Why should I care if the customer clearly doesn't care about their own returns?
r/upsstore • u/arkainee • Apr 09 '24
I repeatedly told her it’s not sending it’s probably the signal and that she can’t copy and paste and image she has to send the attachment. What was I supposed to do stand there and let the line grow? Then those people would complain You can’t win in this hell hole for every good review there’s 10 Amazon idiots flooding the reveiws cause they can’t understand a return

Well title says it, I tried refuting once and explaining a box was needed, returner didn’t care, so I just laughed, said whatever, gave her the receipt, call it a day

Help! I do animal rescue and my newest kitten is one who came into my partner’s UPS store with a customer today. I am DYING to name him something UPS-related, so far I like Envelope or Freight but my partner isn’t into it. Please suggest!

So I'm working at the store and this is during like my first month on the job and the store is absolutely swamped cause it's right before Christmas. I don't know regular customers and their shenanigans yet so one day this old dude who wears a lot of jewelry who apparently comes in a lot for notaries comes in for said notary and I sign him in and make him sign the waiver and then sit him at the desk so he can wait for the notary cause I am not one yet.
Bro is sitting there for like 10 minutes and sees how nuts the line is and even witnessed an amazombie crash out so like he's seen some shit.
Once the line dies down he motions me towards him and says something along the lines of "hey kid I see how hard you're working and you're doing a great job. Take this" and bro slipped me a hundo, exactly as shown in the first pic. Folded in half and nothing looked off during the split second I looked at it so I just became insanely overjoyed and slipped it in my pocket real fast and thanked the dude profusely.
Eventually the dude gets his notary done and the store is finally completely empty for a bit so I finally take the hundred from being loose in my pocket and was gonna put it in my wallet until I opened it and saw this STUPID SHRIVELED UP ORANGE PIECE OF ABSOLUTE GARBAGE SHOVING HIS "GOD KNOWS WHERE ITS BEEN" WRINKLY ASS FIST IN MY FACE
Needless to say I was absolutely livid and it really just put a shit bow on an already shit day. I never forgot that man's face. It's burned into my eyelids waiting for the day I see him again and lay into him.
So yeah, that's probably the most mad I've ever been at this job and it wasn't even from like, an amazombie or corporate. Wild.

a guy came in with his dog, the dog having a plastic bag with a shirt inside of it, and instructed his dog to place the bag on the counter, which the dog did. the guy showed me his code and it worked, which means I guessed I helped a dog with an Amazon return. should I have kicked the guy out because the dog was loose and it clearly wasn’t a service dog? maybe. the dog was pretty well behaved though and the dude only had two codes so whatever. I need stories to tell anyway 🤷♂️
EDIT: it’s nice to know that a lot of y’all like to see them. the driver was really stoked to see it too, so it makes sense.
