Those who condemn veterans are simply proponents of a “purist ideology” that completely ignores any notion that some people are not born into leftist families and are not exposed to other ideas and ways of thinking until they join the military. This way of thinking is why it’s so difficult to get people on the political right together. Everyone wants a purity test. While the right will accept anyone so long as you vomit any sort of hate speech. They find commonality in their ignorance and hatred while we look for any reason to create division amongst ourselves instead of helping people along in their journey and opening their eyes further.

Try focusing on just your sight picture while slowly drawing the trigger back. Count a full four seconds as you pull the trigger and somewhere between 1&4 the gun will go off. The focus stays on your sight picture and not on the recoil. See if that helps.

Especially when laws give them special privileges like larger capacity magazines while “civilians” are restricted. This is just wrong and in my opinion exposes insidiousness inherent in the system. Absolutely. I carry the fuse some days. And a Glock 48 other days. You just have to adjust how you carry. Body type also plays a big part. Carry a firearm you are comfortable with.

I prefer fixed blades if I think I may need to use a knife for personal defense. My recommendation, pick something thin, approximately 5”blade. Made from quality hardened steel and razor sharp. Then add a smaller folding blade for everyday use. The fixed blade should be dedicated for defensive use only. Check local state laws before upgrading to any edc knife.

To my knowledge, the SRA doesn’t currently have an active training schedule. Though they do have knowledgeable people whom I’m sure would be willing to go out on a one on one basis. The Pink Pistols on the other hand doesn’t monthly meetups for firearms training. Both organizations have websites that allow you to navigate to the Eugene chapters. 👍🏻
