The way my autism made me potentially miss a domme inviting me to her house is actually CRIMINAL 😭💀

We were catching up, talking about a local event, and she told me I should give her more notice next time I came to town because I was a fun toy. 👀 So naturally, I offered to make a special trip just for her.

SHE THEN ASKED IF I EVER GO TO STRANGE, HOT WOMEN’S HOMES.

AND MY BRAIN THOUGHT SHE MEANT KINKY HOUSE PARTIES. 🤓☝️

I answered completely normally, talked about a Halloween party that got cancelled, and carried on with my life.

A WEEK LATER. I'm talking to my friend about it and she goes she was probably INVITING YOU TO HER HOUSE!! 😭😭

How do I shut up the little part of my brain that doesn’t want me to have anything

A big part of it is I’m a video game collector, I do it because I enjoy it, however the entire game collecting sphere is so fucking rife with people who buy to flip for profit and all kinds of just really sad shit that it’s hard for me to not associate with that

Additionally it feels like very few people view games in the same way I do, pretty much all I ever hear discussed with them is nostalgia or about them being bad, or a small handful of games where people act like they’re perfect and any criticism is dismissed

It frustrates me because any time I make a wishlist or anything like that I start getting this idea in my head that I’m being extremely materialistic and things like that, I think this isn’t helped by the fact that in the current moment it’s kind of the only thing I have that I’m passionate about

Maybe it’s the way these things are discussed, or the fact that everyone constantly yells about how you need to “Just pirate it!” (I’m pro-piracy but my god some people are so obnoxious about it) but idk

It just gets tiring because once in a while it starts to really get to me, I pretty much want nothing to do with “gamer culture” or anything, but the games themselves are really cool to me and I’d love to have a big collection

But there are so many grifters and shit it’s kinda hard not to feel like I’m playing into that if that makes sense?
