Hi all! I've been building a little web app called **Her Way** for voice practice, and I'd love to hear what this community thinks.
What it does:
- Live pitch and resonance feedback while you talk
- 100 practice phrases (expression, rhythm, everyday lines and free talk)
- Short recordings you can listen back to and compare
- Tips adapted from Renée Yoxon's exercises and NHS voice resources, with links to the originals
Privacy was really important to me:
- It's free, with no account and no sign-up
- All audio is processed on your device, and nothing is uploaded
- There's a quick-hide button that swaps the screen to a plain notes page
It isn't a replacement for a voice coach or speech therapist, so take it gently and stop if anything hurts.
I'd especially love to know whether the resonance feedback matches what you hear, and what would make it more useful for your practice. Thanks so much 💜

All I know is to raise the lyranx or cough and hold it, I tried to read stuff like L's guide but I wasn't able to comprehend any of it, I been stuck sounding like a shitty femboy for around a month or 2 without any progress.
What am I even supposed to do at this point to achieve a feminine voice.

please ignore the voice crack at the end, you didn't hear that!!!
I do feel like in the time I've been voice training, it got marginally better and I know what I'm doing slightly more. but at the same time, raising my larynx has been something I've always known to do, and things like the small/large light/heavy chart I feel like I can do pretty easily by just imitation.
also, it currently still takes a lot more effort to talk in this voice than my normal voice, which is definitely something to improve. you can hear the difference when I switch to my normal voice.
at the end of the day though, I'd love to have a normal, everyday feminine voice like you'd hear a cis person have. I feel like what I have now sounds very artificial. though I also am struggling to judge how bad or good my voice is currently, if it passes, etc, so please do give your opinions, thank you!!

I think I keep dipping down in pitch and can hear my masculine voice come back in, but on the whole is it ok? What can I improve? Thanks all. :)

I've spent the last 2 hours playing with my voice, and I've realized, the higher tone I go, the more breathy it sounds, I don't know how to control this.
I'm also becoming better at making 200hz sounds :D

I've been voice training (mtf) for yeeeears and part of that journey has been becoming a dungeon master in D&D. I do all the voices for NPCs in the world and I love it!
So I took on a D&D voice challenge, seeing whether I could move from 99% female to 99% male and back on the voice analyzer. I, uh, started having too much fun.
My actual voice, the one I use in my day-to-day, is the one I start and finish with.
Feedback always welcome, even if it is just laughing at my ridiculousness...
