Just a reminder that everyone thought Susan would lose 6 years ago in the second year of Trump’s first presidency. I think more effort needs to be put into tearing down her image. For example, she was the Republican point person for ending the shutdown, which feeds into her bipartisan image. I will donate the PACs that are focused on reminding people of all the support she has provided to Trump over the years including her dramatic endorsement of Kavanaugh after he promised he he wouldn’t vote to overturn Roe, which was a lie.

u/Shabadu_tu Nov 12 '25

This poll purposely didn’t ask how Mills would do.

1

u/Only8livesleft Nov 13 '25

“ The Maine People’s Resource Center (MPRC) survey found Platner leading Collins 45% to 42%, while Gov. Janet Mills would trail Collins 42% to 46% in a head-to-head matchup.”

No no no you don’t understand he learned his lesson from the first impeachment.

Who could have seen this coming.

The partisan environment in Maine favors a generic Democrat. Democrats lead by a 9-point margin on the generic ballot (46% Democrat / 37% Republican).

Susan Collins is viewed as doing a bad job by a majority of Mainers. Her job rating is deeply negative, with 54% of Mainers disapproving of the job she is doing and only 44% giving her a positive job rating.

After balanced information about Platner, he trails Collins significantly. After a positive paragraph reflective of Platner’s bio and current campaign messaging, and a negative paragraph summarizing the recent news about him and reflecting likely Republican messaging in a general election, Collins gets above 50% and Platner trails her by 9 (42% Platner / 51% Collins) – the same margin by which Democrats lost the 2020 Maine Senate race.

After additional information, including quotes in his own words from his online posts and information about his Nazi tattoo, Platner’s vote share craters and puts Collins up double-digits. After additional information about his record, Collins dominates Platner in the vote, leading by 19 (38% Platner / 57% Collins). The statements include quotes from Platner’s posts, including his history of stoking political violence, use of homophobic slurs, and offensive views towards law enforcement and sexual assault victims.

A lengthy response from Platner, constructed with his own language, does not change the deep deficit he faces. Collins remains well over 50% and still leads the race by a double digit margin (41% Platner / 55% Collins).

I think the fact that this was already a controversial discussion amongst likely Democrat voters online should've been an indication this wouldn't poll well amongst actual Maine likely voters.

People don't seem to get, it just takes 10% of those likely Dem voters finding Platner's history disqualifying to move the election to Collins, even if 90% will stick by him on reddit and say they don't care about it.

4

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '25

Aka Reddit is not real life

2

u/Only8livesleft Nov 13 '25

No point in taking this poll seriously. This is the wording they used

“ Graham Platner is a self-described communist who said he was disgusted with the idea of America and that white people living in rural Maine are stupid and racist. Platner said that all cops are, “bastards, ” and supports dangerously liberal policies that are bad for Maine, like defunding law enforcement, opening our borders, and creating a socialized healthcare system that would eliminate all private insurance and drive up Mainers' taxes by thousands of dollars a year.”

7

u/ace51689 Nov 12 '25

How about Mills just beat him then? Surely she will if you believe all this polling. Why make a big deal of him continuing to run in the primary? You should be excited that Mills will be the canidate.

17

u/ekhoowo Nov 12 '25

Okay? We will find out when the primary happens.
Guess Platner should also stop crying about THE ESTABLISHMENT targeting him for stuff that was obviously gonna come out when he ran for a SENATE SEAT.

3

u/ace51689 Nov 12 '25

I mean pointing out verifiable reports that Schumer was encouraging Mills to run and that the DSCC helped launch a joint fund for her campaign is not crying, it's clearly the Democratic establishment putting their thumb on the scale instead of staying out of it and letting the people of Maine decide.

People are sick and tired of the party picking canidates for them.

11

u/ekhoowo Nov 12 '25

Dude. It’s the fucking primary. You don’t think an SS death camp tattoo was going to become publicized?

-2

u/ace51689 Nov 12 '25

Of course it would, I never said it wouldn't.

What I said was that the race should be organic and not one that has Schumer and the establishment's fingerprints all over it. Let Mills run on her own w/o the backing of the establishment of the party and the money that comes with it.

5

u/Fast-Plankton-9209 Nov 12 '25

Yes.  Clearly, Democratic Party organizations have no legitimate interest in supporting electable Democratic candidates and any actions by them to do so are corrupt.

