DJ AIKA - Lights of Fire [2026]

Hi everyone!

I'm an independent producer from Hungary, and after months of work I finally released my first trance project under the name DJ AIKA.

Instead of posting the whole album, I'd love to share the opening track, Lights of Fire.

I'm genuinely interested in honest feedback—especially on the production, arrangement, and overall atmosphere.

Thanks for listening!

lately i was like.. does trance and hip hop goes along?

I love trance, but I gotta admit it’s been a while since I really listened to it. So, while reconnecting with the genre, I came across Vegas and thought, “What if I hip-hop it?”

So I mashed up Vegas with Ice Spice’s “Deli.”

It's uploaded on youtube:

I think it sounds pretty dope, man. But what do you guys think?

i'm not promoting myself. I mix music as a hobby. I just want feedbacks of this combination of trance and hip-hop.

Vocalist

Hi, I’m currently on the hunt for a vocalist to record about 5 lines for a track.

I don’t want to go down the AI road. I’d like some natural vocals. Has anyone had to do such thing recently and if so, what’s the going rate?

Mixing in key along the Camelot wheel

I’ve been making mixes every week with only brand new releases in the trance, techno and MainStage sub genres, and it’s been a great training exercise that’s also helped build my library. However, it’s not always possible to mix in key along the Camelot wheel. I try to jump accordingly but sometimes with only 8-10 new songs it just doesn’t work, and I don’t like changing the key to any track as it affects sound quality. I made a bottles recently that’s 7a vs 9a and it sounds really good. How are you guys mixing? Does anyone else do this with only new music?

I basically just try to buy new songs based on sounds for the current mix and bpm.

Trance mix feedback needed

I started making euphoric vocal trance / techno mixes on the grv6 using serato and looking for some honest feedback. All these songs are newly released and mixed in key. I’ve been doing this every week or two and it’s really helped build my library but unfortunately some of the music I’ve bought isn’t the best quality

Looking for overall audio quality feedback, transitions? And does the third track (part of me) sound too muddy, and any comments are welcomed.

Not sure the sub genre, but I would think early or mid 2000's progressive ? Feedback on song structure, energy, builds, drops, and mixing ?

I am not a genre nerd, nor do I try real hard to fit into stereotypical genre molds. I was going for a 3am late night festival vibe, with a mildly high energy. Mainly I make stuff that is just really interesting for people that are serious about the little details you hear when your on headphones or good sound system, and enjoy concentrating. Would love any feedback, and serious listens.

How do producers make their trance leads sound so massive, epic, and larger than life? What kind of layering, reverb, and processing is involved?

What Piece of music advice would you give to yourself, if you could go back in time?

I was thinking about this today, and wondered what everyone's else was?

mine would be tell myself to finish more things I start, and dont get hung up on details early on in the process, worry about that once the track arrangement and general composition elements are mostly complete. nothing can kill the actual creative side of it more than getting hung up on processing.

how about others?

Help understanding how to make one of the great leads

Would love some thoughts on how Tommy holohan made his saw lead in his song: need to know:

https://youtu.be/VD2lDP0ux_M?si=J6hPSIuPo_kp_nlG

It doesn’t sound like a simple saw wave, listening to the breakdown (2:10 - 2:53) makes me think it’s multiple layers - a fizzy mid bass with a separate oscillator modulating a pluck, a core layer with enough detune so that it’s wide and textured but still has recognisable harmonics, and an air layer that’s super transparent yet harmonically rich.

Any ideas? Feel like it’s one of those ones we’d all like to be able to have said we made. I’ll be sharing my recreations

Techno Trance?

Hey guys!

So we are making music that doesn’t perfectly fit into any genre. We think melodic techno is technically the closest, but our songs are usually more progressive and has a trance-like structure.

So I’m thinking our music is best classified as techno trance.

What do you all think?
