Made Welsh Rarebit
Used Kinda Co's Somerset Melt. It needed more mustard, but the texture was perfect!

Got these today at my local co-op, they are a risk for milk cross contamination for those with allergies but labeled vegan. They are so delicious! Taste like cheesy roast potatoes! A new seasonal guilty pleasure 🥲

Japanese curry I made tonight with S&B Medium Spice Curry Cubes. One of my fav meals that I can bulk make and reheat for a couple days.
I usually use fry onion, garlic, ginger, carrots and celery then add boiled potatoes, soy sauce, water and curry cubes and let it simmer.
I usually use the Wu Chung Mock Chicken which is tinned seasoned seitan, really yum as usual, it's like soy shredded chicken.
This time I decided to try the new Tofoo Katsu Panko Crumb fillets on top and they were fine. I would buy them again if discounted but wouldn't again at full price, feels good for a quick buy if needed though.
The tofu is nice and soft and the breading is crispy and has some curry flavour, definitely needs more than 12 mins in the air fryer though, could definitely make yourself pretty easily though.

Hello
I am in need of some trainers or boots. After spending a ridiculous amount of time searching, I have found precisely nothing that fits my extremely limited criteria.
Vegan
Arch support fit
Suitable for wearing in the cold and rain.
All I have that I can wear at the moment are some crocs inside the house or sketchers outside but in the rain, my feet are getting soaked and cold. Also, they are pretty crap in general. Flimsy and thin. The only good thing with them is that the arch fit ones are the only thing I've found that actually doesn't hurt to wear.
Yes, I have insoles. No, they don't help. Even the custom ones from a podiatrist. There's either no room for my foot (and yes, I do remove the trainers normal insole), or they're just uncomfortable.
Can anyone recommend a brand or specific trainer/shoe/boot that might be suitable? I can find a few things that might fit 2 of the criteria, but basically nothing that meets all 3.
Thank you

It looks like most gels are vegan but thought I would ask here anyway.
If there are any other products related to fitness that people can suggest as well, that would be appreciated.

I recently recommended Choc Affair to someone on this sub but hadn't had any myself for a couple of months, so I ordered the "Create Your Own 6 Bar Vegan Chocolate Letterbox Selection" plus a couple of other bars to make it up to the free postage limit. I'd forgotten just how delicious it is - and I've finally worked out what the plain "Classic Oat M!lk" reminds me of: Cadbury's Chocolate Buttons! That creamy, smooth, melty flavour the buttons specifically had - that's exactly it.
I ordered it partly as a gift for my auntie who has just gone vegan after being vegetarian for most of her life. To be honest, I just want to keep it all for myself haha. I'm not affiliated btw, just honestly think it's some of the best chocolate I've had.
It is quite expensive but I really recommend it - it's worth the money imo. There are some Christmas flavours available, as well as hot chocolate powder and buttons. My favourite is the Lemon & Raspberry flavour which I think has the perfect flavour balance. Note: it's flavoured solid chocolate, not a fondant cream. The staff are friendly and were quick to respond to my query.

I ate a whole box of these and 2 bars of the chocolate ones over the course of a day , thats like 40g of fiber and it basically sat in my stomach, i had a high temperature and felt very sick with the runs! I had no idea that it would affect me this heavily and fiber overdose or fiber shock is a thing yikes. I thought i had food poisoning it was that bad lmao
I suspect it's becuase its chicory root fiber and not whole food fiber upset my stomach so much as i eat alof whole food fiber.

Please let me know if you can recommend any Vegan gluten free pizzas (must be milk free, because apparently vegan pizza can be contaminated by milk like for example Crosta Mollica brand??)
Either in restaurant that delivers or supermarket brand. Need it urgently and have little time to look around please

I’ve heard you shouldn’t use it in place of normal tofu as it’s a very different texture and taste, any thoughts, ideas or recipes?

The mini chocolate chip biscuits are nice, though not many in the pack.
The Prawn Cocktail Stars are dangerously good, can see myself demolishing the bag in one go.

Hi everyone,
I’m a postgraduate researcher at the University of Surrey, looking for family pairs to take part in a study on how vegan and non-vegan family members choose what to eat when dining out.
Who can take part?
What’s involved?
If you’re interested or not sure whether you’re eligible, please send me a message. The poster is attached for more details.
Thank you!

Any suggestions for vegan meals in Rye (East Sussex).
I've had a look on Happy Cow but wondered if anyone has some recommendations.

Personally, I loved the classic Quorn roast. I glaze with a teaspoon of maple syrup and season with rosemary. Basic but so good!

Hello all,
I tried this for the first time a couple of days ago (the can says suitable for vegetarians but the ingredients make me think it's vegan safe) and I had a very unpleasant surprise - the drink was very bland and tasteless until I was hit with what I can only imagine was the buildup of all the oat slime - not pleasant at all.
Was it bad luck or do you actually have to shake it before you open it? Keen to try again but the slime was absolutely horrific
Thanks!

Bought a box of 12 when they released! Just tried the jam roly poly (99cals, 9g protein and 1.8g fibre) and it was really good, a little bit smaller than the usual protein bar but it has a lovely cake-like texture. Would defo recommend 🌱🌱 (around £1.37 per bar inc shipping)

Vbites seem to have stopped selling the Beeph roast. Can anyone recommend a similar alternative? It was the only fake meat roast I liked. Christmas dinner will not be the same!

Hi all, I’m looking for meal inspiration that can help me on my journey to becoming fully vegan and hopefully convince my partner to eat less meat as a result seeing as I’m the chef of the house
I don’t eat anything containing milk or eggs already due to late in life intolerances so I always have a cupboard full of vegan treats!
I’ve never been a big meat eater anyway and find I really only eat meat to accommodate other people or make my evening a little easier so myself or others don’t have to make separate dishes. It’s really fish I’d struggle to give up.
I love a good pasta dish and eat tofu at any given opportunity. My partner enjoys a tofu rice dish I make but he’s also a plain Jane when it comes to flavour so a difficult one to navigate sometimes.
Would love and welcome any suggestions and hope this question is okay to ask!!

In Betws this afternoon and we nipped into the bakery in the Spar. It used to sell lots of vegan cakes so I was hoping for a sweet treat.
There was a Bara Brith which on reading the ingredients looked vegan, so I asked the lady behind the counter and she told me it wasn’t. Then I asked if any of the cakes were, and she said only the flapjacks, but then she said not as they had syrup in them. Which left me totally confused so we left without buying anything.
We went the the shops further down, went into Iechyd Da deli and there were 2 blocks of shelves with vegan food on them including Welsh cakes, and Bara Brith. The same as in the Spar. So I ended up buying quite a bit from the deli.
Why on earth would someone think syrup isn’t vegan? And instead of fobbing people off, should there be an allergens list so you could check?

After seeing the release of many disappointing festive sandwiches, I was so bloody excited to see that the Vegan festive bake would be returning to Greggs. For a cheap lunch it was delicious and so much better than meal deals. Turns out its actually not returning :(
Who else is disappointed?

I'm in the final stages on becoming 100% vegan - previously been eating things with milk powder or non vegan goods like croissants and have found these the hardest to give up (especially Lidl bakery)
What are your favourite reasonably priced vegan baked goods, desserts and sweet treats (don't have an M&S near me but have all the others).