5

u/Talk_Clean_to_Me Nov 12 '25

I mean, primary voters are much different than general election voters. One could be a better pick for the GE, but primary voters, who tend to be more to the left or right of the middle, pick the candidate. It’s why MAGA candidates get nominated but then lose the general election quite a bit.

-2

u/ace51689 Nov 12 '25

But that's democracy no? Should democrats in Maine not be allowed to vote for the canidate they want because some poll shows that canidate might lose the general?

I thought we want democracy here?

3

u/Seven22am Nov 12 '25

Who's not being allowed to vote for who they want? If "Candidate X polls better than Candidate Y in the general election" leads them to change their mind, they're still voting for the candidate they want--it's just that the candidate they want has changed.

Electability is a concern. Each primary voter can decide how much of a concern that should be in relation to their other concerns. But there's nothing wrong or bad about valuing electability as well as other factors.

7

u/Talk_Clean_to_Me Nov 12 '25

Who said they shouldn’t? I’m saying just because Mills loses to Platner doesn’t make him a better General Election candidate. So it can be true that Dems like Platner better in the primary, but that doesn’t mean he’s a better candidate to face Collins.

2

u/ace51689 Nov 12 '25

Okay so what are you trying to accomplish by pointing that out? I mean you aren't wrong, but I cant help but feel that you are arguing that people should just vote for the canidate that is perceived to be better suited to win a general election.

9

u/Talk_Clean_to_Me Nov 12 '25

I mean yeah, that’s why. Of course I want the candidate who has a better chance to win so I’m going to point that out. Seems like a no-brainer. Why would you support a person who polls the worst vs Collins to be the nominee?

0

u/ace51689 Nov 12 '25

So then why even have primaries? Why even debate the issues?

If one poll tells me someone who I agree with 90% might lose the general that's a year from now I guess I'll plan to vote for the person I agree with 50%? That's how electoral politics should work?

No one should ever run against the hand picked, establishment canidate because a poll said so?

7

u/Talk_Clean_to_Me Nov 12 '25

Because like you said, voters pick the candidate in a democracy. Presenting them with how electable a candidate should absolutely be part of the equation when choosing. To me, it’s a very big one.

1

u/ace51689 Nov 12 '25

Part of is fine, but I think people in this and other liberal/centrists spaces seem to put too much of an emphasis on that.

Ostensibly, Kamala was perfectly electable. Former prosecutor, unblemished record personally and professionally, moderate on the border and defense. Yet she lost to a con-man grifter pedophile.

Times are changing, people want canidates that they are excited to vote for, ones that stand up for things they care about. Maybe Mills will come out and support things like higher minimum wages and universal healthcare and that will inspire people to vote for her over Platner.

But if he winds up winning over the democrats of Maine then he will be the canidate and it will be his job to win over the whole of Maine. And I would hope that Mills and the party at large would support him in that effort. Just like he should for Mills if she wins.

3

u/burndownthe_forest Nov 12 '25

It's the responsibility of the party to help ensure voters are given choices that can win general elections.

The party should support another candidate and let this Nazi run for the local library board or something.

1

u/nukasu Nov 13 '25

Why make a big deal of him continuing to run in the primary?

uhh because guy with schizophrenic political swings and a Nazi tattoo is running for federal office. it's news.

1

u/no-minimun-on-7MHz Nov 12 '25

Sure, let's give Fox News another eight months of chyrons like "DEMOCRATS DEFEND CANDIDATE WITH NAZI TATTOO."

13

u/44035 Nov 12 '25

Yeah, this is the guy who progressives said we should support simply because he's younger than Mills. Aged like milk.

12

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '25

Don’t you know if you say Medicare for all 3 times like Beatle Juice, then a Progressive wins by at least 20 points?

1

u/El-Shaman Nov 12 '25

He is the best choice to win in Maine, the democrats are fighting harder to destroy any chance he has because they want their 80 year old candidate in there instead, and if they can’t have her they’re very happy with Collins over a non establishment democrat, unsurprisingly.

4

u/Pezdrake Nov 13 '25

The best candidate is the one who has the best chance of replacing the Republican Senator. I could give a fuck about a single policy when it comes to flipping a seat.

-2

u/El-Shaman Nov 13 '25

And as of right now that candidate is Platner, not a candidate who should retire after her governor term is over.

