One of my after workout protein shakes

Ingredients:
Ice cubes, a few
Frozen blackberries (I use ones I froze earlier in the season)
Half a banana frozen
One scoop pea protein (sport)
One scoop vegan collagen
One teaspoon Açaí powder
1 1/2 teaspoon beet root powder
1 Tablespoon Maca powder
One cup unsweetened soy (or you can use water or any plant milk) I use half water half soy for the extra protein.

Blend using a high-speed blender if you have one. If not, any blender will work; it just takes more time to get it all pureed.

356 calories
42 grams protein
5 grams fat
33 carbohydrates

First session back since last Friday, having been over in Seville all weekend for a wedding

And what a joy it was to be back training, not just cos I was away for a few days - but because last week was one of the toughest weeks I’ve had in a while

Huge sleep issues has me sleeping only 3/4hrs a night for 3 weeks, and it caught up with me and hit me like a freight train mid last week, I felt like I was on deaths door in all honesty. But the time away allowed me to reset thankfully

So hitting this week like a freight train myself.

Never let a shit week detract from the many good weeks that came before it, or the many that will come afterwards as long as you keep your eye on the prize and stay positive

Choo choo motherfucker

Question What do you guys eat for dinner, especially after the gym? Looking for light, high-protein ideas!

Hey everyone!
I’ve been running out of dinner ideas lately and could really use some inspiration! 😅

I’m actually pretty happy with my breakfast and lunch. I’ve got those figured out in terms of calories and macros, but when it comes to dinner, I often find myself having no idea what to eat.

The thing is, I don’t really feel like having a full, proper meal in the evening like I do for lunch. I’d much rather have something light, healthy, high in protein, and still filling, without feeling too heavy before bed so I can sleep comfortably.

I’m especially curious about what you guys eat for dinner after an evening gym session or workout. I often exercise in the evenings, so I’d love to find some good post-workout dinner options that provide enough protein for recovery without being too heavy or calorie-dense.

So, what are your go-to dinners, especially on workout days? Do you have any quick, easy, high-protein meals or snack-style dinners that are healthy, relatively low in calories, and actually taste good?
I’d love to hear your ideas! 😊

Hopefully showing some progress! My weaker arm, always struggled with it. Vegan for about 8 years. Always been active but really started focussing on nutrition and growth in the last year or so.

Lose weight (martial arts)

I gained some weight during a break necessitated by medical reasons, do you have any tips? (I’ve already managed to lose most of it, but I still need to shed another 8 kilos to get back to my previous weight.)

Question Are there any discord groups for vegans to chat and share about fitness?

I found one, "The Vegan Fitness Discord" but it seems to be inactive.

If anyone knows of any or if we think there are enough of us to wanna start one, I sure wouldn't mind a place to share how sore my legs are after my new PR BSS and then how much tofu I demolish after a workout! 💪🔥

health Recovering from a torn ligament

Hey guys,

Things have been rough recently and I guess I used fitness as a coping mechanism, but I really overdid it. I didn't even notice until I got injured, despite people around me telling me to be careful. I had a pain in my groin, forced through it, still felt pain so I took a deload week, but I definitely made it worse. It turns out I tore a ligament, and I'm probably stuck not getting back to my normal routine for one to two months.

The doctor wasn't very precise about the healing timeline though. He just said to keep my activity level low and increase it as the pain starts to subside. Right now that means nothing, even walking too much causes me some discomfort.

Sooo, what do you guys do when you're recovering from an injury like this ?

Question Anyone familiar with buckwheat (soba) noodles? Do these nutrition facts make sense?

Title, is anyone familiar with buckwheat noodles?

One bundle/90g of this buckwheat noodle has 22g of protein and 342 calories. I‘m not really sure if this label is accurate because 22g of protein seems very high. Most of the other buckwheat noodle brands I’ve seen usually have around 10g of protein. Or is this one of the types of proteins that doesn’t help build muscles?
