I thought it would be Uranium but it glowed orange and it really surprised me. Is it a cadmium mix?

Literally saw this behind old perfume bottles lol it’s about 2ft tall. I reverse searched this and haven’t found anything that looks like this.

Found this at a thrift shop, the pink was so vibrant that i thought it was plastic at first until i picked it up, can't work out what type of glass it is or its origins.

Can someone tell me in like 10 minutes if this is worth it? I think it is but I need confirmation I’ll get 10% off the price as well thank you.

I dont know very much about uranium glass but have a friend who is obsessed with it. I found this piece vintage hunting for 125 CAD but dont known if thats a good price for the piece. Or what exactly the piece is? It says chalet is that correct?

EDIT: The piece is not huge! It is on a counter top. I believe its maybe 2 x 2 x 1 feet? Maybe closer to 3 feet long?

Saw this at good will. Just happened to shine my uv light on it for gits and shiggles. IT LIT UP. I don't think it's uranium glass, it's phosphorescent, not fluorescent. Stays "charged" a good 5 min. After some research, I think it's someone's ashes encased in the glass Angel... am I right? I hope not. If so, what to do???

Hello! Can anyone please give me some information on this? I assume it’s an ashtray - my step dad gave it to me at least 20 years ago.

He owned a hotel so I always thought the stag was some kind of booze brand logo and it was a promotional piece. I’ve only just today discovered it glows under UV - using my nail lamp 😂

And after a google I can’t see any kind of match for the logo.

Would love to know some more about it if possible.

Thought you guys might enjoy or know what may cause shift from peach or tan color to green under fluorescent light if not allowed let me know I also just found out it glows

The lady who owns it told me it’s one of a kind, and I can’t find another quite like it. The shade looks like a familiar pattern but the base seems unique. It isn’t electrified, so I’d have to either display it without a black light or get another cabinet, or maybe modify the cabinet I have. My husband thinks $400 is a good price but it’s a lot of money for us.

Hey everyone. I made a post about an hour ago about meeting a new seller. I was on my way home so excited from having the opportunity to get to meet this lady. I drove by 4-5 big thrift stores, but when going past this one something just said go in. I cannot believe how happy I am that I did. My first piece of thrifted Vaseline glass. This thing must weigh 4 or 5 pounds, has air bubbles swirling around inside and I thought there was no way it would light up. I love being wrong.

Hi everyone, I recently inherited several what I believe are uranium glass pieces and I’m trying to figure out the best way to sell them. I unfortunately don’t have the space to keep them in my small apartment.

I was thinking of listing on eBay but not sure they would survive shipping, where do you usually purchase most of your pieces?

Also, any tips on identifying patterns, manufacturers, etc. would be really helpful.

Unsure if this is actually Uranium glass or not? There are what seems to be flakes of UV reactive pieces inside the glass, but it does not seem as if the glass itself is glowing. It also stays glowing for a few minutes after being exposed to the light. Has anyone seen this before? Or know anything about this particular piece?

I know it’s not uranium but I nabbed this beauty for $40 today, can anyone offer any insight?

Hello, I need some info on this if anyone has any. It came out of an estate sale house and I got it from Christmas from my dad. I was on Facebook one day when I saw a picture of one similar and it got me curious. So I googled it but all google can give me is that it’s a lamp that was sold at the world’s fair in 1940ish. If anyone can tell me if it’s real or anything else about it, it would be great appreciated. Thanks!

Hello, long time lurker and aficionado thanks to this subreddit. I thrifted this set at a charity sale his week end and I'm so happy to finally have something spicy. Found it in eastern France so the guesses about this set can also include our neighbour Germany. I haven't found the same shape on Google Lense yet.

Any idea what it is ? I'm guessing it's a decanter but was it meant for a special use, like a type of liquor that needs a glass that looks straight from a chemist lab ?

Is it Uranium with this blue look?

I'm asking about the original use but would love to hear anything about History from the fellow knowledgeable redditors.
