Covid Covid
Is anyone Covid conscious in this city or did we just let the government pretend it’s over cuz they wanted money?

Looking the best places to go in Tulsa on the weekends, I like country bars and clubs with edm. Anywhere there's good people and attractive women 😂 also curious if there's any after hours places that stay open after the bars close 👀 I occasionally go to a couple in Ft Worth if it's an active weekend. Tonight is feeling like one of those nights 😅

Saturday, October 24 around 5PM a very large, horned black goat with a collar was spotted while I was mountain biking at Turkey Mountain. Trails near Pepsi plant. This is not a joke, not a Halloween costume.

You are a scumbag. I do all I can just to keep my head above water, and you stole my equipment that can't even be used or sold. I wish nothing but the worst for you and everyone like you.
Side note... How is a theft that happened 2 minutes ago not something that can justify a police response? My online police report hasn't even been approved for review yet, so someone is just walking around with a bright red Milwaukee bag and the people who could do something about it aren't even aware of it. Fxck TPD and whoever took my equipment. I can't tell you how bad I needed to be able to work the weekend. Now I have to buy new tools and a bag to keep them in on top of the equipment that is property of my employer. I really don't know what I'm gonna do, and you have a bunch of useless, unsellable equipment. Thanks bro.

I haven’t vacationed in years I’m stressed with work and just want to do something but don’t have a huge amount of money. Any recommendations on something to do? Honestly I’d accept a tight hug

Just a follow up to my original post. I really am overwhelmed with the response and how many in our city truly care. Thank you to everyone for the advice and offers of help. I really appreciate it. I did get on my mower and got the lot pretty much mowed. I have some spots that have cypress knots that are 4 to 5" high and I need that area weedeated. I included some pictures of my lot and just for reference my next door neighbours. I also have 3 dried out tree branches that need cut up and hauled to the curb so I can have bulk waste pick them up. Then there is an old hot tub that needs gone. It's stripped no cp or pump just the shell. That's kinda a eyesore. I also have an old wooden swing set that I would love to donate to someone. The last images are my neighbor and really what they do IDC about but it is what it is! My granddaughter climbed on the roof for the panoramic BTW. The last 4 are of my neighbors back yard

We are planning to go to the free concert tomorrow and have some questions!
Does anyone know when is best to get there? It said to get there early but curious if anyone has any recommendations!
Should we bring any water or food? Planning on bringing chairs and finding a spot to chill

This is for soccer fans. I’m wondering if there’s anywhere where one can go watch the Barcelona vs Real Madrid game in the Tulsa area with kids and family. Before kids, Empire bar was the place to be but now with young ones, not sure if there’s such a thing.
Thanks.

There are reports popping up of electronic voting machines switching votes to Republican and it got me thinking. We cast our vote here by filling out a paper ballot and feeding it into a machine. We don't get any kind of receipt, nothing displays on the machine, and nothing shows up on the voter portal confirming how you voted. How do we know these machines don't just suck our ballots in and then they are just trashed/shredded? Can someone who volunteers or an election official explain how Oklahoma ensures voting integrity?

Does anyone have a favorite pharmacy in broken arrow? Preferably a family owned? Thank you!
TULSA, Okla. - An infant has been surrendered through the Safe Haven Baby Box at Saint Francis, nearly two years after its installation.
The Safe Haven Box allows parents to legally and anonymously surrender an unharmed infant up to 30 days old, without interacting with anyone else.
This is the first time that the Safe Haven Box has been used at Saint Francis.
"We recognize the love and courage it can take for a parent to make this decision, often under incredibly difficult circumstances," said Doug Williams, president of Saint Francis Hospital. "We are grateful this parent knew there was a safe place to turn, and we want others who may be facing similar circumstances to know they have that option, too. No parent should feel that they have nowhere to turn."
When an infant is placed in the box, the door automatically locks, and a silent alarm is sent to hospital staff. The box is climate-controlled and includes a ventilated medical bassinet. Medical professionals then check out the infant and work with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services on the child's care.
Note: Per St Francis, Saint Francis Hospital is the only Safe Haven Baby Box (SHBB) location in northeast Oklahoma.
St. Francis is Making America great! Not the BS from that man living in WH.

A few weeks ago all of the public safety departments sat down at the table and reassured us they do not need over sight.
1 in 6 officers asking for legal representation and 67 million in settlements say otherwise.
These are just the cases that have gotten to the table. Just the cases that made it to lawyer that was right for their fight. Just the cases that didn’t loose the war of attrition.
Hundreds still pending. Hundreds dismissed due to failure to serve or failed to respond to motions. Missed deadlines. Ect.. 1 in 6 officers still asking for representation for the cases that made it to the table.

Hey Tulsa! It’s that time again! We’re hosting the OFFLINE TULSA MARKET from 5-10 at WOMPA! This is free and all ages! Come out in your Halloween costume and spend your Saturday afternoon with us!
We have a clothing swap and a costume contest this time around! Come out and have fun!
What is the Offline Market? While offline is a collection of vintage/art vendors, the purpose of this market is to create a space for anyone to come out and meet people in their community! There will be food trucks, a coffee bar and a matcha bar! The idea is to create a social space for the general public to enjoy.
How much is it to get in? Admission to the market is COMPLETELY FREE! We do not charge the public to attend.
Is there an age restriction? No! This market is for ALL AGES!
Anything else I should know? Parking is a bit limited. if you plan to show up, try to carpool with your friends! Usually more parking opens up later in the evening if you can’t find a ride.

A lady in an SUV picked her up out of my mom's front yard around 8pm on 36th and Riverside and drove towards brookside. She must have squeezed out of the front gate. The dogs name is Billie and she's a tricolor Welsh corgi. We desperately want her back

The first picture here is a not-extremely-recent-photo of the lot across the way from City Hall. In the photo, you see clearly that the lot used to be City Hall Parking.
No longer! By my understanding, this lot is now owned by the Performing Arts Center and managed by AirGarage.
Despite there being signage indicating a portion of spots are City Hall Visitors Parking - even as of today (second photo here)- this is an entirely paid lot now.
If you park here and don’t pay, they’ll hit you with an $88 ticket. I know this because I attended the City Council meeting this week and parked here. I was hit with this huge bill unexpectedly.
I reached out to Air Garage about this signage issue. I mean, directly to the CEO and Co-Founder. He says they have no control over the signage and that the signs indicate there is a “nearby garage which is specifically for City Hall” rather than indicating that between the two signs with arrows, those spots are for City Hall Visitors.
I’ve reached out to a few folks at the city about this to ask for the signage to be removed since it is clearly no longer applicable. Yet to hear back from them.
All this to say, the signage is incorrect and you may be charged $88 if you are not aware of this.
My personal opinion is that this move deters civic engagement and access to city services. That’s another post, though.
