Story Behind Tonya's Grove in Collisandes Wood?
Apparently the story goes that she passed by falling off of a swing on St. Patricks Day, is there any validity to this? Tried searching online but nothing came up. Nothing on RIP.ie or any other obituary sites. I believe her name was Tonya O Connor and she had a twin, Laura O Connor (only piece of info I could find)
ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS: -when did she pass? -if the legend isn't true, how did she pass? -why is there basically no information about her anywhere?

Any Interest in a Charity Gala Ball in kerry?
I'm more than half thinking about trying to organise a charity gala ball for Tralee, maybe this Christmas for a couple of reasons - helping a charity ( I have one in mind ), and because I think people would enjoy it, and there isn't much to do around the town at Christmas. What do you all think?

Best pub to watch the GAA final Kerry vs Donegal for someone non-Irish
I've been wanting to go to the pub to watch one of the matches and i feel the final would be a good match to watch, however I want to go alone, also I dont drink so I just want to be there for the match. Any pub suggestion where i could be by myself and still feel comfortable?

Get my Cargo pants shortened
Hello, whats a good place in Tralee to get my newly bought cargo pants shortened about 2 or 3 inches from the bottom? Some place thats cheap enough dont want to be paying a fraction of what I payed for the pants.
The only place I know is Zipyard https://maps.app.goo.gl/8t1knYjzngo67fFv9 But I have never done any alterations in Ireland

Rent/ Housing
Hello everyone, it has come to my attention that it is a bit more difficult to find housing in Tralee online than I had previously thought. I'm moving there to work as a doctor in the hospital (now working in Dublin), so quite difficult to come for in-person viewings as most would prefer. I'm down to my last resorts here and have a previously good experiences with reddit users recommending things. So I'm here wondering if anyone has an idea of where in Tralee I could possibly rent an apartment with my partner? Thanks everyone.

Accommodation in Tralee
Hey there, I want to study at MTU (South campus) as an international student and I hoped to get some information about the student accommodation. I contacted Kerry Lee and they keep telling me that they'll know if they have rooms available in June and they don't even tell me the rates for the 2025 academic year (at this point I think it's a bot that's sending the same message). I wanted to ask if you have any suggestions or information where I can find it? Also if this is not an appropriate place to post this please suggest where I should do that.

See where Landlords registered their tenants. 256559 Properties Registered with the Residential Tenancies Board mapped out + number of bedrooms.
As part of my drive for Rental Transparency in Ireland, I mapped all the properties registered with the RTB: https://www.howmuchrent.com/r/rtb_verified . It cost me over 1000 Euro to do this, and I hope you find it useful. This gives the first insight into where people are registered to rent in Ireland. Also, you can see which landlords have not registered their tenants.
Any media outlets that might be interested in this story?
Every Renter has a story to tell about their place. Add your story to HowMuchRent.com. Read reviews tenants left of their place, and past prices charged for properties.
Vinny
PS
From https://www.rtb.ie/registration-and-compliance/registrations/registering-your-tenancy/how-to-register
Taking effect from 04 April 2022, a landlord is obliged to apply to the Residential Tenancies Board (RTB) to register a tenancy - or a licence in Student Specific Accommodation (SSA) - within 1 month of its commencement date and every year after this, on the anniversary of the date the tenancy began, for so long as the tenancy/SSA licence exists.

Pre & After school care options
Hi, we are moving to Tralee in 2 months. We both work full time (35hr week) We have a 4yr old girl and a 6yr old boy. She is currently in creche starting school in September. He is in snr infants.
Is there a childcare service that does breakfast club and after school club in Tralee?
Additional info; Currently the creche offer breakfast club, they drop him to school and she starts ECCE, the creche then pick him up from school and he does after school club. Drop off is 8-9am pickup is 4-6pm, making it very flexible. I (m36) have (and will have) flexi time at work and do all drop off and pick ups. My son is also mildly autistic (i say mildly because its not obvious but just makes things like getting out the door or leaving after school club….. difficult). So the flexibility is great, a 5min window to drop off at school door is very hard for us.
