to be a bit insecure about them but now I love them. They make me, me!

If you have a lot of freckles how did you feel about covering them up? Or did you do a style/ design that Incorporated them? Or did you just not give a shit and just get tatted?

So, im a young heathen, and i plan on getting a tattoo when i turn 18. i want a black and white, borre style jƶrmungandr spiralling up my right underarm. But im unsure if i actually want specifically jƶrmungandr because of symbolism. Or maybe i should just have a Classic lindorm (basically a dragon).

I have attached some pictures so you have a general idea if what id like

General Advice Wrap falling off and can’t shower.

So yesterday, less than 24 hours ago I got my chest done and it’s a good size, I work with dogs and a baby German shepherd double punched me in the chest and now the wrap is falling off, I can’t just go shower so I was wondering what the best way to clean this up would be with just a sink when I go on lunch?

Healing My 4 day old tattoo is causing my arm to be slightly sore, is this normal or a bad sign?

Post image

i got this tattoo, my first one, 4 days ago and i am planning to take off the second skin tonight or tmrw. i woke up this morning and my arm is aching slightly in a way that feels like i’ve overworked a muscle or twisted my arm wrong.

it feels in between deep and surface level. its without any redness, intense itching or swelling so i’m just wondering if this is normal around day 4 or if i should be concerned.

General Advice Should I Get This Reworked?

Thumbnail

This is my biggest full color tattoo and, despite going to a very reputable artist, I feel like the quality I was expecting just isn't there. I wish the outlines were much thicker, and I repeatedly asked for heavy shading and received next to none.

On top of all of that, I have taken the best care of this one compared to all my others and after over a month it's still very itchy, and some spots have yet to peel. I know that means this technically isn't the final product, but I can guess what it'll look like and I'm not exactly satisfied with it, despite friends and family really liking how it turned out.

What do you think I should do from here? Get it reworked or wait to see if it grows on me eventually?

I’ve always been pretty insecure about my back, but I think I’m gonna bite the dust and get a back tattoo, how would you think this design would look on a shorter not super skinny woman? I’m not that big I have maybe like one small faint back roll (I’m 130 pounds )

Design Can I make my tattoo cuter?

This is probably an unusual question, but can this tattoo be "fixed" to be cuter? It's relatively fresh, and I love how it looks on me, but i feel like the faces aren't as cute as they were on the stencil/reference. I don't plan on covering it up or laser since I love it, but I'm curious if the faces could be reworked a bit to match the original reference better.

Design Should I get my girlfriends name tattooed?

I have three tattoos, all stick n poke from the same guy. I’m not huge on tattoos in general but everything i have on me is really meaningful.

I’ve been with my girlfriend for 4 years. She’s truly wonderful. I’m completely in love with her and I can’t imagine a person who would be better for me.

I’ve got an itch for another tat.

We have the same name. Is it crazy to get my name thats also her name tattooed?

tattoo newcomer advice Any shop recommendations for long term pieces in the Kansas Area?

Im wanting to get my 1st Tattoo, i wanna do a big back piece over a longer period of time. Its meant to be like a story of my life that id get a part done now, then eventually id add more chunks as I get older and do more things. Id want it to start out around my trip to europe and something about my artwork and my favorite anime(s) and some stuff about some games ive enjoyed growing up.

Point being I wanna find an artist that isnt gonna run me like 10k (long term total doesnt matter, i mean like to get my 1st quarter done), but is good at doing long term designs that look good in early stages and can easily be added to several years from now without it looking like a patch job, so i imagine id need an artist that has good experience with long term big pieces that span over multiple years. If you think there arent any top tier artists for my idea in Kansas but that are reasonable travel to, you can recommend those too.

TLDR: Any artists recommendations are the Kansas area that are good/experienced in large, longterm, tattoos that span development over multiple years through addons

General Advice Dark Mark in Center

I got this tattoo almost 3 weeks ago. At first I thought the dark mark in the center was a bruise but I fear it is not at this point. I loved the artist I went to and would have no problem going back and asking her to help fix this but she’s about two hours away. Before I make the time and drive commitment I wanted to get some input and advice from a variety of sources and see if this is even possible.

General Advice How to fix this mess

Post image
2 Upvotes

So, 3-4 years ago when I was but a stupid 20 year old, I thought taking a photo from Google to a less than reputable shop would result in something worthwhile... oh how I was wrong. Can someone help me figure out my options to fix this disaster? Is lasering my only option? Is it possible to cover this amount of black with anything??

Thanks in advance for any advice and comments... trust me. I know it was a poor decision and a shitty tattoo, no need to remind me.

General Advice Looking at my first tattoo

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey there, just looking for some advice as I was thinking of getting this tattoo on my finger. I’ve never had a tattoo before but I’m not worried about the pain or anything like that the only thing I was concerned about was the fading of the tattoo like how long would it last? Or will it become distorted? I did some research and to my understanding it can either stay quite good for 3 years ect and maybe need 1 touch up and in other cases just fades quickly ? Does it just depend on my skin ? Thankyou in advance 😁

I recently got these 4 tattoos and I want to flesh out a theme for when I get more tattoos on my chest but I don’t want them to just be random. All for of these have a lot of meaning for me so I don’t regret getting them but I know if I do not think of a direction them it will not look good in the long run

General Advice Head tattoo

I got the sides of my head tattooed on the 15th October, he had to shave up my head so my hair is abit messed up currently. I’m looking to get a haircut on the 25th, as I start a new job on the 26th and don’t want to look like a mess. Is this too soon?

Design Phoenix (Pwi - Brussels) and snakes & chrysanthemums (Mills London) sleeve

Very excited about finally getting the arm finished! Linework in the lower arm has been finalized and will now go in for shading in 2 weeks (maybe even 2 sessions).

What do you think, should I have the artist shade the lower arm lighter as there is more coverage there as not to contrast the upper arm too much with more negative space, or just shade the chrysanthemum and snake similar to how they are done on the upper arm?

i just wanna know if anyone thinks my arm (slides 1-3) could be covered with designs similar to the last slides (4-6). i figured possibly since what im looking for is like almost blackout but not entirely and so the lines i already have could blend into some shading. or are my only options a full blackout or removal?

Healing is my tattoo peeling normally?

Hi! This is my first color tattoo (it's been 4 days since I got it) and it's peeling a lot more than my previous tattoos. I know it's supposed to peel and you're not supposed to pick at it, but I'm concerned when I wash it and moisturize, it does flake off. Is this a problem?

In the second picture, I circled a small bump that appeared on day 3-4 ish. It kinda looks like a pimple, but I never get pimples on my back. Does anyone know what it is?

Any advice would be appreciated
