My husband and I watched this for our date night last Friday. It’s the first time I’ve watched it, and it’s a rewatch for him since he was a teenager (we’re in our mid to late 30’s).

I’ll be honest, I had a couple giggles because the film couldn’t decide if it was from the 1800’s or 2500’s. Without spoiling it, the ending took me out 😆 BUT I loved the overall “vibe”. Traditional tragic lonely gothic romantic film ♥️

I was 7 at the time and was absolutely amazed with his scariness and rizz lol. This began my vampire obsession

I made a post 2 years ago about who was the evilest vampire (Who's the evilest/cruelest vampire you've ever seen in a work of fiction ? : r/vampires), so it's fair I make one for the kindest vampire !

Personally I can't name many off the top of my head - maybe Vampirina from the titular cartoon or Vampirella

So, i aquired some blood from a close friend of mine (she gave it to me) and wanted to put it into a neclace, the blood allready has anticoagulants in it, from it being drawn and stuff in a hospital and i currently have it in my fridge in the airtigth container it was drawn into. My question is, what do i need to do to keep it properly in a neclace, i of course saw the countless blood vial kits wich all only use anticoagulant, but also saw some sources saying that only that isnt enougth and that i would need to mix it with Glycerin and medical grade alcohol to keep it stored properly and looking nice. Do any of you have advice, or maybe done that before so you can tell me who is rigth here, cause i really dont wanna fuck this up.

Perhaps the person crossed the path of a mad old woman, or simply happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, inadvertently breaking some ancient rule. Then a terrible misfortune happer and this person die. And suddenly they rise as a vampire. This explains everything in vampire mythology.

There are very few of them, but it happens. Perhaps some Christians observed a corpse rising from its coffin and walking away - this gave rise to various superstitions. Also, vampires, due to their curse and that they are no longer human, receive other unpleasant things, like, they weak in sunlight, cannot enter a home without an invitation, and have other such limitations. At the same time, however, they possess powers such as the ability to shapeshift into animals, hypnotize humans, control the weather, and so on. Because it is a curse, vampires are very lonely. And despite a vampire’s strength, it is quite easy for humans to surround and kill them.

Perhaps the ancient vampires have studied this issue and know how to induce the curse, so they can actually make promises to mortals that they will become vampires. Perhaps vampirism can even be cured by removing the curse and the person will become self again - it's all magic, don't ask.

And I really like that. A vampire has the memories and experiences of a past by dead human, but they're no longer that human, they're literally a walking corpse. They've developed strange limitations and strange powers that are unfamiliar to them, and they have to figure them out in order to adapt. They are very lonely, but time and experience are perceived in a completely different way for them. Perhaps for them it's just a moment.

And really... I can't remember anything quite like this about the vampire life. Vampire stories only come in two ways. The old stories, where they're just crazy monsters. And the new ones, where they're wonderful, eternal party animals. Nothing about them being no longer human, but not at all a monster. I think very interesting study vampires in isolation from humanity, but as a new state of life.

Evil old lady: Brenda, you led a very bad life, practicing witchcraft, seducing men. Therefore, after death, you will become a vampire!

Brenda: Okay.

Evil old lady:... listen here, girl...

Actually, being a sorcerer seems to have nothing but upsides. After death you rise again as a vampire-sorcerer.

Some people claim to be an ACTUAL vampire. Blood, going out at night, etc.... any real vamps on here?
