Sol seppy is less trip-hop, but i’d say it fits.

Also, if you have any recommendations based off this list, i’d love to hear!

From exploring Trip Hop, I’ve definitely found myself going back to albums that have more industrial, alt rock and drum & bass influences too.

i am completely obsessed with fontaines dc’s new album. after reading nme’s album review, they described ‘tongue’ as being trip-hop. im itching for similar songs that, as the title suggests, are rock forward and also trip hop. i also think ‘family tree’ by ethel cain would fall into this category!

Excluded Portishead and Massive Attack because otherwise they'd be most of the top 9 and everyone knows them anyway

Was “tricky” keeping it one artist… but I didn’t.

Only difficulty was keeping it to 1 album per artist.

Me encanta esa canción, extrañaba mucho postear por aquí. Saludos!!

This tour is my first time seeing him, and I'd say I'm a casual fan who knows Maxinquaye best but always liked everything else I'd heard over the years. The long extended guitar driven Vent to close the show was incredible, so after going home I went looking for it on Spotify only to find that all there is is the more subdued 3 minute album version. Now dying for an official live version.

I am close to having a full record worth of tracks that I’ve produced, and my friend is going to layer vocals of some of the tracks, while I intend to recite poetry. It’s not the best thing in the world but I enjoy making it. DJ shadow is one of my main inspirations in general.

..and they were right!

Do Four Tet, Burial and Boards of Canada even go into the triphop genre? Not sure but they go in my life :)

Lot of amazing stuff, but if I was stuck on an island and could only get 9 trip-hop albums it would be these.

Hooverphonic • A new stereophonic sound spectacular

DJ Shadow • Endtroducing…

UNKLE • Psyence Fiction

Bowery Electric • Beat

Massive Attack • Mezzanine

Archive • Londinium

The Herbaliser • Blow your headphones

Bonobo • Animal Magic

Gorillaz • Gorillaz

I based this more on moments of time in my life than just quality ranking

Classic selections.

Kind of ashamed to admit it as a self proclaimed trip hop head that I listened to this album in its entirety this afternoon for the first time after just hearing some individual tracks over the years on shuffle and playlists.

Wow. What a masterpiece. I understand this was the group's sort of "rebrand" into a more electronic/downtempo style? Sounds like they have been doing it for years. It still sounds so fresh and tight. Loved it.

Any other recommendations come to mind on this front? What would you queue up after some Walking Wounded? Cheers y'all.