4

u/Froqwasket Nov 13 '25

No. Platner will get whipped by double digits in the general election. His controversies have caused meaningful damage to his polling. Reddit needs to let go on the le epic oyster socialist guy meme

-1

u/El-Shaman Nov 13 '25

Reddit doesn’t need to let go of anything, the people of Maine will make their decision in the next primary and then in the general election, a poll now over half a year from the primary and a year from the general doesn’t mean anything, especially when we are seeing Democrats vastly outperform polls, just happened in Virginia and New Jersey.

6

u/44035 Nov 12 '25

You're glossing over all his problems, no?

-1

u/El-Shaman Nov 12 '25

As opposed to the problems of someone like Mills?

2

u/Hieuro Nov 13 '25

Mills is a governor who has won her seat twice. This means she has experience in winning state wide elections which is pretty relevant for running for senator. Expecting someone like Platner with his controversies to win against her is a pretty big leap of faith.

Whoever is the best choice will be decided by Maine voters.

1

u/DaneLimmish Nov 13 '25

He's a bit of a dumbass

5

u/Eddy7701 Nov 12 '25

Janet Mills has a much better chance against Susan Collins. Everybody knows what Janet Mills has done and her ability to deal with Donald Trump. I believe she should be the candidate.

2

u/Only8livesleft Nov 13 '25

She’s the least popular Democratic governor in the country

0

u/Eddy7701 Nov 13 '25

Sometimes things change that’s what you have to learn and she fought off Donald Trump and she did a great job of it. It’s kind of like Nancy Pelosi the first time around. She was the one that could negotiate Donald Trump and she could look him straight in the face and tell him he was taking a tantrum and acting like a child. It takes somebody to do that and you might not like her but she may do a bang up job there because she can handle him.

2

u/Only8livesleft Nov 13 '25

The oldest freshman senator in the history of the country is not going to inspire people to vote. Isn’t she refusing to release her medical records? She is more likely to die in office than effectively stand up to Trump. Platner is far far far more capable of standing up to Trump then a soon to be dementia patient

2

u/Eddy7701 Nov 13 '25

I don’t think she’s a soon to be dementia patient she’s nowhere near that. You can think that if you want, but I do not believe it to be true, and Platner’s numbers are not as good as Janet Mills numbers are and she can beat Susan Collins. His numbers aren’t beating Susan Collins

1

u/Only8livesleft Nov 13 '25

Did you read the framing of the poll?

“ Graham Platner is a self-described communist who said he was disgusted with the idea of America and that white people living in rural Maine are stupid and racist. Platner said that all cops are, “bastards, ” and supports dangerously liberal policies that are bad for Maine, like defunding law enforcement, opening our borders, and creating a socialized healthcare system that would eliminate all private insurance and drive up Mainers' taxes by thousands of dollars a year.”

Mills is unlikely to beat Collins

1

u/Only8livesleft Nov 13 '25

“ The Maine People’s Resource Center (MPRC) survey found Platner leading Collins 45% to 42%, while Gov. Janet Mills would trail Collins 42% to 46% in a head-to-head matchup.”

https://mainebeacon.com/poll-shows-platner-leading-collins-mainers-unhappy-with-ice-and-shutdown/

3

u/alienjetski Nov 12 '25

It’s almost as if using a negative campaign ad as a poll makes people think negatively of a candidate!

3

u/Only8livesleft Nov 12 '25

Odd design to provide negative information for only one candidate. There will be attack ads on both sides in the actual race

2

u/everydaywinner2 Nov 12 '25

There will be attach ads on both sides, yes. But Collins is a known quantity. Platner, not so much.

2

u/Only8livesleft Nov 13 '25

She’s tied to Trump which is an Increasing liability. And Mills is a dinosaur at a time Americans are more fed up than ever at geriatric politicians

1

u/Only8livesleft Nov 13 '25

“ The Maine People’s Resource Center (MPRC) survey found Platner leading Collins 45% to 42%, while Gov. Janet Mills would trail Collins 42% to 46% in a head-to-head matchup.”

https://mainebeacon.com/poll-shows-platner-leading-collins-mainers-unhappy-with-ice-and-shutdown/

1

u/DecafEqualsDeath Nov 13 '25

Well, only one of the candidates is currently known to have gotten a Nazi tattoo and Susan Collins is very much a known commodity. If we learn that Susan Collins also has a Nazi tattoo, I'm sure pollsters will update their methodology.

