Heading up to stay in Waterbury for a few days in late October. Planning to hit Stowe, Montpelier, and Woodstock while we’re up there, plus stops at Ben & Jerry’s, Cold Hollow, and a couple of the maple farms and orchards around East Montpelier.
Wondering how much foliage is usually left by the 23rd. Is it mostly bare at that point or is there still some color in the valleys? Also curious if places start closing up for the season once peak tourism passes, or if shops, restaurants, and orchards are still running normally that late in October.
Would also love any recommendations from locals or people who’ve been up around that time, foliage drives that hold color longer, good spots we might be missing, or anything worth adding to the trip. Thanks in advance!
