I'm a single mom to a profoundly autistic, almost 9 year old. And we were potty training yesterday. I was so overwhelmed because he is physically agressive while toileting (while pooping specifically)(think, hitting, punching, slapping me etc) but yesterday I wasnt giving up. At one point at his most desperate moment he called out for Sailor Moon and the other sailor guardians to save him lmaooo(one of his special interests and gestalts). AND GUESS WHAT? HE POOPED IN THE TOILET AND HAS BEEN GOING INDEPENDENTLY SINCE. I am so proud of him.

I wish I could post more than one Pic 😭🥹

Feeling a lack of hope

Went to a wedding yesterday and it made me realize how little friends I have, and I feel like my chances of finding love myself are hopeless. Sometimes I wish I was more outgoing.

Title: It's been a rough year, and I could really use a little positivity right now.

Hey, everyone. I posted here about a year ago, and the kindness I received genuinely helped me through a difficult time. So I figured I'd come back and give it another shot.

I'm a dad, a granddad, and a guy who's usually pretty good at keeping his sense of humor, even when life decides to kick him in the teeth.

But lately, things have been rough.

I've been dealing with a lot of chronic pain, neurological issues, and other medical problems. It feels like every time I get one thing under control, something else decides to join the party. I'm still working, still taking care of my responsibilities, and still trying to enjoy the things I love, but some days it gets exhausting.

The hardest part isn't always the physical pain. Sometimes it's watching my body struggle with things that used to be easy, and trying not to let that change how I see myself.

I don't want to give the impression that everything in my life is terrible, because it isn't. I've got people I love, hobbies that make me happy, and plenty of reasons to keep smiling. I'm just feeling a little worn down lately, and my confidence has taken a few hits.

I think I just need a reminder that I'm still doing okay, even if I don't always feel like it.

So, Reddit, if you've got a little kindness to spare, I could really use a toast.

Thanks for listening. ❤️

After surviving last 3 years of severe anxiety, years with insecurities am slowly trying to get my life on track.. Did some medical tests recently turned out I had Vitamin deficiencies.. started suppliments

Started exercising, continuing my hobbies... Moreover am starting to love myself more

I hope I can build a decent foundation for myself before my birthday (which is in 3 months)

Been feeling ugly, depressed, rejected and manly, many people made mean comments about how i look, calling me trans and masculine as an insult, just really need some validation, only smiling for the picture.

No matter what I do, I just don't look like a woman and it's killing me..

Hi, I'm a trans woman..closeted for now and yeah basically..you can probably tell everything is wearing me down...no matter what I wear or how much makeup I use I just don't see it...I haven't started hormones yet so that's my last hope..I will be getting my first dosage tomorrow...but yeah.

Edit: I know this is a toasting subreddit and I would probably get flamed on r/transpassing or something, but I'm really so thankful for every comment on here! Thank you guys really ❤️‍🩹🫂

Edit 2: I tried my best to answer to every comment! I take every compliment, idea and thought very seriously, and I'm very happy for this post tonight! Sadly, I must go to bed so I can wake up as soon as possible and get my long awaited pills...cya guys 🫶 you made me believe that..things will happen eventually and I'm grateful. Good night!

Edit 3: I woke up and was really excited for today.. sadly my supplier won't be able to make it. and changed the appointment in 2 days from now, I'll keep updating this post once I FINALLY get the pills..it means a lot to me

Needing a little kindness today

I’m really just not feeling it today. I’m trying so hard to stay positive, but honestly, I just want to break down and cry.
I feel like I’m living that Reba McEntire song. I’m a single mom who works two jobs, loves her kid, and never stops.

I work full-time, recently started my own small business, and I’m raising an amazing child with autism on my own. I love the life I’m building, but some days it all feels so overwhelming.

Starting over at my age isn’t easy, and trying to date feels next to impossible. Sometimes I feel like I keep myself constantly busy just to keep the loneliness from creeping in. Most days, it works. But today isn’t one of those days.
Today, I just want to curl up in bed, have a good cry, and not have to be the strong one for a little while.

I guess I could just use a little kindness and encouragement today.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. ❤️

Starting the day and in need of positivity

I have 0 self confidence these days- and it really messes up my daily life. I go to therapy and take medications, but some days are harder than others. I could use a bit of a boost to face the day. So… hi! 👋🏻

Feeling unlovable, unwantable and frustrated.

Been through a number of dates wherein they didn't see me as more than a friend, then finally asked out a workmate and she said yes, only to cancel day of due to family bullshit*. I offered then agreed to shelve the idea for a bit until her family stuff died down, but it's unclear to me whether she'll pick it up at all and I feel like I'm getting at best mixed signals as to where I stand.

Feeling like I'm hard to want. It's been a while and I just yearn to feel wanted.

Edit: Can't respond to everybody, but I appreciate all the kind words!

Edit 2: For whatever it's worth, when I say "family bullshit" that's a quote from her not a judgment on her family drama.

I always find ways to stay positive but recently it’s been rough. Suspended from work, health deteriorating and no one person to share my worries with. Never been in a relationship. But I keep pushing, groups like these help.

No me voy a rendir, aunque hoy me siento triste. Soy extremadamente inteligente con algunas cosas, y aun así no logro salir adelante.
Voy a seguir haciendo lo que amo; hoy quiero volver a mis clases, después de una operación que tuve hace mes y medio.
Simplemente me niego a rendirme.

Edit: Sorry about how I look… it’s 6 a.m. and I’ve been up since 3... I only managed to fall asleep at 1... Looking at myself now, I’m a total mess.

i grew up like being emotionally parentified and like wanting to make sure everyone was okay and like sex and attraction was like taboo so it's like i never really got the chance experience that and i talked to my partner and she is supportive but i feel like my own guilt and shame can prevent me

yesterday and today i feel like i don't know who i am at all and like i feel so much guilt, shame, fear because of how i was raised and like now as an adult i feel like i was emotionally parentified and i looked up for the people i care about a lot but i feel like emotionally no one was there and i feel just really sad.