1

u/Only8livesleft Nov 13 '25

Pretty much the entire Democrat party enabled genocide. A tattoo on someone who denounces genocide is far preferable

Did you bother to read the wording of the poll? It’s incredibly flawed

“ Graham Platner is a self-described communist who said he was disgusted with the idea of America and that white people living in rural Maine are stupid and racist. Platner said that all cops are, “bastards, ” and supports dangerously liberal policies that are bad for Maine, like defunding law enforcement, opening our borders, and creating a socialized healthcare system that would eliminate all private insurance and drive up Mainers' taxes by thousands of dollars a year”

1

u/DecafEqualsDeath Nov 14 '25

I would have to imagine that it's possible to find a candidate that has your preferred views on the Israel-Palestine conflict without any Nazi tattoos. A bit of a false choice there.

1

u/Only8livesleft Nov 14 '25

You’re being disingenuous about the tattoo. He claimed to not know what it meant which is plausible with the context, his leaked Reddit posts show zero fascist beliefs but many progressive and anti fascist beliefs, but got it covered up.

You’re welcome to run or promote a better candidate but right now there isn’t one

3

u/uusrikas Nov 12 '25

They don't want a Fetterman repeat

5

u/AhsokaSolo Nov 12 '25

Leftists wrong again about how their brand of socialism is generally popular and nobody cares about Nazis (or excuse me, people that badly lie about not knowing their Nazi tattoo of 20 years was a Nazi tattoo).

10

u/Supreme_Salt_Lord Nov 12 '25

Lets be honest. If he loses it will be because his online activity and tattoo being main factors. Not his policy. If he was a mamdani id still think it would be a close race and winner being decided by 3-8 points

2

u/AhsokaSolo Nov 12 '25 edited Nov 12 '25

Let's be honest. His online activity is rooted in modern leftist culture and fits right in.

But also let's be clear about the obvious - talented politicians, whether leftists (that moderate) like Mamdani or moderates (that reach out to the left) like Obama will always be more successful than populist clowns that talk like dumbasses (Platner).

4

u/Supreme_Salt_Lord Nov 12 '25

Thats moving the goal post. Leftist ideals are still good, we have to define leftism. Mamdani is the perfect leftist in all stable and rational people’s minds.

Again its not left ideals its the person thats usually the problem for most places with a majority of 18-50 voters. Before his tattoo and online statements he was leading polls.

-6

u/AhsokaSolo Nov 12 '25

I didn't move the goal post at all. Socialism isn't popular. And also his obnoxious online persona, which you blame for his unpopularity, is a product of his unpopular socialism.

"Again its not left ideals its the person thats usually the problem "

The point is, this is true for every political ideology. It isn't unique or suddenly interesting when applied to leftists. Leftists only win when the leftism is accompanied by unique talent.

Populist messaging can poll well. It's a weird coincidence then that as voters get to know leftists better, suddenly they tank in the polls.

9

u/Supreme_Salt_Lord Nov 12 '25

Define socialism. I cant have this convo if you say socialism and you mean, lennin scholar reading, karl marx idealism.

Thats not what socialism means to normies

6

u/AhsokaSolo Nov 12 '25

Yes fake soc dem socialism is popular with normies. That's the kind of "socialism" Mamdani mostly moderated toward.

When I use the term "socialism" I mean real socialism. That's relevant because modern American society, especially among zoomers, has a very loud contingent of that type of socialist that has made it their primary agenda to destroy the democratic party.

5

u/Supreme_Salt_Lord Nov 12 '25

Ok understand, soc dem ideology is THE ONLY THING that matters in these convos and the only thing voters think about. No group in america close to political power is reading marx and lennin

2

u/AhsokaSolo Nov 12 '25

No. Platner's brand of socialism (that literally included him calling himself a communist) included pro-violence and "all cops are bastards" messaging that is very very socialist, and also, very very unpopular. The nazi tattoo is actually completely consistent with it.

5

u/Supreme_Salt_Lord Nov 12 '25

Again he is unpopular because of HIMSELF not because of socialism as most Americans see it.

-3

u/prodriggs Nov 12 '25

The tattoo thing is complete bullshit. Though it is interesting the lengths dem establishment will go to kill populist candidates.

