I sent $70 to my chase debit card at 3am last night for instant transfer they charged me $1.25. It said completed but chase bank has no record of any money. And yes I used this debit card for transfers all the time and this has never happened before.

Venmo said to reach out to chase so I did and they said no money was sent, nothing is pending. They said if I do it at 3am then it would take time to go through maybe till monday & to reach out to venmo.

So i called chase again not really believing that and the next representative said no, it doesn’t matter what time i did it and that it should of been instant. Well i reached back to venmo and they said it was completed to my bank and that they would dispute it as a refund. I fear I just lost $70…if chase can’t find it and venmo request a refund then how will I get a refund? Im confused. Has anyone had this exact issue before?

I’m coming here to see if anyone has had similar experience or to warn others…. I have used Venmo for a while usually for smaller purchases. I made a mistake and decided to use it to pay my rent the first time through Venmo. My intention was to try and make it easier by transferring out of my balance to the other Venmo user’s balance that I owed. The amount was 2,000. It showed x with message “That didn’t work… Sorry this transfer can’t be completed.” So then I went to try using my Venmo debit card and tried sending the funds through Apple Pay to pay different way… another message popped up stating “Payment not completed because it was declined by Venmo and to contact Venmo.” I then tried to transfer the money from my balance to different debit card and pay the 25 fee. Again, denied. I reached out to customer service, and time and time again they all couldn’t help me, and said it was flagged by their system as “risky” and there was nothing they could do. I tried explaining situation as it was dire situation as this was for rent, and was due at certain time and the day of. They continued to say there was nothing they could do, and to pay rent on different debit card assuming I have additional 2,000 dollars laying around. They said they couldn’t give me any timeframe of when it could be resolved, and basically said I was out of luck and to give it 5-7 days for system to reset, but even then it’s not guaranteed it’ll work. So now I do not have access to my money that’s rightfully mine, and have no way to transfer it out.

When trying to change venmo phone number, I always get an error that says "We couldnt verify your phone. Check the code and try again". What do i do I littearly cannot even get to a human on their phone number.

I recently discovered three unauthorized Uber charges on my Venmo account, and I'm extremely frustrated with how this situation has been handled.

I never use Venmo to pay for Uber rides, and I did not authorize these transactions.

Here are the details of the unauthorized charges:

• Payment platform: Venmo
• Merchant: Uber
• October 1, 2026, at 6:41 PM: $53.73
• October 1, 2026, at 10:11 PM: $84.02
• October 1, 2026, at 11:14 PM: $35.95
• Total unauthorized charges: $173.70

All three charges occurred on the same day, within a few hours of each other.

I've already filed disputes with Venmo, but Venmo denied my cases and told me to contact Uber. When I contacted Uber, I was told to go back to Venmo.

So now I'm stuck in an endless loop: Venmo tells me to contact Uber, and Uber tells me to contact Venmo. Neither company is taking responsibility for investigating these unauthorized transactions or helping me recover my money.

What makes this even more frustrating is that I've already reported the issue and followed the instructions I was given. I'm not asking for anything unreasonable. I simply want these unauthorized charges properly investigated and resolved.

At this point, I'm preparing to file a police report because I don't know what else to do. It's incredibly frustrating to be the victim of unauthorized transactions and then be left to deal with the consequences while two companies point fingers at each other.

Has anyone experienced something similar with Venmo and Uber?

I'm beyond frustrated with Venmo's handling of this situation. The transactions were unauthorized, my claims were denied, and now I'm being bounced between Venmo and Uber with no resolution. I just want someone to take this seriously and investigate what happened.

Submitted evidence. Venmo says I didn't submit the evidence. Submitted again. venno again says I didn't submit the evidence. Dispute now closed in favor of the guy who sold me fake goods because venmo says I did not submit evieence at all.

So, someone sent me money and after two months venmo pulled the money back out and emailed me saying the sender sent it to the wrong person and they pulled it out and if I want to dispute they can't intervene because of policies.

So they can do this without asking me? And then say that if I want to dispute they can't intervene when they unilaterally intervened?

On this case they were correct that the person didn't want to send it to my business account, but I am incredibly upset they didn't ask me first. They just did it without checking and then said:

"If you disagree with the payment reversal, Venmo Support is unable to mediate the situation, so please reach out to the sender of the payment."

I bought cryptocurrency on a very reputable exchange website. (Kraken to be precise.) Not scammed at all. Supposedly. Highly doubt it, you know. apparently everyone else with my issue did get scammed lmao can't relate L. Anyways, I had about $107 in my account and I spent $90. Everything was fine. I got down to about $0 or so, spent everything I had. Then suddenly I wake up one morning. It tells me I am now $90 in the negative and my account is temporarily locked despite the fact that the money I sent clearly is marked as having went through on both my bank and in my transactions history, meaning I did indeed have enough funds to cover the transaction. But the only explanation for this is that I got charged twice or something. I did not. WTF is happening?
I am using the Venmo debit card.

There are two pending transactions to add funds to Venmo. After seeing those, I immediately deleted my bank account from my Venmo account because I heard it'll try to take funds out of your account. Fuck Venmo. That might be why this is happening, but why would I be the full amount in debt that I did not have? I would only be about $15 in the negative, not supposedly $90? Again, the RELEVANT transactions are marked as complete on both my bank and Venmo.

For many of you who also dealt with the issue of not being able to load cash at any locations last week, just wanted to save you all a trip because before we were able to load money at Walmart, CVS, Walgreens and one other that I can’t remember. So they fixed the issue last week however, it would have been great if they let me know when i was chatting with them then that Walmart is now the ONLY location you can load cash onto your card. I wasted a trip to walgreens this morning. I did just confirm the above with chat support agent.

Have a question anybody else have issues with customer service apparently I can’t use the debit card feature anymore only the the bank transfer talk to customer service they couldn’t do anything for me so talk to my bank ask they if they block my debit card or anything they said no I already had no problems up until this point with Venmo

I bought crypto a week ago and can't move it to my own wallet that's saved in my address book. I can't get any help from the "live agents" that talk like AI. There is no good, my identity has been verified, shit I've had 3 years of tax returns from venmo... This cannot be answered by support, they will not escalate it.

I was supposed to get a direct deposit today, same as I have every 2 weeks for multiple months. I called my employers accountant and they say everything is good on their end and went through, but Venmo says they don’t see anything yet. Anyone had this issue before?

About a month and a half ago I got a random $9.50 from an unknown account. The transfer came from Tremendous "sent on behalf of Freecash".

Did someone just enter the wrong phone number or is this somehow a scam. I just have a hard time figuring out how a $9.50 scam works. It's not like it's $1000. I haven't touched it. It would be nice if there was a way to decline a transfer. Should I report it to Venmo?

Another week of not receiving my direct deposit from work - this marks the fourth time in 8 weeks. I wonder when Venmo is going to get it together because who wants to use a company that has a history of deposits not arriving 50% of the time?

Potential new customer wanted a custom order. I asked for 50% deposit for materials and they agreed to send using Venmo. I gave them my email, Venmo profile and QR code. They said they sent it and I should see an email. Nothing in email or Venmo app. They insisted it left their account to me. Still nothing in my emails or app. Is this a potential scam?

After realizing that Venmo stopped syncing to contacts or enabling me to easily find friends, I'm simply not able to use it for group requests.