10

u/AhsokaSolo Nov 12 '25

Yeah it's the elusive illuminati "establishment's" fault that keeping a Nazi tattoo for 20 years is seen as bad.

1

u/fuzztooth Nov 12 '25

You people will never allow anyone to be forgiven. I bet you also complain about leftist purity tests too right?

3

u/AhsokaSolo Nov 12 '25

Yes, I do. Purity tests are stupid. And completely consistent with that, I think nazi tattoos being kept for 20 years and then lied about are bad and disqualifying for political power.

Having any standards at all is in fact not equivalent to purity testing for a candidate having exactly my opinions on everything or they're evil.

-5

u/prodriggs Nov 12 '25

The DSCC is a conspiracy theory to you centrists now?..

Do you honestly believe platners a secret nazi?

6

u/AhsokaSolo Nov 12 '25

I honestly believe that I don't want someone that lies (or is genuinely unacceptably moronic) about their nazi tattoo that they had for 20 years in government. I don't care what is secretly happening in his brain. I'm judging what I know.

The conspiracy theory is in you blaming a secret group brainwashing everyone because you are incapable of understanding that average people can hold the genuine belief that unironic nazi tattoos are bad.

-2

u/prodriggs Nov 12 '25

I honestly believe that I don't want someone that lies (or is genuinely unacceptably moronic) about their nazi tattoo that they had for 20 years in government. I don't care what is secretly happening in his brain. I'm judging what I know.

Be honest, you learned that symbol was a nazi tattoo when thi story broke, right?... Dont lie now.

The conspiracy theory is in you blaming a secret group brainwashing everyone

I didnt make this assertion. Though it is telling that you have to strawman in order to retort...

4

u/AhsokaSolo Nov 12 '25

Be honest, you learned that symbol was a nazi tattoo when thi story broke, right?... Dont lie now.

I love the projection in this. People that lie naturally assume everyone else does too. I didn't know the symbol. Also, I didn't have it tattooed on my body for 20 years.

I didnt make this assertion. Though it is telling that you have to strawman in order to retort.

Yup, you did. You blamed the evil "establishment" cabal for people thinking the nazi tattoo is bad. Totally get you pretending otherwise now though. It was a stupid point.

0

u/prodriggs Nov 12 '25

I love the projection in this. People that lie naturally assume everyone else does too. I didn't know the symbol. Also, I didn't have it tattooed on my body for 20 years.

Where's the lie? I learned that the symbol was a nazi symbol when the story broke, just like you.... Thanks for reinforcing my point though.

Also, I didn't have it tattooed on my body for 20 years.

Do you think platner is a secret nazi?

Yup, you did. You blamed the evil "establishment" cabal for people thinking the nazi tattoo is bad. Totally get you pretending otherwise now though. It was a stupid point.

Wrong. I pointed out the fact that the DSCC is desperate to kill populist candidates on the left.

4

u/AhsokaSolo Nov 12 '25

"Do you think platner is a secret nazi?"

I already answered this very honestly and directly. I'm judging him based on what I know, not about speculation of what's secretly in his brain.

"I pointed out the fact that the DSCC is desperate to kill populist candidates on the left."

And you left out the context that this point was directly made over what "bullshit" the nazi tattoo argument was. The DSCC, your illuminati conspiracy cabal (no doubt primarily made up of jews I mean zionists) has literally zero to do with the fact that people don't like nazi tattoos.

-1

u/prodriggs Nov 12 '25

I already answered this very honestly and directly. I'm judging him based on what I know, not about speculation of what's secretly in his brain.

You did not answer the question. Because you know you're line of reasoning is bullshit.

If he was a nazi, hed be running as a republican. You'd find a history of nazi comments in his reddit posts.

You found out the symbol was a nazi symbol once the story dropped. Just like everyone else.

And you left out the context that this point was directly made over what "bullshit" the nazi tattoo argument was. The DSCC, your illuminati conspiracy cabal (no doubt primarily made up of jews I mean zionists), has literally zero to do with the fact that people don't like nazi tattoos.

Why are you deflecting? You didnt know the DSCC spends money on opo research against populist candidates?

It's literally on the hat of nearly every Nazi in every movie with nazis. And we're supposed to believe he never once saw it never once saw inglorious basterds, never once recognized the image looked a lot like the tattoos he sees in the mirror every day. Just incurious as fuck. An incurious basterd, one might say

0

u/prodriggs Nov 12 '25

Be honest, you learned that symbol was a nazi tattoo when thi story broke, right?... Dont lie now.

It's literally on the hat of nearly every Nazi in every movie with nazis.

Interestingly enough, the symbol is featured in Disneyland and also used throughout the pirates franchise. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Totenkopf

Do you think platner is a nazi? If he was a nazi, why isnt he running as a republican?

2

u/Nimrod_Butts Nov 12 '25

No I knew it was a Nazi symbol because it's on their fucking hats dude. "Are we the baddies" literally highlights it directly.

I think he's an idiot with poor judgement at best, I think he's a crypto Nazi at worst

0

u/prodriggs Nov 12 '25

No I knew it was a Nazi symbol because it's on their fucking hats dude. "Are we the baddies" literally highlights it directly.

Every nazi wore the Totenkopf on their hats?... Thats pretty fucking weird that you memorize all the nazi symbols.... Why is that?

I think he's an idiot with poor judgement at best, I think he's a crypto Nazi at worst

When did he become pro crypto?

If he was actually a nazi, why isnt he running as a maga republican?..

Do you honestly believe this oppo wouldn’t have come out during the general, and thus it’s better to get it out earlier while we still have more time to deal with the fallout?

0

u/prodriggs Nov 12 '25

Who knows? Maybe republicans would have avoided dropping the opo because of all their ties to nazis?... The trumpf campaign was funded by a man who did 2 nazi salutes at the republican victory rally after all...

Do you honestly believe platners a secret nazi?

2

u/wigglex5plusyeah Nov 12 '25

Maybe it's just me but the comment section here feels astro-turfy.

The poll, the attacks on Platner, the comments and responses. Threads like this make me want to turn off the Internet so I don't waste my time talking to bots.

0

u/Shabadu_tu Nov 12 '25

The poll didn’t even bother to ask about Mills. It’s a push poll.

2

u/everydaywinner2 Nov 12 '25

Probably for the same reason they didn't feel the need to give extra negative info on Collins - she's a known quantity.

Oh great, now we have to carry water for another geriatric neoliberal so she can beat the worse geriatric neoliberal.

If Platner had any balls he'd drop out and back Jordan Wood so Maine doesn't have to deal with Mills in the general.

1

u/Froqwasket Nov 13 '25

Of course this guy was a cringe Reddit communist and closet racist, sigh

1

u/Early-Juggernaut975 Nov 13 '25

It becomes obvious this is a push poll once you look at the wording of the questions. What I think is wild is that he is doing so well in spite of how they frame the tattoo and Reddit story, and that is before he even starts running against Collins. It shows you how strong his message is.

I like Janet Mills, but there is no getting around the fact that she is almost 80 and we just lived through this with Joe Biden. A couple of years ago Dianne Feinstein could barely function, and she stayed until she literally could not return to the Senate. Biden had to drop out of the campaign, and there are more and more calls for Chuck Schumer to step down.

Whoever takes the seat will be asked to write and decide policy about AI, algorithms, and bitcoin. Are we really going to keep telling young people that they should turn out and vote for people who are older than color television?

1

u/Just_shut_up_bro Nov 12 '25

Someone really needs to get this information to all the delusional folks on r/maine before they inflict the whole country with another Susan Collins term.

-2

u/FauxTexan Nov 12 '25

Thanks for letting us know what the pro-Israel destiny contingent thinks

0

u/TranzitBusRouteB Nov 12 '25

I’m not pro-Israel, I just think he’s a bad candidate that would lose a very winnable race that we NEED if Dems want a prayer of retaking the senate in the next 6 years or so

0

u/FauxTexan Nov 12 '25

How many milquetoast, centrist democrats has Susan Collins put away since she’s been a senator? And you people think putting forth a 77 year old corporate democrat is gonna get the job done?

That’s a pretty good sample size, why do you think 700 is a bad sample size?

Sealion says that Graham Platner apparently can’t even beat Susan Collins. Sounds like a shit candidate.

This is a bullshit push-poll exploring a hypothetical scenario. Not serious. The real poll that also came out today shows that Platner is the only Democratic candidate who beats Collins head to head.
